I came to strawberry shortcake late in life, but now they are one of my favourite cakes. The strawberry shortcake here is ok. Fluffy sponge, nicely sweetened cream (a little to heavy for me), and nice looking strawberries (a little too tart for liking). Nice to have cake and coffee while watching the hustle and bustle of a busy centre

Bad thing about Henri Charpentier is that you'll need to order at least an item per person. And there's limited seating, with the high chairs being on the uncomfortable side. However, their blackforest cake is pretty decent. And their cheesecake isn't bad either. The blackforest cake is moist and has enough flavour from the sponge and the blueberries, though no rum flavour in it. Icing is a tad sweet, but still acceptable. The cheesecake is alright, with the cheese not being too thick or dense, but not light and fluffy either. Maybe they could make the base of the cheesecake a little thicker or crunchier. The only thing I'll really say sucks is the limited seating and the uncomfortable high chairs facing the crowd. Otherwise, it's on the pricey side, so I definitely wouldn't be a regular here (cakes aren't nice enough to pull me back).

A little draw back is that, the cheese cake is very much a cream cake. Overall, the cakes are really tasty. Both hot and cold tea came sugarless, great!

The mille crepe' creme is light but flavourful. It is not as greasy as others. The outer layer of the original financier is crispy. The financier is not to buttery so it is a good match for coffee. The soft tiramisu is also outstanding, especially the coffee permeated core.

The strawberry mousse cake is really good and the staff did a good job of including candle and piece of chocolate with happy birthday words. It just didn’t survive the grab ride and looks pretty crushed. But it’s ok and it’s really delicious. :)

Love the cheesecake which is light but flavourful. Tiramisu is a delicate blend of alcohol and coffee. Financiers are crisp on the outside and buttery inside. The iced tea is a nice surprise and perfect compliment to these delightful pastries.

Best cheesecake ever. Their iced teas are also refreshing and a good complement to the cakes, but what made our experience here even sweeter were the wonderful staff Kenneth and Berly. They made us feel so welcome even though we came close to closing time. They also chatted with us about dogs, tattoos and earrings -- random stuff but it's really the little things that really count. So, so happy with the food and service.

Fancy store right in front of Tangs. Quite a pricey dessert to have but quality is on point. Cake is light and cheese-y. Financier has a crusty light sugar coating that is done to perfection. A must have to be paired with a bold robust coffee!

Tried the lemon meringue tart and double fromage cheesecake for the first time today with iced tea and Americano. Paid $26.10. The lemon tart is creamy and tart, not too sweet while the cheesecake is creamy and not too light. Drinks were a failure though. My iced tea tasted like ice water, while the Americano was passable at best. Was difficult to eat with the plastic forks provided. Next time will just takeaway the cakes and have them at Starbucks or some other place that serves nicer drinks.

Love, Love, Love the Financier - very delicious! It's about expensive, but my son loves it. We always swing by the store whenever we are at Vivo. However, last night we purchased a pack of 6 financiers, it was not warm as the usual - probably it was close to closing time.

Have my best cheesecake here and definitely worth the price 🥰 Forget to take the picture itself of the cheesecake because it was too delicious 🤭

Financiers taste like mini size sponge cake. Black Forest v sour. Double cheese cake is v sweet.

The cheesecake was good. Not too sweet. But is quite pricy for just a small cake.

Cashier was reluctant to serve us (dine in). When asked if it’s closing time she wouldn’t say and looked unhappy as she rang us up. Strange though as it wasn’t even 8.45pm yet. Website indicate closing hour as 9.30pm. Overall tea/coffee wasn’t great, other vendor serves better ones. The crepe cake was nice. Can’t recall why they couldn’t sell us bottled water but was okay to give tap water for 50 cents.

Cake is pretty pricey but it is so worth it. Their cheesecake and crepe is literally my fav 😍 the caffe latte is good too 👍 service has always been up to standard. always patronise this outlet whenever I'm in the area. Intro-ed this to my friends and they enjoy the cake and comfortable atmosphere too. Perfect for a quiet break or a chit-chat session with friends.

lovely selection of cakes that were well balanced and perfect for afternoon tea

Takeaway 6 pcs of financiers for $15. Stored in a plastic cup, Bite size, smooth, buttery and moist. But is it worth $2.50? Maybe? if you feel like trying. 4.5 for the quality, 3 for the price. 3.5 star in total.

always wanted to try their double cheese cake ever since i saw it in great world mall. but then, always need to count my calories. ytd my b'day so no more excuses. very light. like japanese cheese cake. i preferred the heavier and flavourful western ones. latte not great either. seemed diluted and paled in comparison to the ones i had at 'clueless goat'. no wonder rating not great due to the price. ytd the svc staff, filipino most likely, quite good though. seating very limited and smack in the middle of busy thoroughfare.

The Cafe sell the Best Double Cheesecake. It has Breadcrumbs sprinkled with Gold Flakes and the Cheese are Mascaprone, Cream Cheese and Fresh Milk is added to enhance the flavour. It also sell the Finest Gryphon Teas such as "Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Chamomile Lemon, etc.
