Reviews of FLOCK CAFE
Great cafe to WFH. Banana caramel iced latte was a bit pricey, but really delicious. Ample indoor and outdoor seating available, as well as free WiFi. I loved the cozy atmosphere of a neighborhood spot.
Pleasently surprised no service charge and prices are nett but the avocado is overpowered by too much raw onions and possibly MSG taste so minus 1 star. And the bathroom really smells so don't seat too close to bathroom.
Food here is not bad. Apparently, the pork cheek burger is a must try. We ordered that and a house burger to share. They each came with Cajun fries. All tasted great! Just that I thought the fries were a little dry but it’s alright.
Smoothies were also great too!
It’s a good place to hang out to eat and chat. Service was not bad too. Considering we did not made a booking, we got a table pretty fast.
The food was pretty good, coffee was very good. The sourdough could be thicker for the shakshuka.
Unfortunately I have to agree with one of the reviewers here that there’s a v musty smell close to the toilet. It bothered me quite a bit although my friend didn’t notice. Try to improve circulation or so some renovation to improve it. Consider perhaps some neutral smelling spray or scent in the place
Nice cosy little place with decent food and relaxed atmosphere. Food was normal English breakfast food and coffee was nice. Service was attentive and courteous.
18 March 2022 - still nice and cozy. Big breakfast was BIG. Generally good food, no wow factor but nothing wrong with the taste either. Many other choices for main courses which we didn't get to try of course.
Coffee was nice but got cold really quickly. Overall spent $40+ here for two pax, drinks and taxes included. There was no service charge. You have to order and pay at the counter. Service was kind of slow as we waited quite a while for the food to arrive. Smoothie was average. Waffles were thick and delicious. The guacamole on the avocado toast was refreshing but I felt that the toast could be better. Surprisingly the eggs were not served with pepper and would do better with it.
One my favourite brunch place. Price is regular cafe price but feels fair.
Nice place but the French toast is garbage. Not Singapore Uncle's taste, Giving 4 stars for benefit of doubt for other items on the menu. Not too crowded, Cosy for a cup of coffee esp on rainy days. Might be a different story on peak lunchtimes.
Small place and really crowded because it’s so good. Cozy and great ambience. The food is also nice. Their coffee ok one. Must try!
Flock cafe is very near my house but never patron it as I heard its kinda overpriced w mediocre food. I went this time coz a colleague wanted to try. Firstly this place has no price list so we had to order "blindly" without knowing the price! This is really a minus minus for me. I ordered the cheeky eggs n iced orange mocha. My colleague ordered the same but its w smoked salmon. My cheeky eggs has braised pork cheek, 2 poached eggs topped w hollandaise sauce and a handful of salad. The braised pulled pork cheek was tender n quite flavorful. I realised that I still don't really fancy poached eggs! The egg whites texture tasted really weird n hint of sourness since its cooked in water w vinegar added to it. Orange mocha was ok.. (Ronin did it much better since they are the originals!)
First time here and love the food and ambience. Will come back
Food-wise, it’s the best cafe/restaurant in Tiong Bahru. Must tries: Penne, Shakshuka, Pork Chop…
Service is always excellent!
Furnishings are a little old, some parts of the cafe can have an odd smell, or are not that cooling, but the music they play is very relaxing! Makes it a great place for chit chat with friends or reading.
Best thing is there’s no gst or service charge!
Cake and drink wise, there's nothing special here. The price is pretty standard too. But the place is cosy and comfortable. Everytime we walk past in the evening, it's generally quiet.
One of the few cafes in the neighborhood to serve hot meals.
Food is very good. The fries with my beef burger was excellent, and my burger was well dressed. Patty was tad dry, but acceptable. Aglio oglio pasta was spicy! But delicious if you like heat in your food. To avoid: soy latte - the soy milk seems to be some organic muck which made my coffee yucky.
Disappointed with the 3 dishes we ordered. Just a run-of- the-mill cafe. Although, service was very prompt and the place is nice and cozy for a hot humid afternoon.
Food was good, portions large and prices for their brunch menu is reasonable. Have a suspicion that their 'maple syrup' is actually maple flavoured syrup.
Cosy cafe with cute latte art! Hot choco was alright, would definitely return again if I’m looking for a cosy place to hang out in the area.
Cosy cafe for brunch to dinner. Good selection of food and drinks. Note that their pizzas are only available after 3pm.
Nice place to chill. Staff at the counter made an awesome customized Mocha with my face ! :)
Tried the shakshuka; unfortunately both eggs were slightly overcooked for my liking. Was hoping for a runny egg yolk which I think would have made the dish perfect. Nonetheless the coffee and fries were great too 😊
Food and coffee was good. Reasonable prices and no ++ which is a plus! (Lol) Service was ok. Everything was help yourself pretty much anyway. Solid 3.5 stars but I rounded up... :)
Food is sweet and carbby as expected. I wish there were more ingredients for the cost of it. Everyone needs to take a page from Wild Honey tbh.
