Reviews of The Cat Cafe - Bugis
Wonderful environment and wonderful staff. Was a bit unlucky to arrive right after their mealtime so didn't get the chance to interact with them as much as I hoped for. However the other cats were quite friendly and welcoming :)
3rd time here, and I decided to write a review. Price abit more expensive compared to some cat café. Some cat quiet some friendly but they have quite some cat so dun worry u cant pet them. Cozy and chill vibes, u can order drinks and food. My 1st time happen to be their feeding time so got a chance to see all the cats awake and wait for food, is cute 😻
Beautiful place. Peaceful. Extremely hygienic.
Have been to multiple cat cafes- this one has been the most enjoyable experience. Very clean and even non animal lovers will enjoy.
this place is so cute, highly recommend everyone to try. every cat feels like they have a unique personality and they r extremely friendly w humans. thank you for this experience!! i even bought cat collars for my cats all the way in my home country as a remembrance <33
Food was decent but the toffee nut latte was definitely the highlight of my meal. Would say the staff was quite friendly and they gave instructions clearly. Can understand why we arent allowed to pick up the cats as its not the safest for them and for us if they choose to react aggressively. Reached around 2pm and around 3pm it started to get quite crowded with many people on the floor trying to get the cats attention. Abit overwhelming in that sense. Was $18 for 2hrs plus one drink. It was a good one time experience but not recommended if you want the cat to approach you more as most of the cats are quite shy and sleepy 😅😅
You like cats? Come here. Don't need to think too much about it. If you just wanna chill and have cats walk around while you sip on coffee/tea while you chat with your friend(s), this is the place to go! Surprisingly spacious place with a relaxed environment and nice staff. If you want to get more cat action, the best time to go is at about 5pm. Each session is 2 hours long and the feeding time is 6pm. After their meals, the cats were a LOT more receptive to our pats. Definitely worth the $16 entrance fee. It may seem expensive at first, but come on. If you're already paying half of that to go to Starbucks or some other hipster cafe, I think you can justify the other half to truly let your worries melt away in cat paradise!
2h for $16 +free can drink. Felt that 1h was enough 3-4pm good timing.
Cats were very chill so abit boring after a while. We went at 2pm most cats were sleeping so quite boring 3pm onwards cats began to walk around so we played and took pics with them. There were no toys/treats so only can pet cats lor, brought my own toy. Staff was ok they played with the cats sometimes but didn't manage to interact with them maybe they can try to engage cusomters about the cats. When we entered, we paid through Klook which was for wkdays only but we didn't take note when we bought it so staff told us need to pay again and said they are not liable and it's our responsibility in an annoyed tone. Luckily we could refund. Felt that the staff in claw clip was annoyed at us for making that mistake and we had technical difficulties paying through paynow /grab pay so we took a while and could tell the staff was abit 😐😐 at us already even though we said sorry many times. I think cat cafe go once can already because abit boring and ex. Maybe can try catopia instead.
went there once and really enjoyed myself!! the cats were unbelievably cute and the place was really clean and nice. however, it would be better to go during non peak hours as it would be difficult to take much pictures and spend time with the cats when there’s a small crowd, which was what happened when i went. it’s great that they charge per entry so you will be able to spend as much time as you want and wait for your turn to play with the cats! food was not bad too, although they serve mainly drinks and simple snacks. highly recommended!
Nice cat cafe with many cats. 2 hour entry fee is $16 and comes with complementary canned drinks. Dinnertime for the cats is around 6pm where you get to see the cats all grouped up in the center of the room for feeding. Cute!
It was not crowded when we went there on a weekday afternoon. Cats were mostly asleep when we went there at 3pm. Still able to pat the cats and interact with them but most of the cats are shy. Price is quite ok as we bought it directly from Klook app which comes with free beverages. Coffee and pastries were good 👍 the main highlight is the cats of course..2h of watching the cats and patting them.
Not a great timing to go there during evening as most of the cats were inactive and sluggish. They had their meals and were off to bed immediately. If watching cats sleep is your thing, it's a great place to be at! 😄😄
Generally happy with the place, which was clean and has enough high vertical/climbing spots for the cats to move around and relax. Entrance fees are priced reasonably with 1 redeemable can drink (upgrades available).
