Reviews of LK Performance Centre
Recommended by a friend, I decided to try out the Giti H2 tires. $90 per pcs . After a 2-hour drive on both dry and wet roads, I found the tires performed well and were not slippery. Overall, they offer good handling. Some people mentioned they are noisy at 75 dB, but I think the noise level is acceptable.
Note: it is inside the industrial park so need to pay gantry fee
Delivered as Ordered
I ordered tires from them online. When I found the place, they just went ahead about with the work. The owner was around I guess to ensure quality service. There was no upselling, no pressure to use them for anything else. Overall a great an experience.
I have installed the Giti tires from them and so far they have performed excellent. Best price/performance tires I have got to date.
Engine oil change and engine flushing using machine. Mechanic was very detailed in explaining the benefits of engine flushing using machine. Thank you, Alvin! Will recommend this LK Performance to my bros 👍🏽
I got my tyres replace with LK Performance, they were friendly and accomodating to my schedule. they were knowledgeable too. Pretty happy with my purchase of Giti GTR3 tyres.
Ordered online Shopee and installed! Thank you!
Update: After a slight period without response, they finally got back to me and got the warranty claim done, collected a new battery although I have yet to try.
Currently going to leave 1 star, unless their post sales service changes to a decent level.
TLDR: Battery lasted 6 months, time wasted here and there, trying warranty claim, getting radio silence.
....................................................................................-
Bought car battery from them, Bosch EFB, for $175. Was told Warranty for 1 year which is standard for most workshops.
Installed quickly, happy with purchase and left them 5 stars on Carousell.
3 months later, battery started having issues. Went back and they cleared the error on my car and told me to try again because battery is fine. During this time I had my car camera on, but not on parking mode, and no battery pack (ie. camera plugged to car battery).
Same problem after a week or so. Went back and they tested and told me voltage is okay. Was told to just let it be first, battery is fine. During this period, on off had battery low warnings and errors but car seemed to work fine anyway so I ignored it as per their advice.
In the interim, did servicing at my usual workshop and was told that my battery voltage was low, but I trusted the opinion of LK Performance so I let it be.
Error cropped up again every now and then, and at around 5 months since battery was changed I went back and requested warranty claim since it doesn't seem to be working as per the norm.
Although LK Performance prepared a spare battery for me to replace and claim warranty, they did some checks and told me the battery is still fine, and suggested that maybe my alternator is spoiled. They told me to continue driving since it's fine, the error code may still appear but doesn't mean the battery is weak. If battery is weak, the car will barely start up, and will be very obvious.
Lo and behold, at about 6 months after changing battery, one day, my car refused to start up cause of dead battery. Tried to jumpstart but the emergency battery peeps who came down told me the battery too weak, try jumpstart still cannot.
What was also startling was that they said the battery was not well mounted, and was rather dangerous. First sign of bad service? Maybe, but I gave the LK the benefit of the doubt.
I then changed battery (no choice anyway) and brought the Bosch battery to LK Performance to claim the warranty as planned.
When I reached there again (contacted them on Carousell each time), the guy at the counter smiled and asked me what I need help with. When I said it was about the battery that I wanted to claim warranty with, his smile faded and he looked away absent mindedly and asked me to just leave it somewhere.
Is that a sign of bad after sales service? Probably? But I thought maybe he was just having a bad day or unhappy that he has to do unnecessary admin work (although it is every responsible company's duty to do the warranty claim isn't it?). I then left it and informed the counter guy again nicely before leaving. He said 'Ok' without looking at me.
Since then I've had radio silence from the company, although I have tried to ask for updates.
Half of me is still hoping that I will just get informed when the time comes, but half of me believes that I will just get updated that the warranty claim didn't go through.
I will update this review if the service quality ever changes.
