Reviews of Atlas Coffeehouse
came here for lunch on a busy sunday afternoon, and food was absolutely spectacular. it gets super crowded so we had to wait for around 25 minutes, but we were given a nice seat in the coffeehouse. i ordered the breakfast sandwich, and my friend ordered the buttermilk waffles. the waffles were genuinely the best waffles i’ve ever had in my life. definitely will be coming back cuz the food is unmatched
Eaten here for years and their food is consistently good. Simple cafe food done right.
Ordered The Gentleman’s Relish. The eggs were well cooked — nicely fluffy texture with a tinge of runniness.
For me, the sour dough complemented best with mascarpone. Barely touched the tomato chutney and compound butter as they had unique tastes which didn’t go quite well with the bread. But interestingly, the tomato chutney went well with the eggs.
The overall experience was ok, but it’s not a place I’d visit again.
Buttermilk chicken was slightly overfried as there was bitter burnt taste. Other food items like beef&hash, while on the salty side, were nice. But all food was overpriced, perhaps due to location.
Good food and service! Waitress kindly offered to seat me early while i waited for a friend, and the drinks were HUGE!! (jk, but it was really yummy! i liked the brightside beans they had :))
Went there on a Friday afternoon, around noon and the wait was about 15mins. Ordered the French toast, Gentleman’s Relish and Chorizo, Eggs & Avo. Chorizo and scrambled eggs were great. The butter was definitely the highlight, had a very unique furikake-like taste. Coffee is ok. Not really a fan of the sourdough and French toast, felt that the brioche was a bit dense and the preserved strawberries were too sweet
Good food. Liked it. Coffee also great.
Atlas Coffeehouse is a gem! The creamy mushrooms on sourdough and the butterscotch banana pancake were both outstanding. The coffee was top-notch, and the cozy, modern ambiance made it a perfect spot for brunch. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delightful brunch spot!
Nice coffee place for proper barista coffee. Appreciated the friendly service staff and my macchiato - properly served with a glass of water.
THANKS
Good breakfast and branch. Always busy
Apr 2019. Hot day after attending an Open House.
Atlas was forever crowded, had to wait even when it was past lunch time. At least it had a fair queuing system and the wait time was reasonable.
We ordered pancake and chicken stews. The pancake was fluffy and good even on its own, the accompanying maple syrup was left neglected. The chicken stew i thought was not as good as it used to be. The stew now was watery, saved by the tender chicken quarter. The hazelnut coffee was a tad too sweet even when i didn't add any sugar.
The bistro had a cult following, the patrons were usually hip youngsters, liked to be-seen and dressed like going to a party after that.
Really good coffee here! The food is the usual brunch fare but with a slight twist to elevate. We enjoyed the food here more than at Columbus.
Fav of the two was the chorizo, eggs and avo - the sausage has a good bite and has enough salt and heat to bear out what is usually a blah basic. Meanwhile I appreciated the pears and guava compote in the French toast, but wished they soaked the toast more - it was fluffy but not custardy at all.
They have free WiFi, but this isn't the place to wfh - there was a queue by 9.15am. Prices are inclusive of service charge 😄
One of the nice and very popular brunch cafes near the Botanic Garden. Booking is pre-requisite especially for weekend brunch. I visited the 10:30am weekday when it was also almost fully occupied. Foods and coffee were very nice. Strongly recommend the awesome Truffle fries fully covered by cheese. 👍
One of my favorite neighborhood places to eat and get coffee.
Since new renovation works, the service has certainly gone downhill. The food is still amazing.
1st time, I ate here, it was a weekday for lunch. We finished our food before our coffee came. 3-stars.
2nd time, we ordered a tea instead and still we finished our food before our tea got to our table. 3-stars.
3rd time, we waited +50 minutes for a salmon bowl because the kitchen “forgot about it.” When we were ready to leave, they rushed the bowl and gave a full refund on the bowl. The lady was very apologetic and also gave a free coffee for next time. Very proactive customer service. 5-stars.
food is delicious but wait for a while on Sat morning~ seems it’s pet friendly, met three cute corgi :)
Wurst rosti is crispy and delicious!
a child’s card drop into the wood chair, the staff is very friendly, try to get it and calm the child down, good!!
Went on a Thursday noon and it was really crowded but luckily the queue was quick so we didn't have to wait very long. Service was really fast. Tried the superbowl, chorizo egg avo and Iced Peppermint Chocolate and it was really good. Would prefer the chorizo to be less salty and only if the avo can be switched to something else.
Went there for saturday brunch when they had a special collaboration with Cogito Wines for some afternoon clinks. They had some food specials that went with the wine.
There was this great fried chicken sandwich that was so crunchy, succulent and well rounded with pickled cabbage and some sriracha sauce between thick slices of brioche like white bread fat fluffy toast.