My only suggestion was perhaps to limit the entry of young kids below a certain age. As a cat lover and having cats myself, it is frustrating for me to watch the young kids terrorizing the cats by chasing after them, or petting them aggressively, and their parents encouraged the behaviour or worse, joined them.
It is clear as day that some of the cats were stressed, anxious and trying to run away from the kids. There were already signs on petting aggression given by the cats, but some of the adults and kids keep petting them and when the cats start biting or scratching, the patrons scolded the cats. I almost exploded but I held myself back.
Some good points - staffs bring out treats to interact with the cats and change their collars to pretty ones for patrons to take pictures. I appreciate that one of the staff taught the kids how to pet the cats correctly to avoid being bitten or scratched.
Also, love the black cat who is very gentle. It decided to climb onto my table and explore my handbag after I interacted with it gently for a while by giving heads rubs and ear massages 🤣 The other cat's sleeping position reminds me of my own cat 😂
It’s an awesome place to chill if you love cats! All of the felines are well taken care by staffs who are passionate about cats. $16 entry fee comes with a canned soft drink and unlimited stay with the cats.
Cats are very lovely animals. They have a lot of rescued strays here which is very good. Just a pity there isn’t much interaction with them such as playing with toys etc. nonetheless still have a good time with them.
The ambience is nice (and so are the cats). The staff are welcoming and warm and are ready to strike up a decent conversation about the place. They are well-versed with everything from the aspect of the business to the cats. The cats are quiet and don't tend to fight a lot, contributing even more to the peacefulness of this café. Food is wonderful and the entrance fee is only 15 SGD for each person and there is no time limit or extra charges even if you stay the whole day, excluding food and drink charges.
Overall very warm and cosy place, great for getting close to the cats. I recommend sitting on the floor so you can get closer to the cats.
Would recommend going early or late to avoid peak hours, such as noon to 5pm, so you can get more personal time with cats and not as much noise.
The right cat place in Singapore for all cat lovers ☕️🐈🐈⬛
The place is super-clean, one does not smell animal there.
Staff is nice and cute.
The capuccino was delicious ☕️👍🏻🙂
The cats are cats 😆
I absolutely love this place! Previously they charge per entrance but now it has changed to SGD 16 per 2 hours. 😔 We went around 2-4pm but initially most of the cats were sleeping. Do make a call to this place to check when is the best time to visit. This place sells some cat food and merchandise as well. At the corner of the room, there's a place with cat-related books too.
This places is awesome for cat's lovers and is started to get more popular, hence advance bookings need to be done to secure a slot for the visit.
And since almost all came in with advance booking, the cafe should be able to know they need to stock up their drinks as many of us will opt for the option given of paying a fee with a standard can of drink.
When the cafe ran out of can of drinks, we are asked to TOP UP for other drinks which are priced higher.
Believe this can be done better when many of us actually made such reservation days before the visit?
Quite a quaint and chill spot to hang out at. Cats are generally quite friendly but most of them would be sleeping depending on which timing you visit the cafe. Staff are friendly and approachable. $18 for a 2 hour session and it comes with a free canned drink. Upgrades are available for more atas drinks / coffee etc…
It’s located opposite Bugis Junction, near the entrance of Bugis Street. You’ll need to head into the alley on the right (shown in picture and head up to level 3).
Cats are well taken care of and well accustomed to visitors. The staff, although young, has good knowledge about the cats and each individual kitty's personality. No time limit and they serve decent drinks.
Cats here are very tame and welcoming of pets! By far the more well maintained cat cafe there is! Pretty underrated if you ask me, definitely come by if you love cats!
Second time celebrating my daughter's birthday with cat cafe bugis and it never let us down. Thank you for being part of the celebration. Staff is friendly and really helpful.
