Came here on a recommendation on a weekday evening. Firstly, this place is really REALLY inaccessible without a car, we had to walk about 15 minutes uphill in a forest-y area from the nearest bus stop and by the time we got there we were a bit sweaty already. However, I have to say, the place was really cool, it is situated in a mansion and has a very classy 90s yet modern look to it. The exterior and interior was very well decorated and the music they were playing also suited the vibe, 5/5 atmosphere. The service was also great, our waiter attended to us quickly. Seeing as everything was almost perfect, I thought the food was going to be amazing but I was disappointed. We ordered the Salted Egg Fries, Coffee Hazelnut Wings, Chilli Crab Pasta and Bak Kwa Pizza along with a happy hour deal of 2 cocktails, the Singapore Sling and Old Fashioned. Starting off with the good, the drinks were decent and decently priced as well, 25$ for 2 cocktails is reasonable. The Salted Egg Fries were very crispy but I thought there was too little salted egg sauce accompaniment with so many fries. Next, we have the mid, the Coffee Hazelnut Wings I had really high hopes for but they were just very mid tasting wings, sweet with a very very slight coffee flavour, decently tender and cooked well but nothing special at all. The Chilli Crab Pasta was also nothing special, I thought the chilli crab sauce was not thick enough and the pasta was not al dente but the whole soft shell crab served with it was delicious. Lastly, we have the bad, the Bak Kwa pizza was BAD. It tasted like pork floss buns from local bakeries, did not taste like pizza at all. It was also very droopy and the flavours were not meant to be on a pizza in my opinion. The crust was also not crispy enough, too soft, making it taste even more like cheap pork floss buns from a local bakery. All that for about $60++ per person will be a decent price tag IF the food was good but alas, it wasn’t, maybe the other dishes were better, but with their name being “Heritage Bar” one would think their best dishes would probably be their Singapore-fusion ones. All in all, I would say the food was mid to bad, drinks were okay, service was good and atmosphere was great. Probably would not be returning though.

A beautiful place nestled in Telok Belangah hills, serving great food and drinks. The restaurant is surrounded by lush greenery on all sides, making a perfect place to chill out any time of the day. Ordered the Har Jeong chicken burger and the grilled angus steak for dinner. The burger buns were really soft and the fried chicken was really juicy with crispy skin. It was one of the nicest chicken burger that I had ever eaten in a long time. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly as well. Dessert was really something special, soy milk panna cotta aka Atas Tau Huey. They do have live band, which really livens up the atmosphere. Service was impeccable too.

Very impressed by the food, service and overall vibes. Juliana was our service staff for the night and she was very friendly and helpful. We were there to celebrate my dad’s bday and the live band sang a birthday song to him - we loved it. Must try dishes are the satay and ribs (that came w fries and corn) - they were *chef’s kiss*! This place is dog-friendly too so definitely a plus for me. My family had a very enjoyable experience and we will be back.

Great place to host a small gathering or birthday party! Our group had about 12 people and it was perfectly cosy on a Friday night. Food and service was amazing, 10/10. Thank you for making our night so enjoyable!!

Really good ambience. Server Anil was attentive, took our orders promptly, and refilled our glasses without asking. Had a question about the alcoholic content in the drink and though he was not sure, he made an effort to check with the kitchen before getting back to us. Had a pleasant time with good food. Ordered Spanish omelette, ham croquette, impossible meatballs, SG sling, mocktail and churros.

First time visiting this icon historic mansion cum restaurant. Spanish tapas bar with outdoor alfresco dining. Ambience and service is great. Food is tasty and mostly grilled food with cocktails. Only downside is the mildly wet chairs after the rain which makes the experience not fully enjoyed.

Lovely al fresco dining with excellent service. The grilled spicy baby chicken was juicy and tender, and the grilled seabass fillet was fresh and flavourful. The place provides a romantic vibe that couples can enjoy on their date nights out. Also, thank you for on the house burnt cheesecake. Will return to check out other dishes and drinks.