This was our second choice from P.S. Café as there were no seats in the latter. Giving it three stars because it was very easy to find available seats here. My friends and I ordered drinks. The carrot juice I ordered was freshly made on the spot. But I must say carrot juice on its own is not particularly tasty 😅 Anyway, that cost $7.30 and I do think it's rather pricey - I'm willing to pay $4-$5 for freshly made juice, but $7.30?
last min super late lunch with my sulky dog. The pasta was v good but too uncomfortable to enjoy this quick fix. Sitting under the sun didnt help either. haha
Great place for brunch and coffee.
We love their French toast.
Very cozy and pet friendly cafe. Came across a Caucasian couple with two adorable and super well behaved standard poodles.
Cafe is very accommodating when i ask if they had steak at 930am and they happily obliged. The steak was passable, still no complaint as they are not a specialty steakhouse plus needed something hearty before wine tasting at 11am. My friend had the scrambled eggs and sourdough which was really good. The coffees are also pretty good. Will look to visit again on future trips to singapore.
Good cafe.
Staffs are very nice.
Definitely a good choice around here.
Been here a few times with my kids and wife. The food is great and generally the atmosphere is chill. You can bring your dog too..
Only down side is that some (not all) servers may not be trained. A glass broke on the table infront of my kid, and I had a server who looked and did nothing. We called her over to clear the glass. She pointed to my wife's dish and gestered got glass. We told her if we can get new plate and quickly clear the glass but she stood still. Called for manager who took immediate actions.
I seen a couple of incidents happen to others where some servers do not know what to do or how to respond.
It is still a great place regardless but do not have high expectations of the servers.
🏠 Quiet & cosy cafe with indoor & outdoor seats
📍 Tucked in the corner of Tiong Bahru Estate
☕️ Decent coffee
🍝 Good selection of food & all-day breakfast
🍰 Cakes were a little pricey
💻 Wifi available but not sure about sockets
✨ Will be back for their tiramisu affogato!
Nice place to chillax. Orange cinnamon mocha ( no pic) is nice perk up!
A very normal cafe in the Tiong Bahru neighborhood. There’s a reason why there’s no queue here. Well it’s also the reason why I entered in the first place.
Popped by on a Sat and the barista made a queen latte art on my coffee, specially walking over letting me that he wants me to have a great Sat and feel like a queen. So talented as it was a tiny piccolo too! Really brightened up my weekend
Our go to place for coffee and brunch. We love their cozy atmosphere
Cozy, almost too cramped, but it's a nice place to hang out with friends. The interior is lit with warm (as in colour) lighting, giving the place a very comfortable ambience to just chill and chat.
Ordered the waffles w tiramisu ice cream, and orange cinammon mocha. Pretty decent, worth your try.
Staff was polite and service was good.
Food is reasonably priced and delicious! 👍🏻
Great food and service. Ordered the pulled pork burger, Fish n chips n pulled pork penne which was excellent. Cash card parking available nearby and its pretty near the car park. Dogs are allowed here at the outdoor area which was a plus point to me. Great for friends gathering with dogs. Highly recommended and one of my fav to go place with my fur kids
Nice hang out to chill place with yummy great portion food
Very nice flat white here, good service
Great customer service, the manager was very attentive and catered to special requests to our seating arrangements. Definitely try the smoked salmon croissant, fantastic brunch selection.
One of my favorite chillax cafe in the hood.
Very comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors.
Excellent service staff and food is yummy!
super nice and quiet neighborhood style cafe. coffee was great and not overpriced.
A nice brunch address, especially for the price ! The menu is not exceptionally original but it offers everything you need for your hipster brunch in singapore, and for a good price ! In the heart of timing bahru
Food is ok. Supposedly dog friendly cafe but the outdoor seating area isn't very comfortable - squeezy and warm, and right next to the bushes
It’s a very cozy, quiet cafe with a rustic feel. Highly recommended for those needing a place for an afternoon reading session. Went there from 2pm to 5pm.
Good place for lunch if you happen to be in Tiong Bahru. Food is excellent and ambience is perfect
Friendly staff, nice coffee
Nice coffee nice waffles. The caramel icecream on waffles were excellent. It was good value for money.
Food and ambience is great, had a great time chatting with one of the staff there during the non peak hours. Do expect some waiting due to covid
Chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Good quality food. Will try the coffee next time
Lovely coffee and brunch is definitely worth a try. Take note of the opening hours though as closes quite early!
never fail good flavourful coffee. yup flavourful is not a right word. But it is.
September 22nd. Visited for breakfast on Saturday.
I was impressed by the variety of lattes ✨ I ordered a banana caramel latte 😋 When I went there after 9:00, it was full, but when I went there the following week after 8:00, they let me in.
I ordered a big breakfast for breakfast, and it was really big! ! It's more than enough for two people to share. It's the perfect place for a relaxing weekend breakfast ✨
As expected, after 9:00, there were more families and it got crowded, so I recommend visiting around 8:00.
Many seats were reserved, so it might be a good idea to make reservations in advance.
The atmosphere is there, but the food is not as delicious as expected :(, the coffee also needs to be strengthened
The coffee and meals are OK, and the space is quite comfortable.
I tried it after reading the review below and the Iced Orange Cinnamon Mocha was really amazing and delicious!
A cafe with a calm atmosphere. It might be relaxing and not too crowded.
