Reviews of Han's Union (Springleaf Garden)
Came here during cny and was pleasantly surprised that they were open without any cny surcharge. Pretty crowded during peak lunch hour but the service was quick and efficient.
No compromise on the quality of food - tried the horfun and big breakfast both were surprisingly good. Generous portions and price wasn’t too expensive considered the air conditioned environment. The beef was a little tough but overall still good.
Will come back again!
Nice food and drinks here. Staff were pleasant and helpful!
All day breakfast, choice of Western and Asian dishes plus a plethora of desserts for the most discerning customer are the biggest draw. Coupled with a family-friendly set up and fast service, not to mention it is right at the Springleaf MRT entrance makes it super convenient. Did I mention reasonable price?
nice place to have a tea break
came here to buy something for my breakfast the next day. bought the marble cake in the end. taste is so so only. also tried the ciabatta with egg and bacon. I also order a kopi. the food taste is ok but not a large portion. I can't say it is value for money.
Always having the Fish & Chips here! For $10, quite a huge piece of fish and goos amount of french fries. Food is served hot and not a long wait either. Plenty of seats and quite clean. Also tried the Hainanese Pork Chop and it was good too. Big piece of pork chop, well good and very old school. Good place for a quiet family dinner.
Nice comfort food followed by sweet dessert as ending 😋. Glad to see a 24-hour eatery still opening on 1 Jan 2022. We were famished after a visit to Night Safari. ☺
It's been awhile since I've eaten at Han's, and I've always enjoyed the roasted half chicken. This time wasn't an exception, it was served piping hot and the meat was tender. I think they did change the side dish for the dish I ordered from before, it used to be mixed vegetables such as carrots broccoli, which seems to have been replaced with rocket lettuce salad which was disappointing for me.
One thing I also miss is the free-flow self-service water, though I do understand the need to remove it due to covid restrictions.
Overall, the menu is quite pricey in general although the variety seems good.
Did a take away. The curry puffs (triangular) are huge and generously stuffed with potatoes. Tasted great next day cold & even better when reheated. The chicken pie was quite nice. imo better than the famous one from AMK Hub basement. The Madeline was buttery. hmmm a great tea time snack.
Western food and some specialities are good and reasonably priced. However, I need to seriously think about paying 8-9 dollars for Hor Fun or Fried Rice when i can get the same dish for half the price at coffee shops.
Conveniently located just outside Springleaf TEL MRT.
The food is okay. Price of the aglio is considered expensive at $12.50 with the small portion.
Service can be improved
Went there for a morning walk with wife, daughter n hubby, so had breakfast at Han's after the walk. Ordered the kaya toast set, which was rather pricey at $5.80. The kopi gao was really sub par, very disappointing after paying a high premium for the set. Only saving grace was the generous kaya. Half boiled eggs were pretty normal. The atmosphere was nice n quiet, of course with aircon. But not worth paying for the expensive breakfast set.
Have a good variety of food options. I like the location.
Food was good. Place is quite big but due to safe management measures, tables have to be spread out.
Nice place for a meal. Good location as it's next to an MRT Station and a bus stop. Food standard is maintained at a consistent level. The aie conditioning is a big plus in the recent hot spell.
Easy to get here after TEL open! New dish - Ramen is added in their menu
Great food at affordable price. There's a self check out kiosk and also a cashier. Everything is self service here. Food taste great.
Poor air ventilation and strong aircon if you are seated under one.
The whole body stinks after dining.
But it's a cosy dining place for families .
Reasonably priced home cooked food ambience.
The beverages are good if the more experienced staff is handing the drinks counter, else its off the standard. For the other foods that are generally ok, the pastry needs improvement as the crust of the pastry or even cakes can be very dry. This may mean that the food have been left in fringe or etc for quite a long time. Asian delicate stir fry have greatly improved since last year, cold hor fun in the centre.
Nice breakfast set.
A go-to breakfast place for me. Clean, fast, family-friendly. The kaya butter toast, the omelette, and steak donburi are all my top recommendations here. Others can be a hit and miss.
Nothing special with the Fried Rice dishes, Mee Goreng, and HK noodle. But acceptable enough.
The drinks are pretty good too and just needs consistency with how they prepare it.
Don't know where to go to especially when it's late at night? Come on down to Hans at Thomson. Food served is as good as its other outlets. What sets this outlet apart from the rest would be its quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
The teh si here is fragrant and gao. Tau Sar Piah is decent but super flaky which will cause it to drop everywhere when eaten.
Can skip the chicken confit ramen… Pricey and the ramen isn’t that good… I recommend having the HK Fried Noodle instead…
The fish & chip taste so so...
Standard of food is still good, but prices have increased by about 20% for my usual fare..
We went there 2 hv lunch whilst having a ride on the new Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL). The food was good, service was swift and ambience was ok. Good to hv an MRT station at our doorstep, as the nearest one prior to this was at Bishan CCL, a distance away. We now don't need to go so far to take the train.
Food is good. It is always served hot. Economical place to have a decent meal. Prices are affordable. Menu seems to be stagnant. It would be nice to see some changes in the menu. The deserts are average. On the whole it's a family orientated place for dining.
Always a good place for lunch Love their usual favorites
Maintained a good consistent standard for their food.
