Reviews of ATLAS
Afternoon tea at Atlas is amazing. From the beautiful art deco style, to the wonderful service and the delicious afternoon tea, dining at Atlas is a must when visiting Singapore. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed and looked after. The architecture reflects the 1920s style adding to the great ambience of the place. Complimentary cocktails or mocktails were given as well as your choice of two teas. The savoury and sweet selections were both delicious and filling. At $69.00, this afternoon tea is affordable. I highly recommend Atlas for its great vibe, hospitality and food.
Best espresso martini I’ve ever had and I do get it frequently. Also the best customer service I’ve experienced during my Singapore trip. Beautiful interior. Really enjoyed it.
I love their cocktail, the Enfleurage! It was so balanced and pleasantly bitter, floral and citrus at the same time. It's hard to describe, you have to try it. My husband preferred it too. We drank it till the last drop.
Atlas French 75 was pretty good too but too citrusy for us. Tiramisu was alright, tasted surprisingly non alcoholic for the tiramisu of a bar, not the best I've tasted but passable.
Service was amazing. Every server was attentive and professional. Very unlike the lousy service standards that is common in Singapore.
Ambience is excellent, very prim and posh place. The ceilings are ridiculously high, the entire bar is so vast and majestic. Music playing in the background was weird though (80s love ballads) and can be improved. Some bossa nova, jazz, or something quirky would be more interesting and less drab.
Place is pricey as expected, it's really a premium place but it is worth it. There are many places in Singapore when you spend as much but get much less quality of drinks and service.
We made a reservation for Friday 1pm and the place wasn't packed. We were assigned nice sofa seats meant for 4 pax even though there was only 2 of us.
Come here for drinks, it will become your best bar experience.
Love it here. Nice drinks, snacks, and well decorated. Advance reservation is a must.
Ordered a very, very dry martini. One person took the order, another made it, another delivered it. Very strange.
It wasn't dry at all, upon arrival. I asked them to taste it, and they told me they didn't drink! How can you quality check a drink if you don't taste it?
A manager came over, and told me they didn't use vermouth in their dry martini's, so it must have been dry. Surely that's just a glass of vodka? (which I have no problem with, but this wasn't the case). Again, refused to try the drink.
I drink Martini a lot, and could definitely taste the vermouth as a primary flavour, so someone wasn't being honest.
They argued, which I dislike. It wasn't a good drink, and for the money, I expect a nice martini.
A new one was made after a bit of fuss, and that was nicer, but not half as good as at Republic or the MO bar in the days before attending Atlas.
As a second drink, I ordered a Bloody Mary and that was much nicer. I think they can only do the standard cocktails well, but anything slightly out of the norm that deviates from their normal instructions is a problem.
Beautiful fit out and worth a visit to see the interior. Atmosphere was great too, nice place to visit. Drinks, not so much. Better elsewhere.
I wouldn't return based on this experience, and the lack of drinks quality checking. There are too many nice bars in Singapore to tolerate this.
Food is good and service is very nice :) good photo taking bar. Need to book in advance. Overall vibes is chill and not too crowded and loud.
Steak is yummy! order medium maybe medium rare is better.
Dessert Paviova looks good and tastes delicious, it’s not too sweet, the fruit can balance the sweet.
Drinks
Atlas Gimlet: fresh and lemon, not bitter (like this more)
Altas Martini: it’s a bit strong
Atlas French: champagne base tastes sweet not too sweet
Love it!will come again!
Total around 150SGD
I had the best time.
I could to learn about history and anything about gin in this bar from a staff. He was brilliant.
They have special menu books about ATLAS and gin, we can read it.
Actually I visited here for having afternoon tea and it was also super excellent!
The risotto was the only memorable thing that we ordered. The rest was ok but somehow expected more from this place. It was also hella cold dining in here.
Top notch for service. Staff made the effort to explain everything in detail and were attentive. We were given a complimentary glass of gin when we reached. Nice atmosphere... good for Instagram shots. Food portions are smaller than the usual high tea sets that we have had in other restaurants. We did not enjoy the savoury or sweets as much as we thought we would. The items sounded fancy but tasted mediocre at best. High tea set comes with 2 types of tea of your choice. Teas were good.
