Reviews of Apollo Coffee Bar
Chances upon this when walking by and decided to go in for a dessert and drink had the earl grey tea with foam which was really quite nice and the cold chocolate as for dessert I went with the raspberry tart which was really nicely made with a homemade crust and the brownie was served hot which was good. They do have other food stuffs as well and wines overall not too bad staff were quite prompt and friendly.
Had a mocha there after lunch. The place was still crowded around 3+. I remember dining here years ago. Would come back for their brunch!

This was a massive meat monster with mad visuals and we knew we had to get it. A chicken sausage patty, spam slice, and steak were sandwiched between toasted focaccia and topped with a gooey emmental cheese and a fried egg, sitting in a pool of orange sauce. While this was visually stunning, the taste fell short once you look at the individual components. The sausage patty and spam tasted were underwhelming while the steak was thin, well-done and carried only a mild beefy flavour. We also couldnโt make out what the sauce was supposed to taste like, but yet it was necessary as it would be too dry without it. This was filling but pricey and we probably wouldnโt get this again.

The sample picture for this showed a bowl of creamy carbonara with a runny egg yolk in the center, covered by an tempting layer of shaved parm and it looked TOO GOOD not to order! Luckily we got this to share, because their sauce is made with cream and got surfeiting real fast. While it was delicious and they were generous with the bacon and shimeji, it would be difficult to finish this on your own. Not bad though!

Our friend had this and enjoyed this burger greatly, we stole some fries (which everyone agreed tasted exactly like macs curly fries) which were crispy and seasoned. The burger bun was fluffy and toasted and the patty was juicy. A classic burger that canโt go wrong.

Canโt remember how much this was but our friend that had it said it was โso goooooodโ & they seemed really generous with the toppings (esp the glistening nut butter)
Do make a reservation beforehand as Apollo gets extremely crowded on weekends. Food wise, it was typical cafe food and we werenโt super blown away. The servings were generous but we did find it kinda pricey :/

After a good meal, coffee is next on the menu. Also, it is a good place to chill, rest, and rejuvenate.
Steak and bones brodo (6/10)
- I love how tender their beef was
- the mushrooms really complimented the dish alot
- broth was quite bland :/
Dark chocolate ice cream with mini donuts (4/10)
- Dark chocolate ice cream itself was good
- Mini donuts texture was not soft and hard as a rock. I love how they offered me a new one, but I realise it was soft when given but after in contact with the ice cream, it gets really hard.
I feel they should serve the donuts separately to keep the soft texture.
Great spot for brunch! The menu is quite different from the typical cafe brunch in singapore, with some special items like the pear and bacon tartine (surprisingly great combi!) The waffle is so cripsy and paired so well with bacon and ice cream! Service was very prompt too. Canโt wait to visit again.

@apollocoffeebar
Visited the cafe for the first time and left disappointed with the overall experience. Despite the high price of $50 for a breakfast burger and carbonara, both dishes were very normal. The taste was mediocre, lacking the flavours I expected for the price paid. Even the taters were disappointingly bland. In comparison to other cafes and restaurants offering similar dishes at a fraction of the cost, Apollo has fall short. Unfortunately, I donโt think I will come back again.
Went for brunch on a Saturday noon, it gets real crowded so seats were not easy to get. We had Rosti, wagyu burger, carbonara and risotto. Coffee is great - I enjoyed my iced brightside americano.
Update: visited again on Janโ24, the menu refresh is amazing. Service is impeccable, highly recommended.
One of the cafes that I frequent, donโt really have the best beverages, but the food is always amazing. Thereโs more on the menu to try!
Simple cleanly decorated cafe. Ordered their wagyu cheeseburger which taste great. Their coffee however was a-little let down since i have heard so much rave about it. But their saving grace was the burnt brussel sprouts which was crunchy and soft but had a bitter burnt after-taste which may turn some people off. It is crowded both peak and off-peak hours so better to reserve a table to avoid disappointment. Overall, great tasting food but can be quite pricey.
