Reviews of LUNA
Superb cake offerings at luna. Aesthetically pleasing + delicious cakes that comes with a hefty price tag. Came late evening and these cakes were left. Wanted to try other flavours but most were sold out. Coffee is not available during our time of visit so that was a bummer!
The yuzu flavour cake was by far the best flavour, preferred the most amongst my group of friends. It was refreshing and not overly tart. My personal favourite too! 😎
Chocolate ganache and chocolate used were defo high quality, it was rich and smooth! The salted caramel blended so well with the bitterness of chocolate. Every flavour profile harmonised perfectly. The biscuit base was so yum too!
Berry tart was cute and tofu cake was so delicate. Very interesting concept, just felt flavour profile was okay for these 2.
Overall, the cakes sweetness was not overwhelming and we'll definitely be back of the orh nee cake! 😍
Celebrated their 3rd anniversary! Queued 1.5 hours to get in but the matcha cake and chocolate tart that we wanted to try ran out 🥲
𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙮
- Flavours were quite subtle, orange jelly could be slightly more citrusy.
- Very smooth earl grey creme and orange curd, the buttery crust gave a contrasting crunch to the creaminess. [7/10]
𝙊𝙧𝙝 𝙣𝙚𝙚
- Smooth yam paste in between vanilla sponge layers topped with desiccated coconut.
- Light on the palette, taro paste was prominent and not too sweet, definitely for yam lovers! [8/10]
𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙡𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮
- Rich dark chocolate mousse cut the tanginess of the raspberry cremeux and sweetness of the hazelnut crunch!
- Dacquoise base was like a biscuit that gave a nutty crisp. [7.5/10]
𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩
- Beautiful layers of mango sponge, mango cremeux, pistachio ganache, coconut mousse and I liked the crisp from the white chocolate feuilletine base.
- Passionfruit curd was too tart for my liking but my friend loved it! [6.5/10]
𝙇𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙮𝙪𝙯𝙪
- Lychee mousse was thick and too cloying for me but the vanilla yuzu curd was refreshing!
- Taste of matcha ganache was almost absent though. [5/10]
𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙖 ($5.50)
- Flavour was very pronounced with a floral black tea aroma.
- Surprisingly enjoyed it despite not a huge fan of drinks. [8.5/10]

Other than their famous orh nee cake, Luna on Amoy Street is a haven for dessert lovers, but recently, their handcrafted bon bons have stolen the show! These bite-sized treats are not just adorable to look at, but they pack a serious flavor punch.
Luna boasts nine different bon bon flavors, so there's something to satisfy every craving. Whether you're a die-hard chocolate fan or enjoy fruity surprises, their selection is sure to impress.
I got a bunch for my business partners and the bon bons were just too pretty to be consumed.
Here's what makes Luna's bon bons so special:
Variety: With nine unique flavors, you can embark on a delightful flavor adventure, trying a new one each time you visit.
Quality Ingredients: Luna uses high-quality ingredients to ensure the best possible taste and texture.
Beautiful Presentation: These bon bons are little works of art, making them a perfect treat to share with friends or indulge in for a personal moment of joy.
If you're looking for a decadent and delightful treat in the Amoy Street area, Luna's bon bons are a must-try. You might even find yourself going back for more to try every single flavor!
I recently ordered from Luna Cake Shop for an office tea break, and it was a hit with everyone! The cakes were delicious, and the best part is their constantly changing flavors. It keeps things exciting and fresh. Highly recommend for any event or just to treat yourself!
Shared the orh nee cake and Luna cake with my colleagues. Cakes were decent but nothing to shout about - the orh nee cake was pretty tough to slice through, unlike the usual fluffy and light ones I eat, but I appreciate that it wasn't so sweet.
Coffee was good - I had the roasted almond latte and it was fragrant. Cosy and comfortable atmosphere. Service was OK.
At Luna, there is a minimalistic theme running throughout the cafe with nature decor, clean design and furnishing, completed with soft jazz music in the background, making it a really aesthetic place to take photos with your family and friends.
