Reviews of Glyph Supply Co
well lit and spacious cafe!! Work friendly, coffee is also not too overpriced ($6.50 for my iced flat white)! Flat white was a little too bitter for my liking, would recommend the oat cold brew ($8) for those with sweeter taste buds. Mentaiko tater tots were also very good! ($12) Staff are very friendly but note there are no plugs in this cafe.
One of the best specialty coffee I have tasted by far. The flavour of the coffee is strong (I ordered a white first, with extra shots). So I decided to order another black to really taste the coffee.
Staff was friendly and patient in explaining the beans they use and provided me with the coffee profiles to refer to.
Will definitely drop by again!
We enjoyed the cappuccino but personally, the hot chocolate stood out more - thick mouthfeel, fruity and not sweet. Would recommend the BEC and avo sandwich as well. The former had generous fatty bacon slices and complemented the latter, which was more wholesome but still flavourful. As others have mentioned - well priced, simple food - total bill came to $36. Will return.
Good ambience and impressed by their filter coffee. The Barista brewed his coffee very close to the actual profile, we ordered Honduras. He is super friendly and always attentive.
The teas are also carefully selected, very aromatic with no caffeine. Pastries are great too. Masalachai (caffeine level 5) is a must try too!!
Coffee place away from the busy orchard road. Plenty of temp indoor seating outside of the cafe. Roast their own beans, sell coffee accessories.
Good coffee. They sell quite a few coffee accessories at affordable prices (+10% of US prices). Their own beans are a tad pricey. $50 for 100g. They serve cakes too.
Interestingly, they managed to secure indoor spaces outside of their shop to increase seating area.
Tried Glyph twice, once on a very quiet weekday morning, and a 2nd time during a busy weekend afternoon. Had the black and the filter coffee. Both experiences were great. Firstly, place is nicely lit up with natural sunlight making it really comfortable. Also it is quite spacious, and nothing too fancy. Coffee was good, especially the filter coffee. Wasnt too acidic and relatively easy to drink - great for weekend and people with lighter tastebuds. Owner was really friendly and sincere with his service - best part of any coffee shops. They sell their coffee beans, cups, and fossa chocolate as well! And pastries for those who like to have a munch with their coffee.
Enjoyed myself both times and will definitely be back!
The geisha is awesome, filter coffee choices are wide. I gave three stars because we waited almost 20 mins for the coffee when it is not even crowded. That’s just way too long. They should also change the cup, most are cracked, the cup shape just not easy to hold although they look pretty. It is not for Asian hand for sure!
It located at the less crowded triple one somerset (which is what I prefer) hence more quiet and good for chill and chit chat. The coffee wise I find them nothing fantastic (not that it’s bad but just nothing great too) especially with that price tag. Overall pretty nice place have a gathering with friends juts lower your expectation of the coffee.
Ordered the Avocado Hummus Toast. It has a citrus taste. Not bad, something rather unique. But the toast was over-toasted, was hard to cut thru with a knife.
They do not allow outside food and drinks, which I totally understand. We had coffee cups from else where which we finished before we sat down. They reminded twice that we must throw them ourselves. I was at a coffee shop which an old uncle offered to helped throw the packaging of an "outside food". It's personal opinion, but it boils down to an individual's level of service.
Overall, food was ok only, there are cafes out there that serve much better toast.
The only coffee place at 111 Orchard. Coffee is higher priced compared to familiar coffee joints for a small cup. Coffee taste is rich and robust but tend towards being more acidic, which I don't prefer.
Nice cosy space with some good coffee.
Great place to catch up.
Love the ambiance and how clean the place is. The service crew and baristas are also very attentive and have good vibes.
Will definitely recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to get their caffeine fixed and to talk shop. ☕️
Came here after lunch and got 2 cups of flat white, one with normal milk and another with oat milk. Decent coffee and awesome service. Good space to have a chat and is very spacious as well.
My friend got the coffee which she said was pretty good, I love that I can get sparkling sake, but their scones are served burnt :( See pic for evidence. Also asked for iced water but didn’t get it until I asked for third time.
Ordered a cold brew, white and carrot cake. The cold brew is one of the best I have tasted in Singapore! I wish to try their filter selection soon, spent too much on the same day so couldn’t bring myself to sample the Atas filter coffee lol.
Oh the carrot cake was so good! My wife wanted to order another serving but was stopped by me so that she doesn’t have to get more fat into her system hehe.
Coffee was good. Great service too. Ordered the white and a mocha. Really nice place to chill and relax. Definitely will be back again.
The best cold brew I have had in Singapore! Coffee is slightly more expensive than other cafes but this is located in the orchard road area so I guess that is to be expected. The ambiance is nice and clean. However I don't think the seats are very comfortable if you decide to sit around for a long time. Service is friendly and quick.