We also had a reuben sandwich that was so disappointing - little and dry pastrami and with an egg mayo like twist that did not go well with the profile.
Truffle fries were meh and snacky like how bar food is meant to be.
Pancakes with strawberries were quite underwhelming for the price point. Generous strawberries but pancakes were dense and slightly dry.
Crowded place even at 3.30pm but fortunately still able to get a seat. Rather limited for food menu but the food we ordered were great. The strawberry pancake has a crispy texture yet with a fluffy inside. They had their in house cold brew but did not try it this time round. Overall price was a bit pricey but overall a cafe worth coming.
Update 17 Feb 2023: must say the coffee has moved from awesome to average. Not sure if it's the barista or beans. But nothing to shout out about unlike before. Price for a flat white $5.70. Kick not included.
A definite must if you have budget. Love the efficiency of the operation. The quality of food is really very good. The way they do scrambled eggs is one of the best, and their pancake is a must order! Bring your wallet though, $40 for 2 coffees, pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage.
Had the rosti and added on a spicy chorizo, pretty tasty! It offers a good selection breakfast/brunch wise, and can satisfy the health-conscious foodie, as well as those with the usual savoury palate. Standard of coffee is in line with good standing cafes, and they also offer a good selection of non-coffee based beverages. Staff are attentive, prompt and polite. Parking can be a pain as one depends on outdoor street parking along Duke's Road which tends to fill up quickly.
The servings were rather large, I couldn’t finish the soba. I’m not an avid coffee drinker but my friends who love coffee sang nothing but praise for their coffee. Interesting place with great ambience and service staff! would definitely revisit to try their pancakes and waffles.
Ordered the rosti and the avocado brunch dishes along with the truffle fries. Like the fries that isnt too oily and still retains its crunchyness even after awhile. A big portion was served and food were very fresh. Have to go early if prefers an indoor sitting over an outdoor one (can get very noisy, cramped and messy -no safe distancing). Indoor is much chill and laid back while sitting outdoors is like having to rush through our food.
Good service too.
It was a rainy morning, and there's a queue. The staff were friendly, attentive and kept a lookout for us so we can get a table. 👍🏻
Magic coffee was excellent, as with the waffles and pancake.
Will be back to try the other menu items.
Ordered 3 mains. Abv average taste and portions were reasonable.
1) Altas superbowl tasted good but portion of chicken was tad too little.
2) Chicken stew was way too salty.
3) Mushroom toast was good.
Popular cafe near botanic garden.
Good customer service and delicious foods.
They have non dairy option for your coffee (+$1)
Staircase to go to bathroom. Might not recommend for those who has lower limb mobility issues.
The Wurst Rosti ($24.60) is really pretty good. The rosti itself is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, and doused with this delicious (apparently bacon fennel) sauce. Eggs were nicely done and ok the sausage is sausage la I'm not a sausage expert.
The Mushroom Basil Pesto Pasta ($22.40) was a bit disappointing tho - it was extremely dull and we had to ask for more salt and lemon to try to save it. The pine nut comes through quite strongly and is almost bitter. I just prefer the Eleven Strands rendition!
I love their coffee and ambiance! But overpriced and they do have time limit for the meal on weekends.
Overall, it is quite good brunch place!
always loved this place although you will always have to queue !! my new found love is their charred cauliflower !! but imho the honey tater tots are not as good as before :/
Good food and brunch items. Bit pricier but I do see efforts ingredients and recipes. Nothing outstanding it's still brunch food but will come back. Didn't get to try coffee. Dog friendly.
Cosy cafe to chill and relax. Went in the morning before 11am, hence only tried their pancake and rosti with scrambled eggs. The latter is really good with perfectly done as scrambled eggs that’s really tasty, with the crispy rosti. The flavors just explodes in your mouth! 😋
Surprisingly the candied bacon ice cream waffle is yummy, good combo. The latte more on bitter taste. The rest of the dishes are acceptable.
Service was excellent. I was hosting an overseas couple with rambunctious kids and the staff was very patient and didn’t lose their cool. Would love to go back during chill hours and properly enjoy their coffee.
For the pancakes and waffles: a bit expensive and too sweet. It's always full during the weekend (been there 2x) so you would feel that you're being hurried up (staff asking if they can clean the plates when there's still some food and we were still eating)
Starbucks truly has nothing on this coffee! Unless you are waiting at the door at opening, expect a wait (that's worth it, by the way!)
Being the first customer of the day, the barista had the time to educate my group on how the coffee was made, what to expect from the different products, and wait -- what?!?!?!? How the flavor profile of the coffee would change as the temperature cooled.
I'm hooked. I will truly never look at Starbucks the same way.