Beautiful building and beautiful bar. But odd thing, I had a stopover in Singapore between Brussels and the Philippines, while there I went to visit Atlas as a recommendation from a friend that lives in the city. First try to get in, I couldn't because there was an event. Next day I tried to go there only to discover there is a dress code for men after 05. Ok I was wearing shorts so I understood and left. On my way back from the Philippines I decided to try a third time before 05 so no dress code applies... The person says there is no table and I need to wait. I explain I have a flight later on... And I point at empty tables... Reply. Sorry sir. In the end I managed to see the building and the bar, 3 times for free... It's indeed beautiful. will I try a fourth time when I make another stopover in Singapore... Nope.
If you plan on going expensive and fancy once in your cheap food tour of Singapore this is the place.
Set in the lobby of beautiful faux art-deco style building the restaurant oozes with Gatsby-esque charm. You are transported to a movie set in the 1920s New York.
Despite the lavish trappings the food was reasonably priced and very good. If you don’t pair it with a fancy drink, mains can be had around 20-30 SGD. I would pay double in an establishment such as this.
We went for lunch and they allowed children and gave us high chairs. At one point our daughter and friend were running around and lying on the floor and the staff did a good job to not be annoyed. Bless them. I won’t say it’s a family friendly restaurant but they did a great job of accomodating us, amongst the couples and instagram tourists.
The ambience is very nice, we tried 4 cocktails, the espresso martini was delicious, so smooth tasted like a tiramisu. Service by the barman with the curled moustache was great, he was very friendly & patient. Dress code after 5pm so go earlier if you want casual attire
Okay vibe. Turned up well presented in chinos and white sneakers and the male host gave the look up and down… not really felt that comfortable…. Bar service was attentive for my needs although even if I was sat behind the coffee machine with plenty of other bar spots open. Old fashioned and cheeseboard. Just a casual visit and kinda missed the spot for me.
This place is like right out of Gotham City. The detail of this bar is incredible and it is absolutely worth a visit. The best indoor bar I have ever been to without a doubt.
Second time here.
Loved the cocktails which were unforgettable the first time round- I came here w the same order. But sadly they did not have the chocolate garnish which was what completed the drink
Burrata was delish and peas were done well.
The pumpkin risotto was moreish as well.
Prawn spaghetti flavours were good and bright.
BBQ octopus was yummy and not rubbery at all.
Spiced cauliflower was not too overpowering as I feared and is a good choice for a bar bite.
You also can't go wrong w truffle butter and rustic bread.
I took my friend to Atlas to celebrate her birthday. I made a reservation a month in advance. The food and drinks were decent but could be improved. However, the ambiance and service were excellent, it had a European vibe and was very Instagrammable.
Can’t rate the food since i only had drinks at the bar. Their singapore sling was fantastic! Better and 14 singa dollars cheaper than the singapore sling at long bar in raffles hotel. Service was amazing! Love the interior and decor. Great experience! Thank you
We tried to make a reservation one month in advance but there was nothing available, yet the great staff found a table for us on the spot when I explained it was our last night in Singapore. Kudos also to the new GM who spent some time chatting with us and explaining a bit the history of the place.
Fantastic environment from the building to the bar itself. Although it's well known for the drinks, the food was also excellent. Don't leave Singapore without visiting Atlas!
Bucket List Dine In, Art Deco at it's finest. This building and interior is just breath taking.
We had an amazing high noon tea which involved unlimited cocktails for 2.5hrs. Excellent service, food, atmosphere and photo opportunities.
Must do
Valentine’s Day won’t go wrong if you were here. Atlas always make my days and dates. Best service, great drinks and wonderful atmosphere of all time.
Inventive and well-executed cocktails in a beautiful room. The bartenders were also friendly and helpful in making a selection from their extensive cocktail menu. The cocktails are a bit pricey but worth it.
