Tried so many Mala but still~ Their Pork belly, Shrimp and TASTE are SO ADDICTING 😭❤ We keep coming back at least 1-2x a month despite not living nearby! Worth it! Love it!

The Mala Xiang Guo here was delicious and reasonably priced. Paid around $16 for three person portion of food, really subjective to how much you order haha. However, the coffeeshop can get pretty crowded during lunch hours.

i’m late to the MLXG game and 85% of the customers in this kopitiam eats from joyful palace. the MLXG’s flavour is great, price is abit on the higher side and we aren’t able to see the price for each item (lady just keys in all the price and gives final amount - which is surprisingly high). i will not order the la zi ji, even though the flavor is good, the chicken pieces have bones, very old oil is used and the parts just don’t feel very meaty. i tried to cancel the order right after i ordered when i asked the cashier if there are bones, she said yes and cannot cancel the order because she has already keyed into the POS (not flexible). but overall, if one has MLXG craving and live in the west, this is not a bad alternative. just remember, don’t waste money on LZJ.

A good place if you are craving for some mala xiang guo. Right balance of spiciness and numbness, fragrant smell from it. Have been here for the past year and the quality and taste of it has not changed a bit. Recommended!
