Reviews of Goh Lim Hua Eating House
The Hokien Mee is nice and the portion serving is quite substantial. If you are a small eater you can probably share a packet. Sometimes there is a long queue of customers especially during lunch time so you may be expected to wait. The store also serves carrot cake which is pretty good. I prefer the white to the dark version. They also sell fried kway teow as well.
One of the established store is the roast meat and roast duck which has been selling at coffeeshop for years. There is a steady stream of cusomers during lunch time. Their roast duck and roast belly pork are nice and top with a thick sauce. They also serve a variety of soup at reasonable prices and are delicious too.
There is a store serving Indian food and prata. There are several other stores like mixed vegetable, chicken rice and Teochew fishball noodles. Western food is open in the evening.
There used to be a zhi char stall but it's now changed to selling mookata. They have also added several other dishes which can be included as side dishes or standalone. They look interesting although I have not tried it personally.
Reasonable prices, good variety of food, good local coffee. Quite an airy place and not too noisy and in fact a good simple coffee shop to relax while having your meals and drinks. Some new stalls have taken over. The Western food stall is pretty good.

Decided to try the fish soup instead of the usual fried hokkien mee or carrot cake. Fish soup taste so so, fried fish is soggy as compared to other places i have tried. Soup also on sweeter side, hope not added msg and seasoning

Like the fried hokkien mee at this coffeshop. Also sell carrot cake. Frief hokkien mee usually sold out by 7pm. Coffee and tea here is nice. Easy parking and car park is big so confirmed got parking space.
This coffeeshop has the most stalls with great food that i have visited. Eg Hokkien fried noodle, char kwey teow, my favourite ban mian (original and Tom yum), roast meat rice, western food, popiah....
Great coffeeshop with food such as duck rice, chicken rice, fishball noodle and prawn noodles. The zhi standard is really very awesome I must say!
Been staying around this area for the past 20 years. Went through the before and after renovation of the coffeeshop..
This must be Singapore’s cleanest coffee shop!!!!! I came home and googled the address to share with my friends, and ended up reading the comments of the owner. And I must say, I think it’s a really laudable effort and to put a bit of soul back into our local food. My Husband and I sat there completely amazed at the quality of the cleanliness. We visited the place to explore a food recommendation, expecting the usual opposition ward coffee shop (lol) -homely but run down and dirty.
However, EVERY table is clean, there isn’t even water marks - Even the food utensil collection bins are clean. Ive never seen this standard anywhere else! Everything was very orderly and the stores looked well maintained. It’s like as though we were in someone’s home and backyard. we are so amazed that they can accomplish this! The floor is clean, and the whole environment is bright and airy, it certainly feels like a perfect place for a beer (our Carlsberg was served very cold, beer lady was attentive and not pushy) and good local food. Not Smokey or greasy. It is very windy and lots of flat screen TVs visible from every sitting position. Lots of parking too.
We came to try the Hokkien mee and it was good, very pleasantly surprised. Not too salty, and the stock to fry the noodles was quite flavourful. The noodles are fried more on the dry side, which is what I like. Tastes better without the chilli. And the portion is huge! Reminds me of how things used to be....
Another recommendation given to us was the char siew rice store during lunch time - which we will try next time!
One of the cheapest coffee shop to have a meal. Gor hiong for 2 is only $6, Wet been hoon and mee goreng for less than $9 in total
Been a resident in this area for a long time. This has always been my favourite Dabao food place. Top recommendations are Roast pork & char Siew ricr, rmb to have one of their soups too! The soups are not too salty but flavourful and I always love to order it tgt as a meal. Leaves the tummy warm and nice.
Hokkien mee stall is kinda famous but I rarely eat that because need to wait.
Decided to leave a review today after dining in for breakfast because the uncles working at the drinks stall attended to me are very nice, haha keep making sure I took out my soft boil eggs after 6minutes. Uncle told me the eggs they use are fresh (they come daily) hence the taste is indeed good too.
Can try their prata (Abhi's Indian Food Stall), not bad. 👍
The Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice stall can be seen with hawker dominating queues, the Hokkien Mee/CKT stall is my personal Fav!!
Generally all the food stalls here are good too! Definitely one of neighbourhood favs!
Neighborhood coffeeshop with a nice selection of local food!
The zhichar is good and reasonable price.
Quite a clean kopitiam as compared to others. Trays were cleared very promptly when I was there. My family liked the hokkien prawn noodles.
Not much choices of food .. the western stall always show black face to the customers.. if too choose between carrot cake or chezhar both are nice

Prata nice with mutton gravy. Porridge too although expensive with meat and fish dishes.
Clean and comfortable with decent old school Zi Char! The Ban Mian and Char Siew Rice is great too
I think the cleanliness can be improved. Maybe conduct more frequent spot checks on the place?