Sorry, but dessert usually ranks quite high for me so I'm rating it a little low for non-fluffy and hard waffles. The beef was juicy but had a little bit of 'unchewables' which was fine since I know I'm picky, but I didn't like the sauce.
25 Dec
Had the breakfast burger and nori avocado. A bit on the pricey side, and smaller portions, but I think just nice unless you are really hungry.
Breakfast burger ๐ first thing u notice is the ooze of yummy cheese ๐ง under the nice bun. Eggs ๐ณ are nicely cooked with mushroom ๐ bacon ๐ฅ also. Tater tots are nice and crispy and tasted like they are freshly fried.
Avocado ๐ฅ nori- the fried kale ๐ฅฌ nice and crunchy. Avocado tasted fresh with the nori jam was nice also. I think the nori jam is the stuff u find in the JP supermarkets to put on the rice ๐
Would go again.
Their ePay system is responsive and quick. Staff is trained well and super attentive.
Staff were not as friendly and selective in greeting customers, Somehow they were able to greet other customers but could not seem to greet us. Were seen talking among themselves more than they were doing work. Whenever they were clearing the plates, had to make so much noise (not sure for whatever reason as if they were so reluctant to do their job) Seem like a bunch of students working at the counter, might need to learn manners. Overall, the food was alright, but customer service could be better.
Full house on a weekend afternoon. Best to reserve in advance. Prices are quite steep. Took away iced matcha latte ($8.10) instead - it tasted quite milky, matcha taste was lacking. Not sure if itโs worth the price tag.
Went back again and dined in - we reserved a table in advance. Sourdough was hard, would skip that next time. Their pastas were better. Mid wings were alright. Red velvet cake was dense and moist! Could be slightly less sweet. Nice of them to add a candle for a birthday celebration!
I ordered the breakfast burger and oat cold brew. The food selection seems too expensive for what it is. The food looks good but I donโt think itโs tastes super great for the price. I enjoyed the ambiance and good service though. I went on a weekday brunch time and it wasnโt very crowded.
Nice dishes and alright coffee. Happy to be able to get seats.
Apollo Coffee is my favourite place in Serangoon Gardens to get breakfast/brunch. They have good coffee options, some alcohol options and food. Iโve tired pancakes, waffles, toast with fried kale & Avo and Rosti with soft boiled eggs. I must admit that almost nothing was disappointing. The Rosti was too deep fried which I didnโt like, so almost!
The place usually has a small queue but itโs worth the wait, Iโd recommend this place.
Ambience - 3.5/5
Food & Drinks - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Desserts are of normal standards. Pancakes are little too sweet.
Wonderfully decorated cafe that serves delish soft serve ice cream and beautiful coffee. Music is not loud enough to disturb your conversation. Strongly recommended for a hangout with friends in the idyllic neighborhood of Serangoon Gardens.
The waffles with candied bacon and ice cream was soso, the waffles were over cooked and super crisp almost like a biscuit. Bacon was soggy and limp (had better ones at Clinton St)
The tiger prawn burger was also over cooked and dry and super tiny for $25. Coffee was average. Unlikely to return. The only upside is that there is not much waiting time despite it being quite busy as they have many seats
Good service n very clean. Food took a while to come when it wasn't very crowded but it wasn't a pain to wait coz the ambience was good. Thought the food was just very unique. All were above average but the chilli chicken drumsticks which weren't very nice! The salmon soba was the best! Pear ciabatta was very filling and unique. Beef brisket burger was OK, but fries portion should be bigger! Would come again to try desserts!
The back of the cafe is bathed in natural light and has a pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast burger was good; the strawberry pancakes were special โ the fresh strawberries and raspberry compote were a tangy complement to the sweet and fluffy pancakes. And the coffee was great too.
Favourite dish of the day would be the Pork and Pear Tartine - with roasted pears, bacon, onions and ricotta. The ciabatta was also baked perfectly and the flavours went well with each other. The Baba Gahanoush was also yummy and I especially loved the bread, though the spice of the eggplant was slightly too strong for my liking. Also had the Miso Bacon Mushroom Risotto which was nicely done. However, it's quite expensive ๐ but worth the visit if you like cafe food!!
