Hidden gem - highly recommend everyone to try:) The food is really special+tasty and the service is amazing! I really like the steamed Mongolian Beef Dumplings and the eastern European Borscht soup. Those are 2 dishes are must-try! The Hungarian Gulyash and Eastern Kotlet are tasty too.
There are some other dishes that require advance booking (I would love to come back and try those dishes. They are very authentic and exquisite). I am so glad that I chanced upon this lovely cafe and get to experience their amazing culture.
My friend has shared with me on this cafe to eat homey Mongolian food. Glad I finally get a chance to eat with my colleagues. It is hidden away from the busy cbd district at a corner. The cafe is cozy and near. It is run by a daughter and mom who are welcoming. They serve Brazilian coffee bean coffee. They serve both Russian and Mongolian food. Do note that for Mongolian food, it takes around 20mins to be ready. We had the Russian food and the khuurshur to take away. :) the food is homey and good portion for me and not too full. I miss the Mongolian food and the children who I visited for mission trip. Hence it kinda of make me miss them more when I eat this homey food. Mongolian food are pretty close to the Russian food.
First(?) Mongolian restaurant in Singapore.
Had Gulyash + Borscht Soup. They were alright.
Gulyash came warm, and not hot. Also got the Mongolian milk tea, which tasted like diluted milk. They also just normal milk, so I question if it's really worth $4.
Service was slow, but poor cashier/waitress. She was all alone. Probably manageable for her, but it sure slowed things down for the kitchen...
Didn't get to try actual Mongolian food, so may come back and try it and change the rating.
Met up with some friends for a series of uncommon offerings of Eastern European Cuisines and East Asian Cuisines in a local cafe.
Tried Mongolian Meatball Soup + Russian Potato Salad + Beef Pastry + Hungarian Goulash + Mongolian Dumplings + Russian Kotlet + Waffle w Ice Cream + Affogato
Operators are of East Asian descent which is why the presentations and taste are pretty authentic yet refined for local city dwellers. Generally not heavy tasting with the Goulash and Kotlet sets done up much like comprehensive meal sets.
Their versions of dumplings and pastries are very acceptable to local tastebuds.
Not a coffee drinker myself but folks with me were singing praises.
Advanced reservations may be needed for Mongolian menu items.
Deep red Ukraine Borscht for the next trip perhaps.
If you’re familiar with Eastern European or Northern Asian food, you’ll definitely enjoy this cafe! The dishes here all taste very fresh, ‘clean’ and flavourful. I should’ve taken a a picture!
Just do note to give this place a visit only if you’re not in a hurry for time. It’s a quaint ‘small’ cafe so service is slow but of quality. The food was well worth the wait for me.
amazing every time i come, great food and always great people at all of the events!
Healthy, hearty, homely! Mongolian food in the CBD area served by a wholesome mother/daughter duo!
Delicious Mongolian food. Had the Kotlet and Gulyash (they were so generous with the beef). Can’t wait to try dumplings!
(you have to preorder a day in advance)

Hidden jem Mongolian cafe
You can eat Mongolian cuisine in cafe style. This is a type of cuisine that is rarely seen in this country.
There aren't many menu items, but there are standard Mongolian foods such as borscht and piroshki.
Borscht has a lighter flavor than the authentic Mongolian version. There is also a Mongolian steamed yakisoba called tsoiwang.
Lunch is a one-plate meal, which may be just the right amount for women. The amount may not be enough for men.
In addition, they have a regular coffee menu, and the shop itself has a cute cafe atmosphere, so you can just stop by for a coffee break, even if you're not particular about Mongolian cuisine.
At first glance, the restaurant doesn't look like Mongolia at all, so unless you know about it, you might not realize that you can eat Mongolian cuisine.
I think it's a hidden gem.
It's next door to Mr. Takano (tentative).
I ordered Hungarian Goulash and waited for a long time. When the dish was served, the waiter told me that there was no rice and she replaced it with dumplings. I think I should have been asked in advance instead of changing it directly. I don't want to eat dumplings, and the dumplings here are really unpalatable and hard. Three small dumplings are not enough for a girl to eat. The mutton in Hungarian Goulash is minced and very small, so it is not recommended.
