Reviews of Kopi 1930
3 stars because the only positive thing about my experience was the older gentleman who served us with great and thoughtful service. Everyone else was rude and this place feels more like a quick service food kiosk. The sound is terrible as they pack the tables way too close together and their kitchen is very noisy, with buzzer sounds and more
Food was okay
Love the place and great service with our 8 months old baby. Kopi and teh are good 👍🏻 food is average(warm but not hot) and bread/toast is below average. The quality of bread is not so good and not toasted thoroughly. Only surface of the bread is toasted. Inside of the bun was cold. Eggs not fresh but very good service by staff to have it replaced once we brought up the issue.
Wallet-friendly traditional Nanyang breakfast and kopi café in a beautiful heritage building. The place is airy and bright, with retro decor and minimalist interior design.
The Fruit Rojak had a variety of different fruits (guava, mango etc) and veggies doused in a thick, sweet & salty peanut sauce. Really generous portions at $9.9++!
They also have pretty good kopi for as low as $2++, and its pretty good for its price point.
Overall, if you’re looking for a decent nanyang breakfast in a lovely, more upscale setting, this is a great pick!
If you're looking to elevate your local food experience, this restaurant takes it to the next level! For just a dollar or two more than what I usually spend at Toast Box, I got to indulge in a unique twist on our beloved local breakfast. The flavors are extraordinary, and everything is best served hot – you'll know what I mean when you taste it!
This place truly has a Michelin-level flair, both in taste and presentation. And don't forget to freshen up in their thoughtfully designed restroom before you head out. Every detail here is beautifully considered. Highly recommend! #meerebus #yummy
Nestled in a charming heritage building along Wilkie Road is a cafe serving traditional Nanyang food with great vibes! Lighting is on point and service is warm. Contrary to the previous reviews, I felt the food was prepared quickly and we did not wait long. I really enjoyed the prawn paste chicken, mee siam and toast! Highly recommended!
P.S. enjoy a short walk along Niven Road to appreciate the conservation houses after!
Pleasantly surprised. Food and drink quality is better than I expected- sambal prawn petai with rice ($10.80) was a flavour bomb with juicy succulent prawns and a wholesome homemade taste. The interior decor is warm, well spaced. Windows make the place nice to sit in and enjoy views outside while still being private and comfortable. Very satisfying visit.
Would be perfect if the tables were wiped down as opposed to the usual toastbox-esque sticky table experience - but otherwise, it’s a beautiful, slightly more luxe local food stop well worth the price point :)
If you like cafe hopping but tire of the usual avo toast, come here instead. The kaya toast, could be a bit more toasted but the richness of the kaya made up for it.
I got the chicken with rice. The chicken was spicy with a good kick, so best to have it with the rice.
A kopitiam in a Michelin setting, very simple menu, well-cooked food!
Great ambience, less noisy than the cafe next door and much better natural light! Food is good price for such an expensive area, will definitely stop by again for a quick refresher. Laksa was not bad
Ordered peanut toast set with eggs and kopi o less sugar. White bread was nicely toasted and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Comfortable ambience with great customer service - a must try in the neighbourhood ❤️
Very nice and cozy, the staff is friendly and the food delicious with affordable prices!!!
We are regular customer of Kopi 1930. This morning during our breakfast, we noticed that the Kaya butter toast and the butter sugar toast are cold? Can it be due to the air con?