I am amazed how many restaurants there is in the Alkaff mansion. Not the first time I have been here; and I like the closeness to nature and the fact it’s actually just 15 mins leisurely walk away from the closest bus stop (don’t believe if its says its less than 10) Sit outside if the weather is not too hot and windy. On certain nights they have the BBQ option - we tasted a few BBQ dishes from the menu and it was pretty decent. If you have a group of friends, my tip is to get a few starters/ appetizers, get a few BBQ dishes and share them all. The beef angus steak is pretty good, the grilled peppers were my favorite and the grilled octopus was pretty fantastic! For the drinks, beside the beer - the Mexican-type sangria (sorry I forgot the name) is my favorite. Price is a bit on the high side - the grilled vegetable is quite a small portion with main dish prices.

Had a fantastic time yesterday with the great thoughtful service of TXA, especially Ram, We ate for 4 hours in the delightful quaint setting with a bottle of wine to share. I am glad to spend my friend's birthday at Txa on a balmy Thursday. Great!

Had an anniversary dinner reservation on a Tuesday night @ 7pm, was served by Lu Fei, who was a wonderful and delightful host for our dinner. He very warmly welcomed us, patiently introduced to us to dishes and the history of the cocktails ($20 & $22) that we’ve ordered, and also followed up with us after the meal. I ordered soft shell Chili crab pasta ($29) and Angus steak ($32). Crab was very flavorful, umami, and crispy; there was a generous amount of crab meat in the sauce. It also had the spicy kick that I enjoyed. The angus steak? Not so much. Overall flavor was ok but the meat was slightly tough. Didn’t enjoy it at all. Initially I wondered what the fuss was about from other reviews about the service, and boy did they live up to expectations. Would prolly not patronize again, if not for Lu Fei. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable.

Live Band, friendly staff 100% recommend for date nights! We were just talking about totally returning to the restaurant and overheard the couple next table confirming their dinner reservation for the next day! Portions are generous, food taste on point. We had their so called umami cocktail though, it was quite strong instead of sour as described by the staff.

We really enjoy this place. Always quiet and has such a nice atmosphere. Service isn’t amazing but it’s ok. Drinks are good and food is pretty good too. This is a good place to start the night or somewhere to go to on an unplanned evening out. We’ve been 2x and always go to the gastro bar but hope to make it the upstairs restaurant next time.

Food, atmosphere and service was top notch. Was pouring heavily and stuck at the roadside under a parasol, then came a waitress who carried umbrellas down the stairs to pass it to us. Chicken wings was crisp, steak was tender and the truffle brie pizza was flavorful. Would recommend the truffle pizza over the burrata pizza as the latter didt taste out of the ordinary. Portion given was more than enough too. Ambiance was great and service was very attentive, did not even need to ask for a refill of water as the waiters and waitresses are faster than me. Will definitely be back here again.

First of all, the good points. Nice ambience. Friendly staffs. Nice desserts (burnt cheese cake). Point of not having more stars. Food is disappointing. Not sure if it’s because of “mass produce” since this is restaurant week menu, the pintxos aren’t fresh. Breads taste stale. Beef is “hard to bite”. And the waiters while friendly, are unattentive. Eg bringing in the birthday cake while half of the table went to washroom, and unable to answer simple questions on the drinks. I think the servers are just overwhelmed. There are lots of room for improvement both food and service wise. Sadly for now, I don’t think I’ll recommend my friends nor revisit anytime soon.

Went here for the Saturday live music and ended up with a private concert for me and my wife for the band's last set. Had a great time as the food, service, ambience and music were all top notch. Had the best experience today at 1918 Heritage Bar! Visited for a family birthday celebration and we had THE BEST service by Don. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five star service all around, really great cocktails and served with a smile! The food must eats are; ✅ Angus Steak ✅ Chilli crab Kueh pie tee ✅ Pork bao ✅ Roasted cauliflower ✅ glazed pork ribs Also for the quality of the food, the price was very good value for money. Highly recommend for large groups & family gatherings!

We enjoyed the service and venue very much. We had the curly fries and calamari to start both were excellent. We both had the Angus steak, unfortunately they were very different experiences, so not consistent. 1st steak was not hot and to salty for our taste 2nd steak was great, hot and not to salty compared to the first steak. Please note we hoth enjoyed the experience and will come back. We want to provide useful feedback to help improve your restaurant and of course everyone's taste is different so this is just my personal opinion.

