Reviews of 183 Coffeeshop @ Toa Payoh
Rojak - extremely flavourful compared to the famous nearby Soon Heng Rojak. Done in a well balanced manner. The fruits and vegetables are sliced thicker compared to other rojak stalls. Pricing @ $4/5 as compared to $6/7 in nearby Soon Heng. If you have tasted this uncle’s Rojak, you will agree that this stall is making the real traditional rojak.
The fish soup noodles is delicious and value for money. The fried egg adds flavour to the fish soup. The fish is thick and juicy. Come and try!
This claypot fish porridge is totally tasty. It is not gimmicky, the fish tastes fresh and sweet, and the porridge is properly cooked before serving unlike many others that simply dump the rice into the soup. Which accounts for the not-so-pretty cloudy look. It reminds me of the famous Haig market fish porridge where the uncle cooks each bowl of porridge. It is one of the better fish porridge that I have tried.
Cai Fan stall, be cautious of the price when you order. Wasn’t really transparent with pricing, charged a dollar more for mixed vegetables with cauliflower and broccoli. Could have been more explicit when customers order.
Good location Kopitiam for great lor mee & dimsum break. Next to Toapayoh library.
Cai fan stall food quality varies a lot by day, there were times where it was very delicious but today when I ordered during dinner time there were very few choices and it didn't taste nice at all.
Lor mee here is great. Dim sum and caifun available at affordable prices!