Super cute cats!! (We love Silver the most uwu🥰) We went at about 5.50pm and the cats had just finished their dinner this they were all having the food coma and wanted to nap hehe. This was great for us as we could pet them as they slept! Towards the later part of our 2 hr session, the place became more crowded with people and we couldn't pet the cats anymore for they were all surrounded already :(
Try to go off peak periods for more petting opportunities! :3
This adorable cat gave me a high five
Missy (the cat with blue eyes) is so cute and friendly
Most of the cats were sleeping so i didn’t disturb them
They let us feed the cats some treats and that’s when all the cats came out
The cappuccino was good
My 3rd time here, the cats are friendly and so adorable
Saw people eating lasagna, maybe i should get some too next time
Location: 3 minutes walk from Bugis MRT.
Space: Small space well design for cat environment even with vertical space for cat climb up and down, scratching post, space to hide, toys.
Cat: Healthy and active.
Love the atmosphere. The cats are super cute and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. They tell us what to do and not to do with cats. They also take a good care of the cats and make sure customers are comfortable.
One of the staff can speak so fluent Japanese like native Japanese. I was so surprised. Cats were sleepy, which they should be, but so cute and healthy. Price was so affordable and the coffee was delicious. Had great time here and want to come back again.
Place is clean and tidy.
However the staff could do better if they had warned me about Butter: it loves hot chocolate and would not hesitate to have a few laps! In the end I had to abandon my drink, whereafter cafe staff did not compensate with new cup.
This place is not suitable for elders and handicapped. You need to climb stairs to reach the cafe.
Overall, all cats are not aggressive and well behaved.
Very lovely place. All the cats look healthy and well care for. Staff gave specific instructions on how to handle the cats. The cafe is clean and smell normal. Would love to visit again.
Beautiful and greatly cared for cats here. If you want to see the cats moving around, go in the morning at 10am or 4pm. Rest of the time, they will be just laying there sleeping. For additional $3, you can get a latte and it was pretty good~ $16 for two hours seems a lot but I liked that most of the cats are rescued from the street and they are well taken care of here.
Had an amazing time here at The Cat Cafe😁😁😁
There is also another outlet, but our family went to the Bugis one this time. (The cats here tend to be older compared to the Railmall cafe) The environment overall is really chill and we easily spent an hour and a half with the cats. They are very friendly, and will come up to you sometimes. Of you want to experience this to the fullest, come pre-lunch.🌮 The cats are the most active at that time, and you'll be able to look at them eat. It's, well, *interesting*... After lunch, they are all half-asleep, so might not unteract as much. Though some of them are strays, all are given great care and they have distinct personalities. Highly recommended, a MUST TRY. 👍
I would highly recommend cat-lovers to visit this place. Although the price is seemingly expensive at first, you will find the price is totally worth it .
The cats are cute and gentle, and most of them will let you touch . As for the service here, it is really awesome . It is really a fantastic place to get close to different types of cats .
It’s a fun and cute cat cafe! It was located upstairs of a building, serving an assortment of beverages. The cats are adopted street cats - so it’s for a good cause to support them! It would be even better if we could feed them treats at certain times of the day, and maybe have an introduction to them (learn their names and stories). Thank you!!
Located at 3rd floor of Bugis Village, entrance can be found at the alley between bugis village Victoria Street main entrance and 'Mixue' shop hidden behind. Weekends usually full slots so make a booking to avoid disappointment.
Beautiful experience with the cats. My daughter really enjoyed and wanted to come back for more. Staff are friendly and helpful 🙂
All the cats were cute and fun to play with! it's not quite a café but more of a soft hangout area to stay with. Theres a lot of drinks provided together with toys and manga!
(Cat in the video is Nini from The Cat Café)
Cats are less affectionate here but still cute and worth spending time here if you like cat watching!
The cafe is slightly hidden and you need to go to the back of the building to gain access to the shop. Its on the highest floor of the building. Once there you will be in heaven as you get drown out with tons of 🐈.
Do note that you avoid from 11 to 1pm as it is the sleeping period for the 🐈. At least it was to me. Luckily there is a few that is not sleeping when I was there.
You are free to chill there as long as you want.