This cocktail bar is simply breathtaking. The building, the decoration, the atmosphere even the furniture are from another world. The cocktails are also very tasty and well made and the staff very attending. I believe this is one of the musts if you are in Singapore! Cocktails are a bit pricy but worths it!
I would love to give this place 5 starts but it’s really expensive and it’s super complicated to get in but best espresso martinis EVER!
Cocktail bar review: If you want to go for afternoon drinks go before 5 so that you don’t have to deal with the dress code. After 5pm it’s pretty strict (no shorts, sandals, tennis shoes) and almost impossible to get in. You can make reservations online but they are always full so best to just walk in and prepare to wait 30min. If you are able to get in or make a reservation please make sure to order an espresso martini. They have really nice small plates that are well prepared. The drinks are pretty expensive, $20-30/ea so prepare the pocketbook.
Sunday’s at Atlas: We love going for Sundays at Atlas but I will admit the cost for the price is not value add. The menu is basically a nice meat & cheese board with gin bar and some specialty drinks (select drinks, but beware if ordering off menu that is separate cost). The charcuterie board has very good quality items and you can get whatever item refilled as many times as you want. They have a gluten free bread option too but pre-order if you can. The downside is that there is no wine included in the price and the times can be a bit awkward (5pm). Nice place to go for special outing but not so practical for regular Sunday brunch unless you have a lot of money to spare.
Overall, I love this place but always have to prepare myself for the price:value. The inside decor is quite spectacular and all of the guns available will keep you going for a long time. We keep coming back for the espresso martinis which I can stress enough are THE BEST EVER!
Quality service, fantastic cocktails, great food and a Super date night ambience.
What more can I say. Even though the price is a little on a high end.
4 drinks, 3 mains and 1 side is around $250. But definitely worth every single penny.
Frequent visitor to this amazing bar.
Great cocktails, mesmerising interior decor, and good service. Atlas has it all. Though this more of a gin gin focussed, my favourite cocktail here is the whiskey based Crimson Pipe. A couple of their Martini drinks were also muy bien.
A 100% recommendation
Absolutely gorgeous ambiance under the high, classically-decorated ceiling and wall. All the servers are proper and friendly, drinks and foods are awesome as well. A must visit in Singapore.
Expecting to be wowed by everything but I guess I am only in awe with the gothic design, the architecture, the ambience of this place.
I am impressed with the tall tower which is a gin library.
Among all our drink orders, I like the French 75. The rest of our order of drinks were pretty norm.
Among the food, the mushroom on toast is something I would order again.
Cannot talk this place up enough. First, the building will blow your mind… the most gorgeous thing u will ever see in your LIFE! The attention to detail is exceptional. Second! The service was just as good as the venue itself, was served by don who made me feel so comfortable and looked after me (I’m travelling alone), and suggested some delicious cocktails and food! Thankyou atlas! I look forward to visiting again !!!!! Hopefully very soon
Let's get this out of the way, please dress up (a shirt + pants combo with shoes will definitely get you in). It's the type of place where you don't want to hang around in singlets and slippers either.
We went for their afternoon high tea, service was impeccable, and the choice of tea (while not as numerous as TWG) tasted great. The salty and savoury deserts / treats were all individually amazing and I found the entire menu to be worthwhile.
But more than that, it's the sense of space between tables (not being eavesdropped upon unless you're shouting) and the ceiling makes it a Wow experience. Just remember to make a reservation in advance.
Grand NYC style room and beautifully crafted drinks with impeccable service. We were able to snag a table as a walk in and had a lovely time.
Highly recommend the Diamond Lynd cocktail from the Martini section. Great place with Gatsby vibes! You do have to book very early in advance to get a place on the weekend..
Went for lunch on weekdays. The place is not too crowded.
Ordered a couple of starters to share. Belgian pomme frites and spicy fried cauliflower. Both were okay. Cauliflower batter quite salty.