Aside from the interior, the cakes were definitely up my alley as well. I went straight for the Luna 2.0, which was arguably the most aesthetic cake of the lot with its glistening dark chocolate ganache layer, coupled with salted caramel and hazelnuts as its core. The next runner up would have to be the Gula Melakaya. Despite being the most quaint looking of them all, it was really soft and fluffy, and complemented well with the latte I ordered.
Another Instagram worthy one would be the Tart Au Tropicale, a pineapple tart with coconut mousse on the top. I felt that the crust gave a good bite to the tart and was refreshing to taste. However, I would have better preferred it to be more sour and tangy. All in all, I definitely would head back to try their seasonal selections again !
Dined in once before CB and had such a good experience! Had a coffee with the cheddar cheese cake which was so fluffy and light. The cafe is clean, filled with natural light and tastefully furnished. Staff was friendly and attentive. Ordered delivery a few more times and they always delivered on time and taste is consistent 😊
Lovely ambience, good service and beautiful tarts. My favourite is the PB Goma tart and pistachio raspberry tart. Weekday day time is the best time to come when it’s not too crowded! Perfect with a cup of coffee… enjoy!!
Delicious cakes, friendly staffs, great ambience. What more to ask for? Will definitely come back here again!
I was searching for cakes/ tarts for my sister's birthday when I chanced on luna.sg. I must say it has been a pleasant surprise! To be honest I was abit sceptical initially because I wasn't sure if aesthetics == taste. But man I was blown away from the start :) from the site and design of the cake, I can see their attention to details and care for it. I liked how the description of the desserts and packaging was quirky, very interesting. My sister was very excited to try them... with every bite of the matcha opera cake she did a little dance haha.
Matcha Opera: Very light, fluffy texture with a surprisingly rich matcha taste. It wasn't too sweet nor bitter! Keeps you wanting for more :)
Yuzu Meringue Cheese: Interesting concept. I actually don't like lemon/ lime tarts because they can be too sour. So it was really really interesting how they replaced it with yuzu combined into the cheese base. Abit of a jelly consistency, it's very light and refreshing. It was a hit with my family!
Goma x PB tart: Interesting combination! Peanut butter can be a very strong flavour but for this tart, it was actually very well balanced and creamy. Every bite taken has hints of both the black sesame and peanut butter
Wild Strawberry Earlgrey: This was the tart everyone looked forward to from the picture but honestly, it was the most disappointing to us haha. Overall it felt like eating a bland tart for this one. Could no taste much from the earlgrey even though the strawberry helped abit.
Hojicha Kohi: I think this is my favourite, there are stages of flavours I go through when I ate this. First the earthy flavours of the hojicha then the distinct rich coffee notes. Very rich deep flavours. It was really fun to eat this with tea on the side.
Pistachio Raspberry: This is actually my dad's favourite. It's very interesting how the jelly pairs with the pistachio, very light and nutty :) defo will get this for him again
Hope the lychee mint, strawberry elderflower and Tarte au Tropicale is open for order! Can't wait to get them for my siblings to try :) Thank you for your hardwork, I look forward to your future creations
Bought this at Amoy street for the second time. The standard was still the same as the last I visited them. The cheesecake and the mint chocolate is a must try and they are personal favourite.
Love the signature cakes here and it tastes as good as it looks. Coffee was great too!! Staff were friendly and efficient.
Luna makes some of the best cakes I've ever tasted. Every cake I've had from there has been delicious—moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend if you're looking for top-notch cakes!
Great place to get soft and fluffy cakes! However do avoid visiting this place during lunch hour as waiting time is quite long due to long queue. The taro cake is quite unique comes with chunks of taro bits. Lemon yuzu meringue cake have a distinct yuzu flavour and a good balance of sweet and sourness (more towards sweet side). If you're just getting one or two slice of cake, do carry the box with caution. The cakes are really soft and it can easily topple in the box. Will definitely go back to try out other flavors!