The cafe was filled with cute cats, and the staff are very polite and helpful
Before arriving, it was not made clear that there is no PayWave, and so me and my companion had to leave to attempt to go and get certain payment apps or cash etc, which took a long time and was inconvenient. Had we known in advance we would have prepared accordingly. Tourists, be aware! Staff were very polite and were accommodating to our situation. Cats were very cute, not friendly to be honest, but we did go at 3-5pm so they were probably tired. As per other reviews we thought we would see them be fed around this time, but that was not the case. I do not blame the staff for this. Wifi speed was good, food and drink options were limited (probably due to limited preparation space) but what we received was great, so no complaints. It was clean inside. I would recommend to the business to provide more opportunities for patrons and cats to interact, in a way safe for the cats of course. I would also recommend that the business have payWave, such a touristy activity should have one of the most common payment methods in my opinion. Food 4/5, drinks 4/5, staff 4/5, atmosphere 3.5/5, payment options 1/5, opportunities to interact with cats 2/5. As is, wouldn’t go back but wasn’t a bad experience.
Small place with many cute cats. 😻
A cute collection of rescued kitties in a chilled environment where you get to spend a moment hanging out and recharging your dopamine.
The cats are so well treated and looked after and absolutely gorgeous! They aren't very cuddly and the place is a bit overpriced but nice if you like cats.
It's $16 per person per entry for 2 hours and it comes with a free canned drink. There are 14 cats in total and most of them are friendly but some might bite you if they get tired of you molesting them.
Cats were lovely and the food and drinks are very nice. Just have a few qualms about the service, as you walk in the entryway is quite small and narrow and we were immediately being spoken to by multiple staff at the same time, we felt very overwhelmed with pressure to choose our beverage before we even manage to look at the menu or even sit down. Felt a bit like being shuffled along before we even committed to entering.
One concern of mine was that the cats' "do not disturb" sleeping area was absolutely tiny for the amount of cats they actually had, quite a few napping spots around the space but the cats were very easy to bother by the other guests when they were trying to nap. Another, is that they were allowing quite a lot of people into the space at a time which I can imagine being very overwhelming for the cats, every other cafe I've been to/heard of limits the amount of people inside so as to not stress them out too much.
The cats are absolutely adorable!! I didn’t get to pet all of them, but it’s okay for me to stare at them being cute hahahahah 🥰 The staff also has good relationships with the respective cats, and can tell that the cats are very well taken care of.
If you like cats and don’t mind just observing / absorbing in all their cuteness, you can come here!! You can’t exactly pet all of them, because it can get quite crowded during busy periods.
That being said, I do have a problem with some of the customers though. When the cats were sleeping, some of the customers actually petted the cats very aggressively. Some of them were kids, others were teens to young adults. At some point of time, there were like 5-6 customers surrounding the sleeping cat(s) and petting it almost concurrently.
Nonetheless, I did enjoy myself here and time flew by so fast when they all woke up to play with us!! 💖
Cute and friendly cats plus they’re cared for really well by the staff
Our appointment at 3pm sees most of the cats sleeping so was rather disappointing especially for my granddaughter who was looking forward to playing with them 🙁
Had a very pleasant experience at the cafe today! Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. They shared with us entertaining stories about the cats (Tuxedo likes butt pats) and are very knowledgeable about cats. The cats were a bit shy at first, but when the staff explained how to approach the cats, they immediately opened up more and allowed us to pet them, and some even headbutted me. Overall I had a very positive experience at the cafe.
However, mid way through my stay, there was a customer outside kicking up a big fuss and screaming at the staff and holding up a queue. I wanted to go to the toilet and yet a couldn’t. The staff did a very good job in handling the situation and handling their composure. I was annoyed at the customer as her yelling was very disruptive and scaring all the cats inside. Once she left, the staff did not lose their composure and continue to serve everyone nicely and politely.
I think perhaps the cafe should have a “no rude customers” policy, or have the right to ask nasty customers to leave as the cats seemed genuinely scared at the lady’s yelling. I feel sorry for both the staff and cats. :(
Go earlier and not 2-3hours before 10pm closing time as the kitties kinda slack around crunching for their bedtime.
Cosy environment to have a cup of coffee and mingle with the cats.
