Reviews of Firestone Bakery
Very nice sourdough. Cutting service from 12.30pm onwards
Go try the Olive sourdough, sundries tomato and yuzu cranberries sourdough!! Each loaf is about $10 and can feed 6 people as a meal.
The best soughdough bread I ever eaten! I bought the roasted garlic n sundried tomato flavour, oooo so moist, chewy and yummy!! Definitely coming bk to try other flavours.
Jalapeno cheddar is delicious and spicy! Over the last 2+ years Firestone's bread price have gone up whilst portions size decrease. Oh well still a nice treat for us. Nice to go after 230pm then can get bread loaves machine sliced.
The sourdough chocolate brownies (look for them in the chiller) are stellar. Really tiny but packed full of flavour (not too sweet).
Garlic herb loaf is aromatic goodness!
They used to have these sweet twisted dough sticks but didn't see them recently. Hope that returns to the shelves.
The first touch point of meeting a "forever person" always fascinates me.
How can one know when life will change in a day? How can one fathom when the start of a long lasting blossoming relationship could begin?
Most times these meetings are unplanned, and even if they were, how often do they become soaked with destiny and stamped with eternal intimacy?
Sometimes you *know* they are it from the first moment you lock eyes.
Sometimes it takes a few meetings for that knowing to grow into something.
Relationships and intertwining destiny are fascinating things.
As for me, it was a usual weekend morning in which I woke up craving a good bready meal, found a hidden bakery in my neighborhood and innocently waltzed in.
Little did I know it'd be the day I meet *Kougn Anign*.
He had a crispy caramel fermentation on the outside, with a salty peak to contrast the sweet, and his dough was made with japanese flour which makes his inside fluffy and chewy. Japanese flour is also high in protein. (Take my calorieees)
And as it is with all love and fate, perhaps this random Sat of all Sats is the start of something new with my Kougn Anign.
Went on a Saturday and bought two loaves of sourdough and a choc chip brioche.. the bread is soft and chewy with a light sour taste from the lactic acid. Perfectly done. Will buy the flavored sourdough loaves, like cinnamon and turmeric ones available only in the evening, next time.
I’m not the biggest fan of sourdough but my family loved the rustic sourdough bread that I bought from this bakery. It is a quaint, nondescript shop just a short walk from Tai Seng station, which is also within the vicinity of my neighbourhood. The staff is very approachable and friendly, even offering to sell half a loaf when I expressed that a whole loaf is too much for me. I really enjoyed the pastries I bought, the matcha azuki snail paired brilliantly with gelato (as recommended by them), and the pan chocolate was very reasonably priced. However, do note that some of their pastries may sell out by evening.
Happy to have chanced upon this bakery. A wide range of sweet and savoury sourdough loaves, and viennoiseries to choose from. Decided on the rustic sourdough, small chocolate sourdough baguette and the sourdough cinnamon brownie.
The rustic sourdough had a thin, slight crusty outer and really soft and moist inner. I've tried many varieties of sourdough, and this is the softest. Guessing the softer variety is quite popular in sg.
The small choc baguette had surprising pockets of molten semi-sweet choc. Brownie was less sweet and tasted like a healthier option and not buttery.
Definitely returning for more sourdough! Great customer service too.

I believe the bakery recently changed management. The staff are different too. Now they have a mini cafe inside the bakery for dine-in.
I would not recommended the drinks. Not the kind of barista made coffee (though they are using the espresso machine) I would crave for. It seems like they are not barista trained. Ordered 01 Mint Mocha, the syrup at the bottom was not even stirred to mix with the milk and espresso.
The service has dropped too. Bought a few chocolate baguettes and the size of the paper packaging was much smaller than the baguette. The packer didnt even bother or care to find the right packaging size. Truly Disappointing.
Nonetheless, One of the best sourdough bread you can find. Veryy soft on the inside but crispy on the outside!
I was recommended a cinnamon bun and it was really one of the best ive had in sg ! The iced americano went really well with it too
Their plain sourdough is unmatched.
I’ve tried many other bakeries and nothing comes close.
Phenomenal!
Freshly baked, best bakery in the area.
One of the BEST sourdough breads ever! Thoroughly enjoyed the herby/olive and sun dried tomatoes sourdough 💯 The thin and slightly chewy crust pairs perfectly with the soft textured core! Firestone’s sourdough definitely showcases the meticulous and detailed process of proofing and fermentation which not many places offer 😋
Keep up the great work in maintaining the quality of your products! Excited to try out the other varieties available 🤩 Thank you for making authentic sourdough the star!
Good food must be shared! Tried their sourdough bread for the first time and it is indeed as good as others have reviewed!