I'm usually not big on cakes because of the sugar, but Luna cake is something else! Its bold and innovative design is truly impressive. I can't wait to enjoy it just as it is and share this delicious treat with my friends.
This is a good place if you have some time to kill in the evening, because everywhere else in the vicinity needed a booking. The desserts are exquisitely made and not too rich nor heavy. Cafe ambience was nice - clean-cut, simple and restful. While the service was fast, the attitude was poor. The two staff looked really unhappy and impatient, not a single smile when they served us or other customers as they grudgingly pointed us in the direction of our table or gave us the food. It really doesn't quite match up with the style of the ambience and food, nor the price we paid. Wouldn't be back again unless I have no other options.
Did the F1 event with the team from Luna, awesome bunch of group. Interesting varieties of cakes and tasted great. Looking forward to visit their retail stores.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm. There were tables available.
I was advised about the 70mins dining time. Cakes were honestly not too bad, tried the matcha opera and a blood orange earl grey tart. My only gripe would be the type of plate used.
It was difficult to cut a rectangular cake on a round plate. The cake stand did not fit well on the plate and it can be a mess to eat.
Their service is just ok. A little abrupt and not the friendliest but I’ll return to try the other cakes as their flavours are pretty interesting!
Ordered an orh nee cake for my mother's birthday last week. Collection at Joo Chiat outlet was smooth and prompt.
The cake did not disappoint. It was a pretty cake, and it tasted as good as it looked. The cream was fresh and light, with mild hint of dessicated coconut.
In between the fluffy sponge were 2 layers of orh nee. The orh nee filling was a bit too firm and compressed, would have like it to be softer. Great thing was the cake was less sweet compared to the usual, hence it's really suitable for elderlys and the health conscious. It's a great choice for special occasions, will definitely order again!
ps: my photos arent doing justice to the cake. It definitely looks better in real😅
This is my first visit to Luna. When I first stepped in, I’m amazed by the deco and ambiance of this place. I am seduced by the fresh aroma of freshly brewed coffee and wide selection of daily baked cakes to choose from. Place is kids friendly and they did not thrift on their sound system as they are using high end devialet speakers which emphasizes on delivering a conducive place to dine in. To add on, there are ample of parking spaces outside the shop as well!
Service: 8/10
Ambience: 7/10
Location: 7/10
Food: 7/10
Damage: $30 for 2 pax
Ordered 2 ice coffees and 2 cakes. Truffle chocolate cake was heavy and rich. Sesame mochi roll was surprisingly good, have not tasted a roll this unique in awhile. Most of their cakes were sold out by 3pm. Coffee was average. There are limited seats in this cafe so we were placed on a waiting list when entered, but waited only 5mins. Staff was friendly and polite. Overall we stumbled upon a nice hideout. Would gadly return anytime.
The passionfruit one is delightful, with a freshness taste of passionfruit makes it is more enjoyable to eat.
The peach one is not to my liking. The cheesecake base could be better.
Chill cafe along the lanes occupied by restaurants. Would be a great stop for some sweetness after meals.
Aromatic flat white and nice deco.
had the orh nee cake. cake could be fluffier. orh nee layers were not too sweet, mild in flavour, but texture wise, a bit "hard" and doesn't really go well with the fluffy whipped cream and softer cake layers. white chocolate pebbles provided a nice crunch. overall a decent cake but nothing to rave about. the coffee however, was really good, really bright and leaves a chocolatey aftertaste in the mouth.
cake was honestly a 6.5/10 but it's probably still worth trying their other signature desserts.
Ordered this via delivery for a friend's birthday, the website only accepts paynow payment and delivery orders are exclusively only acceptable through the website. The christmas cake was beautiful and delightful: with triple layer chocolate and hazelnut, with a biscuit base. It is, however, too pricey for what it offers. Recommended only for special occasions.
Ordered cakes and entremets a couple of times for delivery. Although there was an incident where the tart cracked, they were prompt to investigate and offer a make up item. Great service! Will purchase again.
Good environment
Good room temperature..
