Got my Mazda 3 from Kelvin Phua about 3 weeks back. Had a wonderful used-car shopping experience with him. This was not my first time buying a used car but the first time buying an used car from Ka-Hup, and I already knew which exact vehicle I want, but yet he managed to surprise me with his professionalism. Some examples of good service I experienced below: 1. The first time I met him, he went straight to the point to go through with me the conditions of the car and explained carefully with me the financial information required. He did not waste time and try to convince me to get a more expensive car and was honest in his explanation on the condition of the car. For example, he highlighted immediately the unique sound a sky-active engine makes during a cold start even before I realised there was any, and proved it by starting up their other Mazda cars to show that they would have the same unique sound. He also pre-empted some of the questions i might ask (e.g. if the HUD angle can be adjusted) and told me immediately the key features of the vehicle. 2. He explained with examples his company's process and considerations when choosing the vehicles to list for sale. This makes me more confident to buy from Ka-Hup and him as a whole. Furthermore, he had no qualms with people sending the vehicle for inspection, cause he have confidence with the vehicles Ka-Hup sells. 3. Ka Hup is one of the few used car dealers that allow me to drive on public roads for vehicle testing, even when I had not promise to buy from them. 4. His attention to details is terrific. and he showed no impatience when dealing with fairly out of the norm questions (e.g. First installment). 5. He ensured that the vehicle handed over was clean and tidy. It lasted so long that my colleagues mentioned that the vehicle had a new car smell 2.5 weeks after handover! Kelvin was prompt in his service and always tries his best to provide response within the shortest time possible. He shares the cost of the transaction upfront and have no hidden agenda. He is also resourceful and knowledgeable in the industry. All other ad-hoc matters pertaining to the buying and selling of the vehicle were also handled by the man alone.
