Reviews of 365 Cancer Prevention Society
Generally, nobody likes door-to-door donation drive. However, I'll like to give thanks and appreciation to the guy who came knocking my door twice on a public holiday. He patiently explained his objectives of seeking out volunteers for the organization, or monetary donors. I informed him that I will not donate until I look up more information on the organization, and he politely understand my point of view of not rushing into making a donation. I asked him if he can provide any reference should I make a donation but he said that is not necessary. Nevertheless, I have made a one-time donation, thanks to the guy's sincerity! :)
She nock d door. N wish me Good Evening after I open d door. She Explain to my about Cancer patient who are having difficulty in finance, especially low income family. Unfortunately I need to go toilet, urgently. So I say thanks to her for her efforts n i will go to d app n consider .
Was just approached by one of their “volunteers” outside PLQ mall, whom I found out is actually a paid employee of a marketing company that they engage after asking him a few questions. I have no qualms about this as the guy was very transparent in answering my questions but this may be an issue for some potential donors. I know many of us have terrible experience with sales people/ charity volunteers on the ground & while the guy who approached me (Ryan) was understandably sightly disappointed after I expressed interest to donate but was uncomfortable with providing my credit card no. on the spot & didn’t proceed to donate, he was not extremely pushy. He was in fact very friendly & he also managed to explain the services provided by the organisation quite well. I gave him the suggestion to feedback to the organisation that maybe it’s not a very wise idea to only want potential donors to donate via a monthly GIRO “plan” & to immediately provide their credit card details after being approached as I believe there are many like myself who would want to research more about the organisation and/ or may not be comfortable with providing our card details. Otherwise, good effort by the organisation to do more outreach & generate awareness as I had not heard about it before today. Some would argue the money to engage these “volunteers” could be better spent but I disagree. And I hope all volunteers, paid/ not, could be as professional & non-pushy as the guy I encountered. The job is not easy so they don’t need bad apples to create a negative experience for the public & make the job even more difficult.
Good
A place where the cancer patient can seek help from.
Best of wishes
