Some say the car body cost 2k, some say 1.2k. But no one gives me a company name nor the contact. With no option, I called a few LTA appointed scrap yards and Kiat Lee quoted the highest although the quote was less than 1k. Even though I have to drive my precious metal all the way there, the transaction was smooth until i bid my last farewell to my precious metal. There was another scrap yard that will come to you to collect your precious metal, but at a slightly lower quote. Getting home may be a fuss after you drop off the precious metal. Just to share.

From Worry to Happy moment. I believe many first timers does encountered similar dilemma on how to go about de-registration / scrapping of personal vehicle and PARF rebate. My car and I stuck in Malaysia due to border closing on Covid for more than 3 months. It dragged to beyond my vehicle COE expiry which I intended to de-register. I must thanks LTA's speedy responses through phone & email providing clear direction and most of all "assurance". Channeling the de-registration and scrapping through Kiat Lee Machinery, Kranji is another happy experiences worth mentioning. Officer there, Lady Angeline gave clear, easy to understand step by step procedures and supported all the task through so smoothly until completion. That eases all worries in customer mind. Although the scrap value is lower 😪 than others but final verdict of choosing an ethical & experienced professional surpasses all other values....😊