Good music 🎶
Best cake🍰
So so for the long black ice☕️
If you more like cake than coffee then this is the place for you..
Overall is a good cafe star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ not full because of the coffee..
Amazing taste and texture! Highly recommend the mango flavour.
Lovely little cafe serving creative cakes. Chanced upon this while I was out searching for cool creative bakes in Amoy Street for a last minute dinner. Bought their chocolate opera, their peach cake and the goma and peanut butter cake.
The cakes were lovely however the goma and peanut butter cake blew me out of the water. The cake was light, depth of the goma, combined with a touch of savoury from the peanut butter was the perfect combination for a delicious cake.
I returned after many weeks and while I was in the neighborhood searching for a slice of the goma PB cake. Quality was consistently superb. Would return again!
Amazing ambience and great cakes!
Service was great as well, friendly staff!
Really enjoyed my time here, had the strawberry and elderflower cake, really recommend it for anyone who likes strawberry cakes :)
bought the Matcha White Chocolate whole cake for the family after trying it in the cafe. Cake was moist and flavourful. The slightly bitter matcha powder on top balance out the sweetness and it speaks a lot when the uncle who doesnt usually eat cake, had two slices of it. Definitely one of my fav matcha cake.
I ordered the orh nee cake and it really is nice, not overwhelming sweet and taste truly orh nee texture. Not those pastry where they wrote orh nee but the mix their orh nee with whip cream. The cream that was used to decorate the cake is light cream so it does not feel so heavy
I find it silly that even for takeaways, you have to queue with those dining in; what was supposed to be a 2 minute affair became a torturous 30 min wait under the hot sun. Anyways, food-wise the orh nee cake ($8) was not very impressive; orh nee tasted bland and was overpowered by the pandan flavoring from either the chiffon or cream. The cream frosting itself was very dense(much like the low qual cream from neighborhood bakeries) and added to the heavy texture and overall jelak-ness.
The matcha opera ($8) which was a new item was really good though. The different layers of mousse, ganache and sponge harmonized perfectly and was infused with the rich earthy taste of matcha. Perfect for those who don’t really like their sweets too sweet.
Nice place to chill at especially in this hot sweltering heat. Their orh nee cake was something special as you don't find it often outside. Texture of the cake is soft and fluffy. Choco mouse cake and ice latte is good too.
Very interesting selection of beautifully crafted cakes. Their best-seller - the local-inspired Orh Nee (Teochew sweet yam paste) cake - is a safe bet to delight.
Cosy place, tasty cake, nice to chillax.. Very spacious as well good for gathering. Ordered the lime lemongrass cheesecake, super nice! Matcha lover should try the Matcha opera! 👍
Love the ambience and deco! Can be quite crowded at times but good customer service. Luna 2.0 and yuzu meringue are awesome! They have one of the better orh nee cakes too. Good as gifts as well ☺️
Second time at this place. Nice place with great vibes to chill to have afternoon tea and hide away from the sun. The pistachio raspberry tasted amazingly fragrant with the Chantilly cream. The luna 2.0 is pretty rich and might appeal to dark chocolate fans, its well balanced and not overly bitter. Dont mind having this as my birthday cake. Try the melon tea! Staff was nice to us when we requested for a refill for our tea.
They have a wonderful assortment of cakes which are delicious and reasonably priced. Nice place to chill with friends.
super delicious cakes and cute presentation! would definitely recommend to friends and even get their whole cake for different occasions💯
Fancy cakes and patisserie. Coffee is so so. Perhaps my standard is too high.
Ate: GOMA x PB (6/10); Pistachio Tart (9/10); Flat White (7/10)
GOMA x PB: Would say this is an acquired taste. Didn’t think the peanut butter went well with the rest of the cake but overall the texture of the cake was nice.
Pistachio Tart: Loved this! Texture was good and Ube (?) paired well.
Flat White: nice latte art, liked it if it was warmer.
Ambience is lovely too; went on a late afternoon on Sat and there was no long queue though it was consistently full house. Would drop by again for a casual tea and coffee; but wouldn’t rly queue for it.
