I am never coming here again. Service is super duper slow. The staff did tell me that I had to wait but didn't tell me how long. We ended up waiting for 50 mins for lunch. 50 mins!!!! It's too long a wait for 2 plates of hor fun and 3 drinks.
The food is tasty but not-50-mins-wait tasty.
Staff were decently polite. But their flow has to improve. Or at the very least give people a heads up on the wait time. Not just "you have to wait."
Nice wanton and chicken mushroom mee and fish soup. Noodles were springy but a little too drenched with the sauce. Do try their tomato fish soup which is really tangy and full of shredded cabbage. Fried fish comes separately so you can dip in the soup without the fish being too soggy. Come outside lunch hours to avoid a long queue.
Best food ever! I have been to kipo many times and their fried fish soup is the bomb! Other food that are my favourite will be the chicken chop noodle, sambal fried rice and chicken wings. Super good food. It might take long if there is a queue as they are still a relatively small store.
Came to this hidden spot in Odeon Katong which was highly recommended - wow!
Ordered the Crispy Fish w/ Milk Soup and Chicken Cutlet Noodles (extra spicy). 😋 I'll be back!
nice!
There is a plethora of food choices; everything from snacks, rice dishes to noodles!
This is old school tze char at a very old shopping mall (which has very low patronage other than an Church and some small shops). Dining during lunch hours is crazy, expect to queue 20-30mins just to order and wait 30mins to 45mins for the food to arrive.
Sadly, the landlord has increased the rental and the shop will be due to close down by end Jan 2024. The lady boss/cook has also health issues and may not choose to open up elsewhere. Enjoy it while it last!
The food here is the best !! Delicious& they are very generous with the ingredients. I had fish slice thick beehoon soup . The fish fillet was incredible huge in size and taste so good ..
Love the springy, "QQ" wanton mee, however it will only be springy if you dine-in..one of my favourites in Singapore! They also have nice chicken wings and pork cutlet.
Another hidden gem in Katong. Hearty, flavorful with wok-hei, very reasonably priced and a wide selection to boot.
Be prepared to wait. Gave them my order before heading off to run some errands. Lots of regulars it seems. And after today, it's got itself one more fan :)
Literally one of the best and high value restaurant in Singapore ! Highly recommend!
the best 小炒 in the katong area! get their fried fish soup with rice & dry wanton mee. absolutely delicious!
It's a pretty hidden place, but has lots of variety. Wanton Mee was boring though... Only seemed to have chili in the noodles.
Good local food. Very extensive menu but I enjoy their fried fish slices noodles most.
The choices of home style cooked food is quite a lot. Definitely worth a few more visits to try out all those caught my eyes.
A decent Pork cutlet noodles.
Love it here. My favorite shrimp paste chicken wings!
Amazing fried fish soup
Yummy
This shop is open for a limited time from morning until late afternoon in a mall that is almost a church facility🏬. Only when the shop is open, they set up tables in a part of the shopping mall. Please note that the shop is in a hard-to-find location😐 Also, please note that it is closed on Sundays and Mondays🫠
After ordering, you receive a call bell and wait for a while. It takes a little time, but it's worth the wait! The cutlet is deep-fried and piping hot, and the meat is tender. The fish soup has no fishy smell at all, so you can eat as much as you want. The soup is also uniquely seasoned with a little cooking sake? It seems to be expensive😋I was very satisfied with the attention to taste and the preparation in every dish. Thank you for the meal! 🙏
Although it just opened, it gets quite busy during lunch time. Today's special, chicken curry, was delicious. It pairs perfectly with bread! The seasoning is neither too light nor too strong.
A small local snack shop, the food is colorful, delicious and reasonably priced.