For main we had the smoked pork loin and pan-roasted Chilean sea bass. Smoked pork loin was pretty good and paired well with mustard mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and green apple. Pan-roasted sea bass was the winner. All of us agreed that the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Crispy skin and fish texture was almost like cod/scallop. Big cut of fish served with lemon buerre blanc, roasted pumpkin and brussel sprouts 👍
For desserts, we had the black forest pannacotta and pineapple granita coconut sorbet. Pannacotta was okay but the pineapple sorbet was really good. Great flavour combi and very refreshing.
Didnt expect the food to be so good here. What a pleasant surprise. :)
Super cool place for a cocktail! We walked in around 11:45PM on a Friday night and only had to wait a few minutes for a table (for 2 people). The drinks are on the more expensive side but tasty and worth going for a drink or two for the unique ambiance.
If you're ever in Singapore, be sure to reserve a spot here for drinks. The drinks, atmosphere and service is second to none. If you are a fan of Art Deco, then you'll be impressed. Makes me think of Ann Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged.
Definitely one of my favourite bars in Singapore. Ambiance, service and quality of cocktails is great! Just remember to dress appropriately if you decide to visit and expect to wait if you have not made reservations.
Grandest gin bar I've been to. Most of the cocktails came in around 25 dollars.
Best to reserve early.
Enjoyed our time here a lot! Cocktails were nice, food was good. The chocolate caramel tart was amazing, we just wanted something sweet but this turn out to be our favourite! Environment was really chill, and of course the interior was “WOW”. Would defo be back to try their Afternoon Tea menu
We all know Atlas is one of the top 50 bars in the world. I visited for the third time and for the first time in the pandemic, must say their ambience is as usual great. Cocktails have been phenomenal. I had my best ever Martini here! The staff accommodated our request to stay for few more hours as there were bar seats available post our 2 hours booking period. I enjoyed more at the bar seat, where I got to learn a thing or two about cocktails. They made cocktails on request off the menu. I absolutely love this place.
Such an amazing place! The decor was very impressive, especially the gin tower. Fabulous cocktails - we had Ravenscroft remedy. For dinner we had the Jerusalem artichoke risotto ( so amazing) and the prawn spaghetti. Service was great and friendly staff. We’ve been to many places across the world and this was the best! Overall sensory experience.
Amazing ambience, huge collection of gin (we're talking over a thousand), and great service. Staff were impeccably dressed, and would describe each part of the dish to you. Pricey dining, with main courses at $30-40+ and cocktails at $20+, but the place is really stunningly designed.
The interior design continues the Art Deco style of the building. The magnificent three-story space is covered with Beam and pillar carving and Totem mural. Very spectacular and luxurious. As if you are in a European palace. The staple food is Pan roasted Chilean sea bass, Lemon beurre Blanc, roasted pumpkins, sprouts $40; 200g black Angus sirloin steak fries- smoke bone marrow butter, fries $42
Dessert is Pineapple Granita.
The food is on average, not amazing but not thunderous. The desserts are very delicious, highly recommended.
This place is a good place for drinking, taking photos and dating.
Had the most perfect date with my partner here. Everything was excellent - the staff, service, drinks, meals, and ambience. The toilet fell short compared to everything else but it did not bother me much. We literally could not believe how seamless everything was and felt very well taken care of.
However, as we were approaching the end of our meal, I started feeling a little nauseous. It got worse in the next 10 minutes so I went out to get some air. By the time I got home 15 minutes later, I had to run to the restroom and had a bad case of stomach upset. Chills, nausea, cramps, and I couldn’t leave the restroom for the next hour.
My partner was totally fine and tried everything I had at the restaurant except for the mocktail and sea bass I ordered. Our assumption is that the fish may have been a tad undercooked or there was some kind of cross-contamination.
While this is still a night to remember and everything else went absolutely perfectly, it is unfortunate that it ended on a less than positive note!
Loved the ambience of the place. My family had an amazing experience here with great drinks and attentive staff members. Drinks were interestingly crafted, food was alright, dessert was amazing.
One of my favorites in Singapore. You will be overwhelmed the first time (do search it's story if you're. Truly inspiring). Cocktail is from $23 which is pretty good consider it's elegant vibe. We always have good time at Atlas.
