Food Review
Nestled in a relatively new coffee shop, this spot boasts numerous stalls, but we were here specifically for their tze char. The coffee shop itself is sprawling, with odd angles and a layout that requires a bit of “diving” in and out. The tze char stall is tucked towards the back, and we managed to snag the large table right at the end, offering a nice view of the park connector.
The food overall was enjoyable. A standout is their Nonya Fish Steam Tail in Assam gravy, currently on promotion for $10. However, note that this promo is limited to one dish per table. Another highlight was the Hong Kong-Style Pork Rib, served in a playful aluminum foil wrapping that my niece amusingly described as resembling a “ducky duck.”
While most dishes impressed, the Tasty Salad Sotong fell short as it didn’t taste fresh.
This place accepts cash, PayNow, or PayLah, and reservations are recommended if you’re planning to arrive after 5:30 PM. We arrived at 5 PM and were lucky to secure a 10-seater table.
Newly opened hawker centre in an otherwise sparse area, devoid of good eateries. Definitely convenient for nearby residents with reasonable prices. Parking is available onsite since it's a HDB block, but you can also park at a multistorey carpark just opposite the road.
Honestly speaking, nothing really grabs your taste buds outstandingly. However, there are some noteworthy stalls. Charcoal Master's wantan mee is value for money at just $4 a plate with sufficient roasted pork and springy noodles. Yu Pan also has $4 soup noodles. For vegetarians and vegans, see tips below.
Do not expect to keep returning here unless you live nearby. However, it's worth a visit if you happen to be exercising at the nearby Sungai Serangoon park connector!