A bit annoyed with the self ordering kiosk though; promotional items are not in the menu & has to queue at the counter just for that, double effort.
Parking space is very limited.
This Han's outlet offers some Japanese cuisine on top of their usual Hainanese, Western and Chinese fare. Besides their meals, I enjoy their pastries and cakes too. Spacious outlet although parking is quite a pain around here.
As of 11 Nov, they only allow 2 pax dining-in despite the 5 pax household dining-in rule.
Normally visit this place around 9pm. Food was always pipping hot. But today came during dinner time. Mix up order to take away. Drinks served wrong.Fish and chips was warm. Fries was cold.
First time here. Very spacious. Environment ideal for WFH and food here ranges from Western eg steak, pasta to Chinese eg Beef Horfun. Parking is limited though. Alternative parking is along the road behind Han's where the landed properties are.
Simple fuss free place for a meal. OCBC card users enjoy 10% off for a minimum spend of $25, which is easy to hit for a party of two people. Fuss free place to get a simple meal. Parking at this branch can be a problem, but I think it would improve once the MRT station opens. Looking forward to that too.
I like it's environment .The spread of local and western delights is what kept me coming. It's chef is also efficient as food is served really fast. It's staff are kept the same all these years. Taxes are also absorbed.
After so many moons, the food still tasted right with a 'SG' flavour lingering around...
Char siu ramen was good and affordable. Will go again as restaurant is clean and the area is very nice.
But do note will need to queue if you come after 7pm.
Ambience is okay, prices are reasonable. But I won't recommend the steaks. Ordered a medium well but turned out difficult to chew and didn't have much flavour.
The renovated Han's is a very nice place. All the staff are dedicated to their job. It's a nice place to eat and meet friends.
It was a good experience, The food was good and the atmosphere was great. Worth eating at the place.
Old label which could withstand the various passing fads. Enjoyed their ever popular dishes of bacon fried rice, hor fun with piping hot strong coffee on a cool rainy day. Yummy 😋
Good variety of foods, nice ambient with indoor or outdoor seating. Great for night time supper place. The only downside is parking place is limited and lesser with current ongoing construction in the neighborhood
Always like the silver fish fried rice at Hans. This outlet is so close to the MRT. Bright and clean inside. Friendly staffs. I will sure be back again.
It's a 24hr eatery for those sleepless souls. Extensive menu selling anything from pastries to Asian cruisines to western meals. But don't expect anything fanciful. Good thing the prices are wallet friendly.
Tasty authentic traditionally made nonya kueh. Corporate video gave a neat overview of the dedicated people who painstakingly prepare whole hearted good food, and at the same time preserving their age old tried and tested recipe
A nice place to get a simple freshly prepared meal and drinks. A wide range of meals - Asian and Western including sandwiches and Western breakfast fare. Broadcasts EPL football matches during match days.
Good casual place for meal and catching up. I like the beef hot fun but not the fish and chips. Those who drive may park at the private estate.
My family & I like to have dinner here cause is not too crowded & space of this place is big. Foods are delicious & staffs are really nice..👍👍👍👍 only parking is abit tough cause no carpark at this place. 😊
Great place to have a great variety of food. Spoil for choices every visit. Near Springfield MRT Station, great place to catch up with friends and relax over a good meal.
Nice cozy place to have a quick makan, reasonably price.
Good food. Great service, staffs are friendly with kids. Price $$. But very difficult to get parking lot
This outlet is unique and has grown over the past 20 years. A good place to have some friendly drinks, snacks or just chill.
Nice food and ambience! And the location is next to Springleaf MRT station.
24/7 restaurant good place for late night gathering, not enough place for parking and lack of staff and self service kiosk 1/3 is spoilt. Can be improved.
Compared to other branches the only issue with this branch along upper Thomson road is accessibility. But it'll soon change once the mrt station outside is ready.
4 stars Hotel. Less l1 star due to the cashier shows inpatience when serving. Other than that the food are good .
Home grown cafe. I normally would go for their set meals which are served till 10pm only. Thereafter, its being charged at Ala carte items
Hmmmm..... The food is fit for consumption. But I think at this price point, you do have better choices.
Food was inexpensive. Nice environment. Service was great.
Convenience, foods and drinks are nice. Good services and I like.
I may be bias, but it seems this particular Han's outlet serve more tasty food compared to other outlets.....
Nice place to dine and good service but the dragging sound of chairs is a bit annoying.
Please go and try it yourself and you will know what I meant
Food is as good as any Hans but the aircon is always very hot and barely tolerable
Bacon fried rice was good and service crew was attentive to my request.
24hour joint to satisfy your midnight munchies. Great for supper!
Nice quiet spot for afternoon tea. Not much crowd.
Always love the friendly indoor atmosphere at this place (:
The Korean restaurant is a place we often visit. Although this place has been affected by the subway project recently, it should be a lively place in the future. I once saw the traffic police come to copy the license plates of vehicles parked on the road. In this area Leaders should know that they open shops and restaurants without building parking lots for customers. Isn't that a contradiction?
I suggest painting parking spaces on springleaf road so that regular customers like us can eat with peace of mind.
It is commendable that the first menu is slightly higher than other restaurants of the same restaurant, but the quality is really higher😋
If you want to have breakfast, this is a good choice and the environment is good
I like the 24 hours here and the delicious food.
