Reviews of Fredo's Baker
Skip the curry chix pie. Lacks flavor and should be heated longer. Cold in the inside.
Go straight for the lemon gianduja tart that has a really good stiff peak. 🤣 not too sweet and lovely texture.
First time visit and bought a salted caramel tart. Was looking forward to buy their fig tart but it wasn't on display. Guessed it's not in season. Good quality tart indeed! Not too sweet and cream used is fresh. Will definitely buy again when I visit Sunset Way next.
Situated at void deck of hdb.. Ample parking.
This cafe has limited outdoor seating. But can be very hot. The staff was patient while deciding what to order
Orderd :
Almond Raspberry cake : taste was just right... Not too sweet.
They served ice coffee, tea, amd soft drinks.
Quality and interesting bakes. Tried scone and chocolate danish. Scone is one of the best I have tried. Danish pastry and chocolate are good on their own, but they do not match well when put together. I will try their other non chocolate danish next round. Portions are huge.
tried their scones, the orange one is so refreshing, want to try the dessert next time!
Amazing fresh brioche ($7.30, already 1/5 eaten). Paired with coffee from next door for a happy and shiok Saturday morning
Love the scones here! One of the better ones I've tasted in all of Singapore. They have savoury and sweet ones. About 2 different flavours a day, sometimes more! Their bakes are a little pricier than the usual "artisan bakery" but I think it's justified since they taste rather good! Some staff are friendlier than others heh.
Recently, they discontinued credit card payments. I find this extremely disappointing. Definitely a deterrent for making more purchases.
The tarts & scones here are wonderful.
Prices are on the higher side, but it is definitely worth it.
No doubt it's pricey, but ingredients are top-notch! Will definitely return very soon!
I am a huge fan of Fredo's and I believe they are one of my top 3 favourite bakeries in Singapore. The team is passionate, skillful and superb at what they do. They have the BEST tarts in Singapore but everything else from sourdough breads to scones to pastries and quiches and cakes & cookies, you'll be amazed by the quality of what they bake. Ingredients are top-notch and generous. I have frequent Fredo's for over 3 years and catered their cakes & tarts for various birthdays. Each time is a pleasant surprise for me and my guests! Highly recommended :)
we’ve been coming here ever since receiving a box of tarts as a gift. Now we give them as gifts too.
The tarts are all delicious in their own right, and made fresh daily. The cakes are equally good.
By far the best pastry shop in our opinion and I feel they deserve a lot more recognition.
Good job guys 👏🏻
Decided to order blackforest cake for my birthday and it did not disappoint. The generous amount of rum soaked cherries and fluffy sponge taste so good! Most importantly is not too sweet.
Mr. Yang, you genius. Perhaps the best carrot cake in Singapore.
Small bakery but many choices to choose from. Pricy but their quality and variety explains. Don’t forget to pickup their buns because they go out quickly. Affordable 10-15 varieties of mini buns - chicken, otak, potato curry etc that satisfy all taste. Sweet. Cheesy. Savory. Spicy~ yum yum.
an incredible bakery with top notch baked goods. their assorted buns, sourdough, cakes and tarts are all great. i’ve been buying it for my family and friends for many years.
Delicious baguette that reminds me in taste and texture of the ones you can buy in France. Highly recommend but do come early as they may be sold out as early as 11am!
Pricey for its slices of cakes but it is worth it for quality. If you really want solid well made atas cakes, Fredos a good choice. When I feel rich I will go get a slice at Fredos.
They also sell biscuits, and breads and pound cakes.
This place had really nice tarts and cakes. But price is slightly on the high side
Despite a change of shop name, stall is still helmed by precious owner who operated Drips. Tried their new cake Yuzu De Flan...and one word...deeeee-licious. Yuzu cake priced at $8.50 but is pretty big sized, around a quarter of a 1kg cake. Cake was not too soft that it will collapse upon pressing of a fork. Steamed and slightly salted grated coconut blend well with the yuzu fillings. Definitely a return to buy candidate.
Stall owner would be offering this as a permanent feature but only avaialble during the weekend. Problem due to ease of sourcing freshly grated coconut...no longer as easily seen in wet markets nowadays as this is a labourous task that does not pay well.
Place still offers great tasting tarts as before...apple, pear, macadamia, mixed berries ( using seasonal fruits )
I would never say no for a walk at the connector from Ghim Moh to Clementi cos Fredo is my reward. The butter cake is one of the best we have eaten n the fruit pies is irrestible. Tough choice here. If u r there now, take the fruit n nut loaf. For $7.20, loaded with lots of nuts, seeds n fruits it is worth every bite.
Fredos makes great cakes and tarts and has a nice savoury range including quiche buns and breads. His prices are not cheap but you do get really good quality freshly baked goods.
Amazing scones and cinnamon bun. This is a weekly visit place. Also stock up on walnut and fruit bread loaves if available.
my brother ate the entire jar of sea salt chocolate cookies and now I have none left
Nice Bakery! Try the chicken pie if you can, love the egg in the pie and the crust is nice!
Delicious lemon lime tart, not too sweet. Great place to chill in the hood.
nice little shop provides various choices of bread including sourdough.
Love the yuzu tarts!
Nice smell and excellent staff