I absolutely love it here!
It's my favourite spot in Singapore!
A must stop every time I am in the city.
I love the ambiente, elegant and sophisticated.
Drink selection is good, nice gin choice's.
Food was also great!
Made a reservation for "Sundays at ATLAS" which is a cocktail buffet that comes with a free flow of breads, a variety of cheeses, cold cuts and some desserts.
There are however only several cocktails + Gin and Tonic options included, along with one option each for beer, white wine, red wine and rosé (if I remember correctly).
Had 6 cocktails over the course of 2.5 hours, the final one I had (Espresso Martini) was my favorite.
All in all, had a great time out with friends. Lovely, stunning, Instagram-worthy interiors. Service was attentive too.
Entering Atlas is nearly overwhelming. It's incredible how big and open the space is, and their attention to detail to make the place feel chic and hip is unprecedented. The menu feels very retro, which adds to the experience. The themed drinks are tasty and interesting, and they're surprisingly affordable given the auspicious nature of the building -this isn't to say they're cheap, they're just not the higher price point I was expecting. I'll definitely go back. The only reason 4 instead of 5 stars is because the service seemed pretty slow (though they're very friendly) and the food portions for the price seemed off.
This place is absolutely breathtaking - a must visit in SG! As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the grand interior. We were unable to make a reservation as they were fully booked up, but limited walk-ins were available so we tested our luck and got in after a half an hour wait. We were seated at the bar so it was fun watching the bartenders make the drinks. We initially wanted to order the Gin Tower Experience but were explained we would need to inform them ahead of time during reservation so they could ensure they had proper stock of everything. We instead ordered “An Atlas Suite,” which were three petite martinis. Each of them were so smooth and delicious! We ordered a few appetizers to share which were good but not as mind blowing as the drinks.
Note: There is a dress code of Casual Chic. No shorts or sandals/sliders/flipflop.
Amazing ambience, great food and cocktails, terrific service! A must-do while in Singapore
ATLAS is my favourite bar in Singapore. Surrounded by beautiful art deco architecture and ambience, a night out here is one you wouldn't forget. Service is prompt and the drinks/food are good. The beef steak, cauliflower and pork ribs are delicious.
We walked past here one day by accident and what a find! The beautiful art deco design caught our eye, but it's the wonderful service and amazing gin selection that got us to stay. It was hard to make a booking at the last minute so we ended up making a reservation for drinks at 10.30pm on a Tuesday night. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and the staff entertained our request for a look at the gin tower since it wasn't a busy weekend night. All our drinks were great but the Koffie & Tonic was a real standout! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are glad to have made it to Atlas during our stay in Singapore.
I'm still dreaming about the surreal experience I had at this Art Deco styled bar in May 2017 housed in a often forgotten grand building located at city centre. Us local love to call the building "Gotham city" because of the resemblance to the comic book iconic building. In actual fact, it is a privately owned building by wealthy art enthusiasts who often have private art viewings.
Ambience wise it scored perfectly for a classy high ceiling bar with plush seats for intimate dates. Ceilings are painted to the theme and you will feel like you were transported to one of Europe's vintage buildings.
Gin is a speciality here, and they have over 1,000 bottles and varieties of Gin. They are all priced between$22-$25, and the fun part is you can request to head up to the Gin tower and choose any bottle you like for a shot with your preferred mixer (we recommend elderflower). They also serve interesting cocktails with flavours suitable for males and females.
They serve bite sized food as well which are served hot and tastes great. Service is prompt and polite, though the door lady did give my friend a cold full body judging look as if to critique her party wear. I felt we were dressed appropriately for the occasion though. We waited for about ten mins before getting a seat as the bar is full.
If you could give 7 stars, this would qualify. Truly, this is a must-do experience in Singapore. The decor and ambience is unique, something out of a Batman filmset; the drinks list is an artwork itself, and the bartenders make every creation a delight; and the service was attentive and outstanding. Somewhat unexpected in the bar/lounge setting, the fish main course was surprisingly delicious, worthy of a restaurant. We went on a Tuesday evening, at 6pm, so it was pleasantly busy while not being overcrowded or overwhelming. Will come back.