Soft and chewy in side, goes well with ham and makes a great sandwich!
Must try....
Authentic, well-crafted loaves of love from Chief Baker Jensen! I’ll be back for more that’s for sure!! Must try Croissants, Sourdough Bread and Choc Chip Brioche!
One of the few top tier bakeries in Singapore serving up high quality, fresh and delicious pastries and breads. The loafs are excellent as are the croissants. It’s kind of a neighbourhood hidden secret!
On 30-Jul-23, I decided to buy a roasted garlic sourdough bread with herbs and olive, and a piece of focaccia with ham, at $10.50 & $4 respectively. Wow! They are really tasty especially the sourdough bread 👍🏻
Unfortunately I ate them up before taking any photos to share 🤣
Have tried a variety of sourdoughs over multiple visits. All fairly good, not as sour tasting or dense as some other bakeries, perhaps to cater to a more local preference.
Prices have come up from when they first opened, but still reasonable given inflation. My favourite used to be the chocolate baguette, but they have stopped offering this for quite a while and instead replaced it with the double chocolate pecan version (also good, but quite a bit more expensive than the prior).

Bought $20/- worth of bread for our first visit. It looks really good, tried the cinnamon stick first and it was delicious. Will try the rest later.
We've gotten almost every kind of loaf here (we try a new one every few days) and they're ALL incredible. The curry buns and other sandwiches they have are delicious as well. Our favorites are the cinammon brownie (so moist and good) and the chocolate sourdough. They also have a selection of jams and oils (olive, truffle, etc) and balsamic vinegar, which I thought was a nice addition to their amazing bread selection. Try the breads!! You will not be disappointed. And as an added bonus, the staff are super friendly and lovely 💕
Friendly owner who engages her customer. They have a drink menu as well. On my visit, there was no seats in the shop.
Very nice 'lightweight' - not so heavily crusted - selection of sourdough loaves. Also sell yummy ciabatta. Also have tried their focaccia, croissants, pastries and cakes. Well stocked each time. My go-to bread supplier.
Very helpful and pleasant service 👍
An unassuming rustic bakery in sleepy tai seng . I’m always on the lookout for good bakes and came across this from online recommendations . As many others pointed out , they’re good for their sourdough and croissants . The sourdough comes in many varieties and are soft , moist and crunchy. Not expensive too starting at $8 ( compared to some celebrity offerings at $15 with $10 delivery ). Definitely one of the best sourdough offerings around without the queue .
Croissants are Uber amazing too , crunchy , flaky and thin . The ham cheese is my favorite and makes for a good brunch on its own .
Baguette:
SD base, slight tang, light crisp, good on its on when eaten fresh from shop.
Curry baton:
Frangrant, more sour than usual, I'm guessing there's some tomato paste involve.
Pastry:
They are crispy, doubt they are sourdough base, they taste as the labels said, average.
Bread is where you should go for.
This is the best kept secret in Singapore’s bakery scene!
Chance discovery in Tai Seng, and definitely always back for more as the sourdough bread is awesome. Recently bought the jalapeño and cheddar cheese one. It s soft and flavourful. Also tried the orange cranberry and turmeric flavour.
I have been buying assortments of Sourdough from Firestone weekly eversince fren recommended last year. Thanks for your creative production n awesome bread.my favorite is the crispy Mini baguettes , jalapeño cheese 🧀😋, eggtarts😀 Rustic flavour😍 chocolates slim baguettes😄never get tired of them. Goes very well with hummus or with kopi o. Bought tiramisu n the lovely yuzu cake with a fragrant yuzu inside...simply awesome. Will buy again.
This little gem has the best bread in town. I love their pain de campagne. The jalapeño cheese bread is a family favorite. I am lucky to live nearby so that I can buy their bread as often as I wish.
We absolutely loved this bakery. They are doing awesome sourdough products. Our favorite is their bread and the incredible chocolate/cinnamon brownie. Nice shop and super friendly stuff.
Love their sourdough bread. They also come out new flavours once in awhile which are really nice. Their latest beetroot while abit x is lovely to eat.
Good variety of sourdough, jalapeño cheddar, sun dried tomatoes, olive. Their chocolate chip sourdough is quite unique and tasty.
Bought their Beef pastrami and Chicken avocado sandwiches. It was really good and portion was huge too! Glad they have sandwiches 🥪 now 😋
Very delicious bread, esp the chocolate baguette. Would have been 5* if the price was more affordable and bread cutting services provided.
Very friendly neighbourhood bakery with wide range of breads and pastries
Love the bread! A decent selection of breads and pastries at reasonable prices! Swing by if you're in the neighbourhood!
Great place to get bread! My favorite is the rosemary olive bread, a must try!
