Cool concept by Polar to have a sit in cafe. Had the chicken caesar salad and it was honestly not bad given the price point for a meal at cbd area. Drinks are also sold here. Service was quick and pretty friendly. Fuss free lunch spot!

Pastries & Cakes @ Polar Puffs & Cakes Bistro. . Originally established as Polar Café in November 1925 by couple Hinky Chan and Shum Shui Yu, this Singapore heritage brand is today known as Polar Puffs & Cakes Bistro, with multiple outlets across Singapore. . Most outlets are pure takeaway kiosks, but those under Polar Puffs & Cakes Bistro are sit-down outlets for a quick bite. . The Curry Puff (SGD $2.60) features a crisp flaky puff pastry filled with chunky boneless diced chicken, tender potatoes, and crunchy red onions, marinated in a thick blend of 9 spices. Warm and satisfying, each bite gets you a bold buttery bready starchy savoury salty spice sweet flavour kick. . The Tuna Puff (SGD $2.80) features a crisp flaky puff pastry filled with flaky tuna fish flakes, bouncy button mushrooms, and crunchy red onions. Carries lovely buttery bready meaty savoury vegetal earthy sweet flavour, without any unpleasant fishy taste, so nice. Good amount of filling too. . The Chicken Pie (SGD $3) features a crisp flaky puff pastry filled with chunky boneless diced chicken, tender potatoes, bouncy button mushrooms, and juicy corn kernels. Has enticing meaty sweet vegetal savoury bready buttery flavour. . The Black Pepper Chicken Puff (SGD $3.20) features a crisp flaky puff pastry filled with chunky boneless diced chicken, mixed with generous black pepper. Has mild meaty savoury peppery spice bready buttery flavour, nice though I wish this was more intense in taste. . The Chicken Sausage Puff (SGD $2.80) features a crisp flaky puff pastry stuffed with a classic chicken sausage, tender and snappy. Has mild meaty salty savoury bready buttery flavour. What I really like about this is actually the puff pastry itself. . The Sugar Roll (With Sugar) (SGD $2) features a light airy fluffy sponge cake layered with a swirl of creamy fresh milk cream, topped with a layer of fine granulated white sugar crystals that lends a slight crunch to texture. With no aftertaste, this has lovely cakey buttery milky sweet flavour. . The Ondeh Ondeh Roll (SGD $2.80) features a light fluffy soft sponge cake infused with pandan / screwpine leaf essence, rolled around grainy chewy rough grated coconut infused with gula melaka / palm sugar, and dusted with icing sugar. This carries lovely earthy floral nutty sweet flavour, so addictive and tasty.

Somehow waffles is a popular dessert during tea time and we were glad that polar started their waffles services. The q is fast and waffles are delicious. I ordered the breakfast and its kaya and butter slices. It’s thin waffles and soft and delicious.

Got a pandan waffle with crunchy peanut butter filling and it was absolutely amazing! Perfect thickness, pandan fragrance instead of any off-putting smell of egg, and most importantly it had such a unique chewy inner texture. As the staff slathered on the peanut butter filling on just one half of the waffle, was wondering whether to get additional filling for $0.50. Decided against it, and the filling turned out to be the perfect amount with some even oozing out. With about 4 or so waffle makers, the wait time was under 5 minutes as well even during the lunch hour. Really satisfied and glad to have found this at such a convenient location in the CBD. With such a perfect recipe, hope Polar considers introducing these waffles at their other branches!

Pleasant surprise to find Polar Cafe at this busy area! A good quiet spot to quickly recharge amidst a hectic workday. The Dippy Eggs with Flaky Cheese Sticks is a tasty creative spin from our usual Eggs and Kaya Toast set - at a lower price tag too. Happy with my meal 😀

SG Breakfast Waffle is finger licking, the waffle is soft and crisp. Kaya has pandan taste and blends well with hot salty butter, but I really hope they could offer small size as one is too much for me

Huey Xing was super efficient, friendly, and willing to help in every way. She took the time to explain the different flavors and ingredients, made excellent recommendations.. Her enthusiasm and passion for the products were evident and contagious! What struck me most was her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. She patiently answered all my questions, helped me with my selection, and even packed my purchases nicely. Huey Xing is an asset to your team, and her exceptional service has earned my loyalty. I will definitely return to Polar Cafe and recommend it to friends and family. Please pass on my heartfelt appreciation to Huey Xing for her outstanding service. She truly deserves recognition! I legitimately think that these are the best waffle I’ve ever had in Singapore. The pandan flavor is superb and the surface of the waffle is crispy. The waffle does not have that gummy texture which I always encounter from waffles of other places. And the crispiness endured while I brought it up to my office 5mins away.