The most opulent yet elegant place for cocktails, high tea and coffee (they use Liberty Coffee!!) in Singapore. This is a fave place of ours to bring friends visiting from abroad. There is a gin tower, for goodness sake. My hubby always orders the Old Fashioned cos they've let him choose different types of bourbon for the cocktail. I feel Atlas offers great value because the level of service is tremendous and the ambience is world class.
Good drinks beautiful environment
A quiet and decent place to chat
Coffee and tea here is not expensive
Sumptuous surroundings - indifferent staff: I really wanted to love atlas, from it's amazing art deco facade to its jazzy interior - atlas certainly is a place to take your out of town friends. However this visit was marred by indifferent staff who were "fine" and gave the bar a distinct "hotel lobby" bar vibe. If they need to understand what service means, look no further than local favourite Native.
You can feel the luxury from the moment you enter. I went without a reservation and sat at the bar, which was nice too. The cocktails were very good and the food was relatively very good. It actually tastes better than the Raffles Bar Singapore Sling. The atmosphere is so luxurious. If you go to Singapore, it's worth a visit at least once.
I made a reservation for lunch and went there, but the food, atmosphere, and friendliness of the staff were good, so I ate more than I expected. When I visited, there was a Korean staff member who gave me a lot of cocktail recommendations and I was satisfied.
I had high expectations when I visited this place because it was listed as one of the top 100 bars in the world, but it exceeded my expectations🤍 I definitely want to visit again if I go to Singapore.
I saw it online and wanted to go, so I visited.
When I asked if I could come in without a reservation from 12:00 noon, I was told that it would be OK if I had a one-and-a-half hour time limit (because afternoon tea, which requires a reservation after lunch, is popular). paintings and reliefs. I was really happy to see the interior that matched the atmosphere, and the main gin tower to be spectacular.
Most of the customers seemed to be wealthy and relaxed, so I was able to relax. (An old man was wandering around with a cup of coffee and taking pictures lol)
I also wanted to preserve the atmosphere, so I shot a video.
The food is quite expensive, but everything I ate was delicious and I would like to go there next time I'm in Singapore.
I really couldn't believe that this bar was on the first floor of an office building.
The server who speaks Korean well is very gentle and cool! If you are Korean...look for him first. It's awesome.
I went with 3 women, and they recommended cocktails, and all of the recommended cocktails were successful! Even though I don't like alcohol, I enjoyed it.
We made a reservation for dinner, and the seats we were given were very nice. And the food was all delicious, so we devoured it.
When I come back to Singapore in the future, I want to come again. For now, I can take the photo of my life here^0^
I happened to come here during Christmas. It’s very beautiful and has a great atmosphere. It’s said to be the store with the most gin products in Asia. It’s really better to see it than to see it. The whole high-ceilinged wine wall is very beautiful and spectacular!
I was the first customer to come in today without a reservation. Although I only ordered a glass of mojito, the waiter still gave me the best seat in the bar. Thank you, the service attitude is very good and customer-oriented.
Although it is said to have over a thousand types of gin among Asia's top 50 bars, it has a blind spot.
This is because you have to climb the ladder and do a special event to choose from a thousand Jins. Still, there are many great gin-based cocktails, and the three-piece martini set is also great.
Although there were a lot of customers, the waiters served us perfectly. I would really like to ask one favor of this great bar and space that exudes the feel of 1970s New York... background music.
Please play jazz ㅠㅠ
The food is delicious and delicious, and the atmosphere is great. It’s worth booking and waiting in advance.
Because we made a reservation before departure, we didn’t get afternoon tea.
It is recommended to make a reservation one month before departure
The signature appetizer must be burrata chees with fish and tomatoes.
Rissatto that can be made for vegetarians
One of the top 100 bars in the world and one of the top 50 bars in Asia
Sophisticated, luxurious and extravagant
The space itself, worth being in it. Nicely done, opulent, loud and big statement. Love it.
The staff was friendly, professional and attentive.