Amazing cakes . Especially love the delectable sweet treats we had ! 5/5 will definitely return . Ps - had a short talk with owner - very passionate about the products .
Good Coffee
Good Music
Perfect place for a chat up session and good atmosphere.
Pretty Ambience and Pretty Cakes
Friendly crews!
Their coffee was really good, well extracted and milk was foamed to the correct consistency. I couldn’t try their cakes as I was informed the cakes were not Vegetarian friendly
This orh nee cake is one of the best I have ever tried. For one that hates coconut and yam, I actually enjoyed this. The taste of this cake is exceptional and a must try. The service is pretty good too and filled with attractive people ;)
Went over for a short friend gathering. Try almost all of the cakes over there. Personally I feel Top 3 better ones is their Matcha whitechocolate, Yuzu Cheese, Vanilla cheddar cheese. Their garlic bun is very nice. Their mentaiko is not bad. My friend say is slightly toward the salty side. Nice place for gathering, limited space during the Covid. Avoid peak hours. Do be reminded if ordering on the tea, not all is refillable even though the counter staff said is refillable.
The Goma PB cake was lovely. $10.60 per slice. Abit on the higher price point but worth the try.
Awesome yummy cake
Hojicha tiramisu
Chocolate
Yuzu meringue best
Hot chocolate orange
Small place abit cram
aesthetic looking desserts paired with decent drinks! the orh nee cake is a must try! will be back to try the rest of the desserts :)
Aesthetic looking cakes that are not overly sweet. Always looking forward to their seasonal cakes.
Such a relaxing cafe. After we were in, none of us wanted to go back to the office .
I ordered the Gomo x PB cake online for my mother's birthday. Even though I missed the cut-off time for next-day collection by 20 minutes, the staff were very accommodating, and quick to respond to my request for next-day collection.
The cake looked beautiful and came with a metal candle that can be reused for future celebrations. The texture of the Goma cream was extremely light, and contrasted with the thicker yet smooth texture of the peanut butter. Personally, we were expecting and would like the cake to have more crunch, as the texture of all the elements in the cake was quite soft overall.
The taste of the Goma was subtle and light, and in contrast, the taste of the peanut butter was strong. We would have liked a stronger and roaster Goma taste with a less overpowering peanut butter taste, but for those who enjoy a lighter Goma taste, this is the cake for you.
Always order their whole cakes for birthday celebrations. Very delicious.
Try orh nee cake and matcha opera
Orh nee cake: love the vanilla cake with perfect coconut combination
matcha opera: so matcha~~
Cake was not bad. Coffee too. Cozy atmosphere to chill with friends. Love the IKEA trays. 👌🏻
Ordered the goma x pb and hojicha tarts through delivery, received them on time as requested and the tarts were very yummy, especially the peanut butter one! 😋😋
Delicate cakes which taste good, complimented with a nice ambience.
I personally think that their matcha cake is the best I have eaten but the shop lacks warm service. Kinda of snobbish. Coffee was well made. Would have my dessert n coffee to go next round.
Delicious tarts and cakes! Nice place to chill as well
I love ordering cakes from them. Price is reasonable and taste is good. Highly recommend this for takeaway and delivery
Delicious cakes, nice place for simple gatherings. Staff are friendly and approachable.
Nice food especially the hojicha & coffe tart it not really sweet and the taste is great. Tea lover Must try
Roasted almond latte was lit
Robust shot with strong almond flavourful
While honey yogurt cake was... tasted rather like a skincare product with lemon extract in it
A big no
Yam is pretty solid n not too sweet 👍did takeaway so that I didn't have to wait.
Very nice staff and the cake is delicious.
I found this coffee by accident while walking through amoy street.
Luna
The price is very reasonable, and the cheesecake has a lot of citric acid. If you like sourness, you must try it!
I ordered flat white coffee and the price was 5.5.
The time limit for dine-in is 75 minutes.
When I arrived at 4 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon, there were still many people sitting and chatting inside.