Minimalist cafe newly opened in April 2019. Good coffee with beans roasted inhouse. Pastries are discounted in the morning so good value for breakfast.
A spacious and clean-looking cafe with its own modern-looking bean roaster slightly off the beaten track that is Orchard Road. Coffee is top-notch and affordable, though served in slightly smaller servings
I want to try the filtered coffee but it was not available probably on high demand because that is what people recommend on blog I read. I tried the cold brew coffee. Unlike others, the cold brew served taste so original (mostly other will mix up with milk)
Love the coffee and vibes at Glyph! The coffee is easy to drink and the place is spacious and well lit. They roast their own beans, promising the freshest quality!
Quite expensive. Smoked salmon bagel and coffee were good.
They do have interesting fermented beans and Kompucha
Nice place to come for a special coffee
The Affogato was so nice! The mixture between the vanilla ice cream and the espresso was perfect! Would try it again.
Excellent selection and execution of filter coffee
Great pizza place. Service is top notch too. Salads and antipasto are great too.
Overall is ok but It’s my first time to drink almost cold coffee when my dine-in order is hot one 😅
Not a coffee connoisseur - I actually can't drink most coffees without gagging because I dislike the taste of it. But I had a white oat coffee here and it was really smooth. I wanted to leave a review because of the great music. HONNE and Bruno Major? Yes from me. Great ambiance that isn't too bustling but also not too empty. Great service too. If there's somewhere to spend $6 on a coffee, it's here and not a major coffee chain.
This is my second time at Glyph and I would say that this is definitely a must-try cafe if you really like a good coffee and well-priced breakfast options!
Came here on a Thursday morning and ordered a Regular White Coffee and the Thick-Cut Bacon and Cheese Sourdough sandwich.
The coffee really hit the right spots for me and it tasted like a rich-bodied but smooth stout that just brought the hectic morning to a calm:) their is a slight hint of molasses in it which brings out the sweetness!
As with the Thick-Cut Bacon and Cheese Sourdough sandwich, could you really get something out there for a bargaining price of $10?! The cuts were extremely generous (>1.5inches) and the bacon was not overly salted/cured. Goes so well with their chipotle sauce!
To top it off, the two ladies serving were extremely welcoming and friendly in their service! You can tell that they really enjoy what they are doing and it is shown in the quality of coffee and food produced:)
Used to be one of the top end coffee establishments in Singapore but looks like the standard has dropped. Tried the recent C.C.D. Reserve Gesha from Panama origin, and it didn't have distinct tasting notes as it used to be, and it tasted a bit watery. With the $15 price tag a cup, customers definitely expect something more.
Similarly, the hot white/latte has gone weak, slightly acidic and too milky; can't really get a nice kick of cuppa.
The only saving grace is that they get hold of that café spot located in Orchard.
The cafe is located at the first floor of the 111 Somerset. The cafe is very bright, airy, and spacious.
It offers a variety of coffee, brewed using the pour over method. They also offer the espresso and or espresso-based drinks.
I visited on the first weekend of differentiated restrictions. It wasn't crowded, I was pleasantly surprised as this place is quite popular. I got the Colombia Geisha pourover for $11. It's by no means cheap even for pourovers, but the coffee was good and I have no complaints.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful. One of them was very quick in serving me water alongside my coffee when I requested for it (plus refills). Another also struck a casual conversation with me about coffee and introduced me to their products when I stood up to check out their beans on the shelf. Overall I had a very nice experience, I would visit them again if I'm in the area.
It was an interesting experience drinking this Taiwanese-style milk tea beverage. It has extra ingredients that was a pleasure to have. It is refreshing to say the least. The usual bubbles tea that is a norm but this beverage came with extras....I like it
Csfe is spacious and open. Ordered flat white and it was okay, not burnt, of acceptable standard. Ordered grilled cheese/mushroom toast and the avocado/hummus toast. Both came in a generous serving for the price paid. Cheaper than other cafes elsewhere. Avocado served is real sliced half avocado and not mashed/mixed. Recommend anyone around the area to give this place a try.
One of my go-to places for exceptional coffee! The espresso is always an interesting option and the filter selections are always special. Bakes are carefully sourced and sandwiches are all house made from their sister cafe Dough. Dope stuff
Coffee was very good. Tried the long black and the cold brew. Fantastic. I’ve tried many cold brews in Sg but this is definitely one of the best.
However, the servings are pretty small.
At the fringe of orchard road, convenient yet away from the crowds.
Amazing avocado toast and fantastic coffee. Feels like Melbourne in Singapore.
One of the best coffee in Singapore, you can tastes everything from nutty, fruity to bittersweet and clean your palate aftertaste. PS. Love the interior too!