The Alkaff Mansion is a really nice place to chill out especially when there is no rain. The food at 1918 Heritage Bar was good. We had the pulled pork pizza, curly fries and Har Jeong burger (a tad bit too salty for me). The indoor seating of the bar is a bit cold but the service staff Raj was nice enough to let us seat at a nice place that is not too cold. After the meal, we told Raj that it was the first time we were at the Alkaff Mansion and he showed us around and even explained some of the history of the place to us. Thank you for going the extra mile and the wonderful experience! Your company is lucky to have you. The place has nice and chill vibes, but isn’t really accessible if you don’t drive. Even with driving, climbing up the flight of stairs would require a great amount of effort for elderlies. This would be a place of consideration for events if there were lifts for elderlies.

In general, the food here is decent. However, the honey pork rib can be improved as it was too heavily flavored. The rib is also a bit dry. Nevertheless, Raj and Lu Fei are very friendly. They treated us a free slice of carrot cake as we went there for a birthday celebration! Thumbs up for the service! Atmosphere wise, the ambience is peaceful and retro but the aircond was way too cold. Please bring along a jacket if you want to stay for more than an hor.

Our group of 9 celebrated 2 birthdays at TXA on a Saturday evening, and had the most wonderful time there. Loved the outdoor ambience; loved the attentive service; loved that there was a live band who performed excellently. We probably order 75% of the items on the food menu and all of them were good, no complaints at all food-wise. They have 1-for-1 (like-for-like) corkage policy, which I made use of to open a top drop. TXA gave us a complimentary piece of cheesecake for the celebration, with the live band singing the birthday song. It was a unforgettable evening. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a semi-casual and really fun celebration.

She was exceptionally attentive to the needs of our table since we had toddlers with us and even took the initiative to get the band sing a birthday song for our birthday boy. Kudos to her service. Lovely alfresco setting with friendly, helpful service. They even provide extra table top light for those who need reading light for menu. We had sauteed mushroom with sous vide egg (recommended!), grilled padron peppers & paprika chicken wings. The happy hour drinks at 2 for 1 was a good deal. The burnt cheesecake was good though it was more of a soft cotton texture rather than gooey center. Churros was crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Mains were all good value below $30. Overall, very pleasant outdoors, with big fan and distance from other tables. Will visit again.

My boyfriend suggested this place for my birthday celebration and it was so lovely!! It was really quiet and empty (as it was a weekday) so we nearly had the whole place to ourselves. The service especially was excellent - special thanks to Geri who was really enthusiastic and helpful. 2nd time at The Alkaff Mansion, but 1st time being here at night (TXA). Food was great. Thankful for the great weather and sitting outdoors was so chill and ambiance was lovely. Went there to celebrate my father's birthday and staff prepared a slice of yummy red velvet cake that had a surprising peanut butter twist! The sparkling wine was great too, highly recommend it. My family had so much fun. Thank you, Ram, for the service! And also the other young Indian gentleman who was so conscientious about keeping our waters filled. We went on 12 Mar. Had dinner with friends today and it was a wonderful experience. Service was good, very prompt and good recommendations from the staff. We really enjoyed the food and the live band too. We hiked here to have dinner from Kent Ridge Park. The ambience is really great with nice music. The staffs are friendly and attempted to our needs readily. We were thrilled that happy hours is till 9pm Monday to Thursday. We ordered the monthly special Spanish omelette, 2 mains - Vongole pasta & Grill octopus, Burnt cheese cake and drinks. We are satisfied with all our orders and plan to patronise again with more people next week.

It's been a long time since I discovered a new good restaurant. TXA Pintxo Bar, a detached Spanish restaurant by 1 Altitude's 1 Group. Even the 55++ course has enough quantity and satisfaction. More than what I expected. Bottles of wine start at $55++. Although the location is inconvenient, the atmosphere is good and I recommend it. My favorite is the balcony seat facing outside. A restaurant that can be used for various occasions.