Ordered the ragu pasta, steak and brussel sprouts. All of them were on point. One of the best pastas I've had, al dente and flavour evenly balanced and spread.
Not rush in morning hours. It was little crowded. Food was good. I ordered for a English style pancake. The syrup was too sweet. The prices are little high. Good for date. Not suitable for a large number of goods. Place is well maintained and clean. Parking is available outside. But in rush time, have to look for a space for parking.
Food was average. Chai and Coffee was average. Price on the steeper side with the average quality food hence minus 1 star. The avocado side was a little mild, had better ones at other places with similar price point.
There was a time when I visited here and ordered a breakfast platter, and I accidentally dropped the sausage. The staff noticed and out of courtesy gave me a new sausage. Itโs not a must to give me a new one but They did. I appreciate the gesture.
Been here a couple of times, food is good, drinks are standard, service is average, and the atmosphere is okay.
Been wanting to visit this cafe for the longest time. Itโs a sister branch with the space cafes. Had their coffee and enjoyed it a lot. Lovely space with free flow water and easy to navigate menu with photos online.
Would want to be back to try the food!
The food here is truly delicious! Came here twice within 3 days! I like the outdoor ambience more as it's less noisy. Coffee here is good! Staff is helpful and friendly too.
mediocre service, mediocre food. came on a sunday at around 2pm and waited for about half an hour. ordered the breakfast burger and the squid risotto (sorry! canโt remember what theyโre called exactly). both were really meh - we were struggling to finish our risotto despite the rave. drinks were pretty expensive so we didnโt get any! wouldnโt be back, sadly T_T
A very much welcomed addition to Serangoon Gardens especially after the shut down of a few brunch spots within the area recently. They have indoor, outdoor and even courtyard seating arrangements so you would not have to wait THAT long for a table if youโre in a small group. We ordered their Mushroom Bacon Carbonara, Chirizo and Octopus Risotto and Honey Tatertots. I generally feel Apollo is a very โsafeโ place with the right key ingredients for a decent brunch spot : bright lights and pastel colours interior, popular pasta, eggs, potatoes, salmon bowls choices, coffee backed up by Atlas and Lunar - ticked ticked and ticked. Itโs not bad really but itโs not anything special.
Food is of good quality though more more expensive than most cafe. Reasonable portion for each set. Coffee did not meet expectation. The mix of coffee with tonic water is not the best combi.
Food is super tasty, service had pretty ladies and atmosphere is super chill ๐๐
It is worth checking if you managed to past by!! Highly recommended ๐คฉ๐คฉ
Nice interior. We ordered the chorizo risotto and bacon carbonara. Nothing special. Egg on risotto was overcooked. I wouldnโt return for the mains but maybe for their coffee and pastries.
Lovely little spot in the Serangoon Gardens neighbourhood. They have a cosy indoor patio area in the back with plenty of natural light. Food and coffee were both decent with plenty of options - though a little pricey. It will easily set you back $30-$40 per pax after service charge and GST. Would stop by again for coffee if I happen to be in the area. Pictured: Wurst Rosti
Nice ambiance and quality food. Had the salmon soba, the flavour is complex and superb. Must try if you are fan of salmon. The lemon lime mint kabocha is not what I'll reorder but its healthy for guts. Fries were crispy. Saw the way the barista brew the coffee, its an art.
The burnt brussels sprouts are so, so good! Had the French toast which was good as well!!! I would definately come again as there are a lot more on the menu I want to try.
Second visit with the fam yesterday. Nice chill place although prices are on the high side.
We ordered the rosti, wagyu burger, chorizo avo, banana pancake and coffee. The highlight is the banana pancake. It's a 20min wait but it's worth it. It comes with a scoop of ice cream and cereal on the top with syrup on the side. We found that the pancake was sweet and yummy enough on its own so didn't need the syrup. The wagyu burger was yums but the portion was a bit small, and left us wanting more. the other two were good but nothing to shout about.
We'll def be back for the coffee and the banana pancake!