Well designed and minimalistic cafe hidden at triple one somerset. I tried the matcha latte with oat milk and paid $7-8 for it, it wasn’t very sweet which was nice. But I’ve had better elsewhere for a more affordable price. Nonetheless, the chill vibes and minimalistic design are two reasons why you should pop by if you’re in town!
Excellent independent speciality coffee space. Top notch Espresso based coffee ( filter and teas also available) and tasty fresh food. Coffees prepared with expertise ,care and attention to detail, also they roast their own beans.
Living for over 7 years in Melbourne has made me skeptical that good coffee can exist in Singapore, however this fantastic cafe has proven me wrong.
The baristas are super passionate, and this is probably the first place in Singapore where I could almost pretentiously say "double espresso single origin" and they'll know exactly what I want - except that they ONLY do single origins, which was a treat! Most coffee beans are roasted in house, but they do import from fantastic brands to fill in the gaps until they get a full-size roaster into the cafe, such as Proud Mary's in Melbourne.
The area is bright, open and welcoming, with Scandinavian influenced design and minimalistic edges. One of the co-owners was friendly and sat next to me at the bar, explaining notes that I was tasting in my Columbian brew and the story of Glyph.
The filter coffees also looked amazing, I will have to return when I have more time and am not rushing down the hallway to get somewhere.
In my opinion, one of the best specialty coffee places in Singapore. Awesome aesthetics, unique and delicious food offerings, and most importantly high quality coffee. If you're in the Orchard area, do yourself a favour and make a trip down!
Nice Cold Brew, I will said the best I had in Singapore. Like the light refreshing taste. Well done!
Bright, clean and chill…. Great place to start the day. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
White minimalistic cafe tucked within the 111 Somerset - great vibes, good coffee and really loved the simple breakfast menu. Scone was just the right touch of crumbliness (altho jam was bit too sweet), the toasted cheese sandwich was well made and the avocado toast was one of the best i've had at this price point (in Sg)
Great coffee, nice smoked salmon toast, good ambience, kind service!
Ordered cold brew (white) and an iced white. Quite disappointed with the taste of the beverages. The cafe was nice but can get a tad bit smoky when they are roasting the beans in-house. Friendly staff and good service.
Nice ambiance, welcoming staff, and good quality coffee. Consider a local favourite for Western style coffee in the area.
I was amazed by quite hard to get gold Western style coffee in Orchard. Good one ☝️
Love the sriracha mayo but feeling a bit cheated by their cold brew. Ordered a cold brew and it came only had a cup like it's half drunk. I feel like Glyph could have been more upfront about the quantity because when you order cold brew outside, it doesn't come like that at all. It really looks bad half full.
Coffee wasn't as strong as the first time I had it, but very Christmas-sy today in their costumes. Got a shock when I turned the corner and saw them though. Appreciate the effort and the coffee, and the warm friendliness that greeted me!
Great hipster coffee spot. The coffee is a bit on the pricey side, but they sure make a tasty cup of coffee. They also serve some light bites for breakfast which were lovely.
Outstanding coffee. Really top notch. Tiny cup sizes, even smaller than you'd expect, for too much money. Delicious flat white in a Chinese tea cup size.
Impaccable service and definitely one of the best coffees around. Baristas spare no less effort to answer every enquiry and ensured that everyone felt taken care of. Will definitely go back for their exquisite filter coffees and that wicked grilled cheese toast!
Very very good coffee, good location great service.
One of best coffee in Singapore
Really good coffee! We were only in Singapore for a week but we came back here 4 times. Best coffee we found in Singapore!
Staffed by passionate baristas, the cafe has a interesting and delicious offering of coffees, and a well curated selection of yummies. Definitely try the cold brew!
good environment, nice decor.
I like my coffee hot, not slightly above lukewarm! but their delicious affogato never disappoints.
Nice, quiet place to read a book and think about my life decisions. Great coffee!
regular coffee is nice, but oat cold brew tastes funny 🙁
Love the oat cold brew.
Nice ambient! variety of teas for u to choose
Orchard areas
Good for weekend gathering!
Nice filter coffee
Decent coffee just back from Orchard Road.
Great coffee, nice ambience 👍🏻
High quality pour over coffee
Nice white and minimalist setting
Good coffee
The coffee.....the coffee...the coffee.... omgggggoshhhh delishhhhhh
This cafe is located in the 111 Mall near Somerset Station. Perhaps due to the influence of the coronavirus, the row of shops where this shop is located has the impression that the shops change rapidly, but I have the impression that it is stable and always reasonably busy. I always use it as a place to drink coffee and exchange information with acquaintances, and the ceiling is high and the exterior is made of glass, letting in sunlight, so it feels like a very open atmosphere. I think the store clerk is also pretty nice. I don't know much about coffee, so I honestly don't know how it tastes, sorry.
% in 333 is always crowded and unsettling, so I like this restaurant with its relaxed atmosphere.
