Cinnamon bread is soft n tasty. At $1.80 is worth it. Chocolate Huat cake is like a Chinese muffin which is a good try and not too sweet. Will be back to try other breads.

#02-31 Mr Bready Mr Bready is operated by 2 young hawkers and they created really good bread and kuehs with a new twist. Everything is done on site at their stall and their star item is the Huat Kueh of various flavours. The best Huat Kueh flavour is the Rose Lychee, with a sweet smell and nice sweet bite of lychee in it. There are other types of breads that are good as well such as more traditional stuff like Hot Dog Bun and Luncheon Meat Bun, while newer buns like Cinnamon Brown Sugar Bun and the Black Sesame Buns were really great too. Mr Bready provide quality products on par or even better than the big names out there, they always work their hardest during the festive seasons (CNY and X'mas) to bring us the goodies that we can enjoy and share with our family and friends. As one of the many who supported them for years. I feel very bad until now then i got the time to do a positive review for them as there are many out there who are like me that have supported them but had not left their review yet. Their huat kueh and ang ku kueh are so popular sometimes you may not be able to get the flavor you want unless you contact them in advance and make reservation.

I’ve been patronising Mr Bready since they started. Their wide range of quality, innovative bakes is impressive. From their huat kueh to sambal love letters to salted egg yolk cookies, every product reflects the heart work of Jason and Rodney. It is more than just a business. The gentlemen are working exceedingly hard to evolve traditional heritage delicacy of huat kueh, ang ku kueh and breads with exciting modern and instagrammable twists. Clever pick of attractive flavours combination which the innovation constantly evolves. When it comes to the yearly significant moment for Lunar New Year snacks shopping, their unique twist of pineapple tart series and love letters are my must-have every year. They are the gifts I carry across the globe for my friends and colleagues to showcase my identity. It is truly a rare find gems.

Visited Mr Bready one of the morning wanting to try their traditional steamed cake (Huat Kueh) with a twist of different flavor and filling. We have been told it is best to reserve but we decided to just try our luck. Managed to get the yam flavor at first. It was so good that we decided to wait for other flavor. Most of the cake (including the normal cake) in the market are either too sweet or buttery. But the steamed cake made by Mr. Bready is moist, not overly sweet, and manage to keep the nice aroma of the supporting ingredient (Yam, sweet potato, chocolate and etc). We end up bought 3 boxes instead of just 1. Will definitely come back again.

Definitely one of the best or if not the best Huat Kueh (Steamed Sponge Cake) in singapore. Unlike those left at the road for praying only those sold by this shop are best eaten. Totally worth the trip down to buy, make sure u call to reserve first if not u will be disappointed as it is snapped up very fast...