Ambience was good, will recommend the shoestring fries and butter croissant (flaky, buttery & soft)
Ordered lavender tea cake and smore brownies cake and I could say their desserts are generally on the sweeter side which was not to my liking. Cuppuccino tasted the usual, nothing exceptional and pricings were on the high side. Gave 3 stars for food and 1 more star for the ambience.
Missed trying out the miso soft serve the other time and tried the dark chocolate based on staffโa recommendation. Would say Iโm disappointed :-/ it wasnโt really rich or anything. Portion was huge though. $7.5 for that
Nori avo toast was unique but not worth another try. You can order one if youโre coming in big group. Unique taste!
Ok place to hang out for a brunch but the choice of dishes is not very exhaustive. Limited choice in my opinion for a brunch place. Quite pricey as well. For a tea 9$. For an avocado toast and egg 20$. The food is ok but not extraordinary.
Yummy food. Tried and recommend the below:
1) Cakes cheesecake + Nutella red velvet
2) Salmon Soba Bowl
3) Banana pancakes
4) Aรงai bowl
Great location, great atmosphere, great food! It's one out of the four cafes under the Atlas Coffee House group.
Would highly recommend!
Really love the vibe of this cafรฉ, went there after lunch to have some drinks. Their Milk Way and cold-pressed orange juice didnโt disappoint me!!! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป Keep it up.
Edited: Went back for their food, had Plain Waffle, Wurst Rosti and Risotto. Would give their food a 4-star but their service and drinks are still superb, so they still deserve a 5-star!! Would definitely still go back for their drinks.
Nice cafe and a great place to chill for the day.
Good to try their pancake and the waiting time for it is abt 20mins.
Had a full meal before heading over for coffee and some light desserts. New establishment with friendly staff, latte that I ordered was pretty fragrant, soft serve icecream was more like gelato's texture, mini choc balls compliment the ice cream well.
Got there slightly later than brunch but was pleasantly surprised to still be able to get seats! Food & coffee (toffeenut!) was good!
The food was ok though it was a tad salty. The coffee however was quite disappointing for a coffee bar.
Returning customer, always a good time here. Although the prices are a bit on the higher side even for a cafe, you won't be disappointed with the quality of the food.
The portions are always generous and you will never be leaving hungry. The carbonara is super creamy and flavorful, never disappoints.
Well-balanced flat white.
Good vibes in the cafe with an all-female crew! Power! Everyone is moving like clockwork. Come here to feel the energy.
Regular joint for a cuppa as it's near my workplace.
Staff are generally very friendly but the service can be hit and miss for takeaway orders. Very often having to wait more then 20 minutes for a takeaway food option - sometimes even with them forgetting the coffee order.
I do enjoy the cup (mostly, there is some inconsistency).
Coffee and truffle fries was good but sadly my cereal prawn pasta had 5 undercooked prawns.. ate one of them and totally lost my appetite ๐ข wasted the whole plate, not worth $20+.
my friend had the salmon soba and mentioned it tasted so weird also. For the price, the mains need to be improved greatly.
Nice and cosy cafe with decent food and drinks. But what stood out most for us was the wonderful service the staff had provided despite the busy weekend crowd they were dealing with. One of the female staff never fail to smile warmly and play briefly with our friend's baby every time she passed by our tables. Then when our friend's kid accidentally injured himself, the other male staff was quick to respond to our request for the first aid kit, showed great concern and even gave us a complimentary cup of ice cream to console the boy. All these little touches from the staff had made our dine-in experience a totally enjoyable one :):)
Lovely food. The fries was good. Atmosphere was relaxing
A cafe in Serangoon Garden! I went here after renovating the Coffee Bean store across the street. I went there without any expectations, but I was surprised by how pretty the cafe was. First, I ordered coffee (black macchiato), and it was good because it had a deep flavor and wasn't too sweet because it didn't contain a lot of sugar. I also ordered a croissant, and it came with butter and strawberry jam. I was surprised at how delicious the croissant was... . ๐๐๐
An online beauty store with beautiful decoration! The price is on the high side and the service is mediocre.
Waffle is worth trying. Candied Bacon is salty and sweet. You will get tired of it if you eat too much. It is recommended to share it with four people.
The other two meals were not too special and tasted pretty average.
