We love the breads here. The cardamom bun is bursting with flavour and so delicious. We also keep coming back to takeaway the sourdough pastries like croissants and brioche rolls as our gluten-sensitive kids respond well to them and like them. It’s easy to see why this cafe is so popular with the residents in the area!

Pelle and Pepe is Joo Chiat’s best kept secret for delectable sourdough pastries, chill vibes and cool beats. Truly remarkable how this lean two-person team can churn out such a wide variety of artisanal bakes from Wednesday to Sunday. My favourites are the Heirloom Tomato, Burrata & Gin Salt Danish (with gruyere slices and a light, flaky base that create the perfect savoury-sweet combination), Apple Chausson (so comforting when eaten warm), Sourdough Whole Wheat Croissants 🥐 and their Brioche loaves. 🍞

A good place to stop by for some coffee and pastry. The menu seems to be depend on items available on the day of visit. Very comfortable to sit in and enjoy the food, but can not sit for long as there is limited seats available.

This is truly a hidden gem. Lovely coffee. Love the apple chausson hand pie. Almost always run out by Noon.
