First time ordering from Monice Bakes. Was so glad that my best friend & her family loved the "Surprise Me" cake which I ordered for them. It was a beautiful & delicious cake (vanilla flv cake with fresh strawberry filling). Recommend. 👍 I will definitely place order from Monice Bakes again!!

It is my first time ordering customized Birthday cake with Monice after seeing so many good reviews. While the process of communicating the details of the customized cake was a little difficult over Whatsapp and response was a little slow, Monice had patiently narrowed down to the best choice of design out of all my ideas thrown to her after about 4-5 days. I was amazed at the end product, as she made a truly beautiful Avatar theme edibile photo print cake. She was also kind to include another logo image at no extra cost, despite the design had been finalized previously. Apart from the awesome exterior, the cake sponge was soft and not overly sweet. I chose vanilla sponge with strawberry and chocolate ganache fillings, which few people commented the taste was confusing. Maybe the strawberry fillings would be better on its own or go better with Nutella. I wished Monice would have made better recommendations on the combination of fillings that would match well with the choice of one's sponge flavour instead of being neutral about it. Overall, we were very pleased with the cake and it certainly made my daughter very happy!

I mean really? are you reading these reviews to confirm your order from Monice Bakes? Come on,some customized cakes require at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Let's not waste time here,alright? So here's my honest review and experience with Monice Bakes! A young but skillful home based baker. If you ever chance upon on Google or even Fb,she really lives up to her 5 stars ratings. Long story short,I was searching for customized cake for my GF birthday ~ Initially, I contact her and request for a steamboat customized cake.Yes,I'm not being absurd or making things difficult for Monice but I'm just asking if she's fine with it. Yup,she's being upfront yet politely telling me she is not capable of making such sophisticated design. So some weeks have past and I'm still not confident or convinced by any other recommended bakers from google search. I recall that my GF loves Crayon Shin-Chan and I decided to try my luck requesting Monice again. This time round,I didn't expect her to agree and it turn out to be very cute~ My GF loves it so much and sorry she cant bear to eat them except the Earl Grey cake. Her reviews - she's impressed by Monice decorative skills on the cake and aesthetic skills on Shin-chan!!! Cake is flavourful and nice scented ~ PS,cake is intact upon delivery! How great is Monice Bakes? I would have gave it a 10/5 stars! Thank you so much ,Monice! Really awed by the cake you baked~

She also offered to make a fondant topper of a robot drawing my son did, and everyone was so impressed by it! The recommended cake size was also perfect for the number of attendees. It was a last minute order for "blues clue" theme for our kid's birthday, since we were lost among the hefty prices heard from other bakers for the same design. WhatsApp response was quite swift , reasonably priced and the detailed designed Blues clue pup that your kid might wanna keep as a memory. She gave us a simple thawing instruction to save its authentic taste after getting delivered, so we followed those exactly and the taste was excellent! . Recommended !!

I ordered a customized yellow cake featuring an elephant with a apple on its head, specially requested by my 3 year old daughter. She loves the cake so much. We tried the chocolate cake with Nutella filling and it tastes great. We can see the effort that was involved to create the details of the cake. The cake has a creamy texture, and the fillings are kept moist and soft. I will order from Monice again for upcoming celebrations again. I ordered the 6" vanilla banana cake, a perfect size for 10-12 person and my family LOVED IT. The sponge is nice, not too sweet (which is great). Fresh banana was a good combination with vanilla. The cream was also not too sweet and very smooth (unlike those super traditional creamy butter cream). I don’t usually like cake creams but I ate all the cream on her cake. of course, the design was really nice, nicer than the ones which I initially thought of. The owner was also really helpful, catering to my many requests and also giving me advices such as whether I would like to replace fondant with creams since elderly wouldn't like too much sugar. She's really thoughtful! Super worth for the price and quality you get! Will definitely order again 😊

She gave her opinions on how the “surprise me” cake would be given my selection, gave her inputs and thoughts bout it, and behold, it was more than fantastic. Highly recommend Monice Bakes! I'm in the US and ordered a cake for my sister in Singapore. This was my first time ordering a custom cake, and Monice made the process so incredibly easy (one might say it was a piece of cake :P). She was friendly, accommodating, and responsive about everything from designing the cake to ensuring delivery. The cake was absolutely adorable and looked exactly how I hoped it would. Monice was even kind enough to include a personalized card for free, which I greatly appreciated!

We ordered a customized cake for our baby’s 1st month! Light and fluffy for the sponge cake! Not too overwhelming with the early grey taste! I think it’s a good size especially during this period of time. We fed about 6 pax in total! Customization of the cake is super cute that we don’t bear to even cut the cake!

My daughter and her friends like the unicorn and rainbow creme design on the cupcakes. I had requested for the colour on the unicorn to match the colour of rainbow creme and it turns out nicely done. Overall the ordering and collection process is quite smooth. Downside probably is you can’t call her directly to discuss the designs (which is prob faster and more assuring) as she communicates via text / WA only. Nonetheless the cupcakes turned out great and I will most likely order again from her in future.

Highly recommended. It was my first time ordering a customised cake and I was not disappointed at all. My friends and I had pretty last minute plan to make a customised cake for our friend’s birthday. Usually these cakes require 1-2 weeks in advance. When I contacted her 2 days before the day we needed the cake I didn’t really expect her to agree. Nevertheless she turned out to be so friendly and accommodating and of most utmost importance Monice was really professional throughout. The cake turned out beautifully and was exactly what I envisioned. The cake on the other hand, was superb as well. Monice’s artwork on the cake is superb, so meticulously and professionally done. My teenage daughter squealed in delight on seeing the Gudetama characters on the cake. The cake is of the right moisture and not too sweet. Although the mocha flavour is not exactly what we had expected but overall it’s good.
