Reviews of Red Ginger
My all time fav Nasi Pattaya. Another favourite food is mee goreng. Not forgetting the teh tarik making both perfect 👌 must try the sambal chili, it’s golden 👌 remember to order before 730pm best
Date of visit: Mon 15 July 2024
Time : 7.30 pm
Long time never been back here.
Ordered the Penang fried kway teow. Used to be $6.90 now costs $10.20.
Taste just as good. So is the tea.
Red Ginger has been at IMM for many years. They serve Malay food at reasonable prices and consistent quality. The beef is cooked till tender. Spent abt $12 per pax for our lunch which included teh-o and kueh. Besides mee-siam and mee-robus they also serve Chinese style noodles like hor-fun.
You have to queue to order and pay for your food.
My go to eatery for nasi padang, mee rebus and nasi pattaya with coffee and kueh lopez. Had nasi pattaya with kopi-c and bill was $12.90. Kueh ran out. Nasi Pattaya was bigger in portion than last time I ate. Probably to make customers “feel better” with the higher pricing. A good 15 min wait as there were quite some food delivery guys collecting ahead in the queue, who were not there when I ordered. Would help if they mentioned approximate waiting time. 3 prawns were of reasonable size. Fried rice was soggy and not fragrant. Sambal chilli great as usual and helped. Giving this a miss on my next visit. Soggy texture of fried rice spoilt to some extent what otherwise is a great item on their menu.
Have many of my friends who swears by Red Ginger's Soto Ayam, mee rebus, and Longtong. Finally, we tried all three and was glad we did. Portions were generous. Flavour authentic. Ingredients fresh.
Scored low on environment because of its location in the middle of so many eateries- and transient foot traffic of IMM.
Proof is when the lady boss of Wanchai HK restaurant on the third floor was spotted dining there alone.
Had takeaway. It’s about $8 per box for 2 veg and 1 meat. Food taste wise, it’s pretty good and consistent (have been ordering over the years)
Nice food. If wana order their chef cooked dishes (zi char), be prepared to wait awhile.
Prices can be steep for some as a cafe set up.
Ordered a Kampong Fried Rice. They have another version that uses Nasi Lemak rice to fry.
Try the Kampong fried rice. Ultra fragrant fried fried done to perfection topped with prawn n crispy fried chicken ! 很好吃! no kiddings. I kid u I got no money to earn. Nasi lemak a little spicy , also nice, so eat with more rice. Mee rebus also nice but spicy. Their beef fried rice smells like a Char Kway Teow fried rice, NICE ONE 👍😎
Delicious food, served piping hot. Had their chicken briyani, longtong and mee rebus. Taste good. During peak hours, queue can get a little long.
Very generous serving and full of flavour in the gravy. First time I see the rice cake is boiled before saving but would prefer a much hotter gravel.
A variety of local dishes. Should try their "Tahu Goreng" and "Bee Hoon Tom Yum". Delicious😋😋😋😋
one of the better malay food you'll find outside. always plated nicely. queue is always long. can be a bit pricey but it's worth it! uses basmati rice instead of regular rice so I guess it's so called healthier in that aspect
Price is quite ex for their zi char type. Even like fried rice also cost around $8. Food not very nice but average only. Their milk tea and coffee is always different standard. Asked for less sweet but turn out super sweet. The staff is very unfriendly.
One of the best nasi padang in town. IMM branch has better/fresher food than the rest
One of the better Nasi Padang around. Sambal is good. $7.20/- for 2 Veg + 1 Meat and $0.70/- for lemak rice.
My colleague took me to Red Ginger for lunch.i ordered Lontong n lopes. It was so delicioys. Later i ordered rendang n sambal goreng for takeaway i ate for dinner n it was so sedap.. The rumpah can taste the bawan, galangal, so fresh. I woukd recommend friends to eat here. No regrets.
Recommended halal food at IMM Mall.
Tasty food but waiting time a bit long, especially during peak hours 👍
Nice nasi padang. Introduced by a friend. The place was almost full house when we visited on a Thursday lunchtime
Food is very reasonably priced and yummy. Chicken drumstick is a bit hard. But everything else is pretty good; I like the belachan. Also filled up due to the good food and reasonable price.
Loved the lopis here.
The Teh Tarik also taste nice 👍
Huge portion, friendly uncles and auntiea behind the counter. Crowded during meals time. Price approx 5sgd onwards for typical Malay stall fares.
Tasty food. Enjoyed it. Will surely be back for more
A place for a quick meal. Has great tasting dishes that has its standards well maintained all these years. Value for money
Good food, terrible service; enough said.
Serve one of the best beef rendang in Singapore at very very reasonable price. Mesti cuba.
The coffee is horrible at IMM. Too thick lost of taste. When its cold ..more worst.
But thefood is thumbs up.
Nice food, good services, staff are well trained.
One of the best restaurants in IMM..
They primarily Server Malay food..
Kind of expensive compared to Kopitiam which is the same building..
Try the fried noodles here.
Taste very nice.
Well prepared by the Cook.
IMM parking a big problem sometimes peak hours parking a issue food at Red ginger is good 👍 okay but costly
Good place to get local foods. IMM has lots of parking space too
A comfortable place for good laksa and mee robus, not cheap
They selling nice food good to try. 👍
Loving the nasi padang, tasty chicken wings
The food ok lah quite nice and cheap too
Good family and friends gathering and meet up place
A lot of local variety. Price within $5 for lunch.
Powerful dish.
Good food...delicious
pricey
Here there is rice with a choice of side dishes, the portions are really big 😅 yes, even if you eat + drink minerals you can charge $10 too... but that's okay for a hungry stomach after a long commute, there are delicious lupiis here.
Malay food with the taste of Chinese food