One of my favourite brunch places to grab a nice meal. I don't particularly like the coffee here. But I do find their mains to be tasty and worth every penny. Their servings are extremely generous as well. I had the scrambled eggs with mushrooms on sourdough toast. My friend had the soba with salmon and it looked really good!
Nice cafe along Bukit Timah area. Was crowded even on a Weekday morning. Please call before heading to reserve a seat if possible. Ordered the Summer French Toast and it was sumptuous and yummy. Loved the aromatic of the coffee. So far the best breakfast for me. Will definitely visit again but parking might be an issue.
The chorizo brunch set is very filling. Good for 2. The sourdough bread was toasted and very crispy. I love it so much ! Their cold brew with milk has a very balanced taste. I will definitely come back again.
Lovely cafe with great food. Decided to pop by for coffee today hence just the coffees which are amazing as well. They recently renovated the place and the layout improved. It’s always almost full whenever I’m here so perhaps be ready to queue for awhile during breakfast/ lunch hours. Definitely worth checking out if you’re around the botanics area!
Salted caramel waffles are stunning, but not quite as epic as when they were serving it up at the old place. Its no longer light, airy and crisp but denser and more chewey. The coffee was of a good standard.
Crowded as usual, waited for about 15mins to get a table for 3. An fair wait for brunch on a weekend. Gentleman helped us was very attentive.
Coffee was just right as usual.
Drinks took longer to arrive than food and much longer than expected.
Chorizo was too salty for our liking & pancake was a lil too sweet this time for some reason (still pretty as always). Will try something else next time.
This cafe is always crowded, making a reservation before hand is recommended! The menu they have is quite different from your usual Egg Benedict. I recommend getting the Bacon Kedgeree. Something that you wouldn’t get anywhere and still hits the spot with sinful sour cream, jammy caramelised onions and a runny yolk!
Nice place for brunch!
Located about 8 mins walk from Botanic Garden MRT. 4 of us walked in without reservation but luckily got seat outside. We ordered couple of things like waffles, "gentleman", carbonara, 🍟 , coffee and iced chocolate.
Everything is delicious from my stand point as we finished almost everything (with 2 kids)
Price wise is same as everywhere you have brunch in SG but not many restaurants with this standard.
The food was very good but the service was a little slow.I highly recommend the Gentleman Relish .The flavour was just perfect.
Ordered chorizo, eggs, and avo which was quite pricey but tasted nice. This was served with sourdough toast. Chorizo was mildly spicy but complemented the avocado & eggs well. Place was full on a Saturday morning but we’re lucky we got seats.
Nice food and friendly stuffs. But be aware that there’s definitely gonna be a queue during the weekend (waited for about 30 mins) but they do inform you (you leave your phone number with them) when your turn comes so you don’t have to stay there and walk around instead (botanic garden is nearby).
Came back to this cafe a second time when the borders were open. One of my favourite meals from this shop is their candied bacon on waffles with ice cream.
Recently I tried their version of curry / briyani rice. Delicious!
How a cafe should be.
Delicious food, great environment, excellent service.
Be prepared to wait awhile to get seats though!
Pasta is salty but other than that, the food is good.
Quite crowded even at non-peak hours. But it’s easy to see why. Coffee is good, food is excellent. Do try the super bowl.
Brought my toddler for brunch on a Saturday morning and they were very helpful in providing high chairs, kids utensils! They have babycino on their menu which my LO loved! Had their pancakes with passion fruit curd, which added a lovely zesty twist to the usual pancakes.
I visited in a morning. Calm & relaxing mood healed me. Soft sunlight came from big window & a few customers looked indulging quiet time. Though it's getting busy after 9am, still comfortable there.
generous portion of food!
really filling.
pour over (v60) Ethiopia is good, brewer was able to bring out the notes of the beans. ups!
Best brunch in Singapore
Four persons 90$++
Nice ambience. Popular spot. Queue to get in, 45 minutes to finish.
Tried the gentleman relish, and it was very special and the food combination was great. Definitely will be back for more meal.
The small store is full of people... The queue is under the awning, which is very considerate and will not expose you to the sun!
The coffee is delicious! ! Recommend magic, which is the golden ratio of coffee and milk. It is recommended for those who like strong coffee flavor and milky aroma.
Chorizo, egg & Avo, the portion doesn’t look like much, but it’s very filling! The avocado is well seasoned and can counteract the spiciness of the sausage.
The Candied Bacon waffle is only suitable for sharing after a meal. The waffle itself is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but when paired with syrup and ice cream, it will still be a little greasy! A cup of coffee at the right time, perfect for brunch
I live nearby. This shop has two brushes for pasta and bread 🉑️, recommended.
Need to queue up, nice atmosphere