Lovely place to visit for a nice relaxing time with cats. Visited during off peak period which was great as the place was not crowded. My daughters had more time to warm up with the cats. Staff were friendly and willing to share interesting details of the cats. The cats looked healthy and well looked after. My girls also enjoyed their hot chocolate and soft drink.
We had a relaxing time with Patches, Brownie, Ginny, Missy and Yogurt.
The cats are cute! When I went there, first hour the cats are mostly sleeping but my second hour, many of them woke up and interacted with customers. One cat laid on my friends bag, there was even another one who laid on someone's lap. Kudos to lap kitty!
Favourite cat: Elly
Adorable cats, friendly staff and a nice cozy ambience. What could be better is a wider variety of drinks and food to choose from. And crowd control. When I was there, there was a family with 2 kids around ages 8-9 i presume. They were chasing the cats and scaring them, staff did not notice and a customer had to kindly tell them to stop. Nice chill place to relax after shopping and for a price of $15, not bad at all.
Cats there are super cute. Pudding won't talk to me at all tho :(
The staff were super nice. They knew a lot about the cats, took time to explain their background and explained the behavior exhibits of the cats. Never thought I'd be a cat person but it looks like I'm a convert! Place was relatively comfortable and spacious as well.
CALLING ATTENTION TO ALL CAT LOVERS!!
if you are in singapore for a holiday or as a resident, you absolutely HAVE to visit this place. the admission is easily affordable! there are many different cats in this cafe, all warm and furry and really friendly!! and it is amazing to see them balancing precariously on thin wooden beams stretching high across the ceiling… before jumping down ever so gracefully and leaving you
jaw-dropped at how they can land so gracefully from such heights… of course, as this is a cafe, food and drinks such as cake and coffee is served as well, at affordable prices. they’re really tasty too!! you should visit it!!
Unlike other cat cafes, this cafe's entrance fee is the least. You don't have to worry about the time (every hour additional $$). You can stay from the opening hour till closing time and you just need to pay $15 with a complimentary soft drink (provided you make any food or drinks order la).
The number of cats is more than 10 I believe..? And the atmosphere is cozy too..The only downside is, the cats are not as active as to compare with other cat cafes, and they can be aggressive at times.
I recommend this cat cafe for those who prefers to save $$, at the same time you want to spend few hours with many adorable felines. =)
A long overdue review. Love the place and have visited several times. The furry babies are well loved - ample space for them to rest, play and laze around. Appreciate there is no time restriction to our visits. Even though there are no lifts, the cafe is definitely worth the climb.
An enjoyable place to relax and interact with cats. The only cat café in Singapore with no time limit, so you can spend as much time as you like! Visit just before cats’ feeding hour (call ahead and ask when) to see a flurry of activity. After eating, the cats are more amenable to being petted also, and others calmly go to sleep.
The Cat Cafe has many cats. The cats get active when it's feeding times and after feeding the cats rest, so if you're planning a trip, try to avoid feeding times. We had a good time there, thanks!
Had an amazing experience there, staff were super friendly and clear on the house rules. the food price is affordable and it tasted really good. The cats were absolutely adorable and the enviroment was really cosy and comfy. Will come back again!
Wonderful staff that introduces customers to the cats and plays and interacts with them. Good variety of different cats. Atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. Food available too.
Friendly cats and staff who clearly love their cats! The environment is welcoming with natural sunlight. Coffee is better than expected, another plus
Good place to chill and relax. The cats are usually inactive, only wakes up before meal time. So time your visit before the feeding time for most active period.
I used it around noon on the weekend. Admission fee is SGD 15, which includes one soft drink. You can also upgrade to coffee or latte for an additional fee. There is no time limit so you can take your time. The store staff explained things very carefully and it was a very pleasant store. It was very soothing.
The cats are cute and the environment is great.
but,
The staff will always treat the cat that comes to you and acts coquettishly
Drive him away, take him away, call him away...
I've been there twice and the night shift staff are friendlier.
The staff are very nice, the cats are very well-behaved, and the food is delicious. It’s worth 18$ 2hrs. I also bought some souvenirs.
