Reviews of Goh Chor Tua Pek Kong Temple
A rather small temple, which apparently is one of the oldest one around. I think they is a wayang stage at the side.
Goh Chor ( Rochore ) Tua Pek Kong is a very old temple dating back 1847. I still remember my late Grandma telling me a lot of Hokkien people in that era of time during the 1970s believe that Lor Pan Junk Tua Pek Kong only bless the rich business people whereas Rochore Tua Pek Kong will bless those poor people. With due respect to Lor Pan Junk Tua Pek Kong ,please do not take offence .I am merely telling what the people in that era of time think. I personally believe that God will bless anyone who is kind and good hearted and I also pray to Lor Pan Junk Tua Pek Kong when I,m around Geylang area.
Not to the temple, but outside for the durians. Standard pricing across Spore. Slightly better than Going to Geylang stalls.
Well Preserved Temple
It's a cute shrine. It is well-maintained, probably due to the strong faith of the locals. If you go there at night, you may find vagrants sleeping. I guess it's bright and safe.
"Rochor Tua Pekong Palace": has a long history. Among the temples on the mainland of our country, it is very rare that such a local, representative historic temple can maintain its original style and has a fixed stage for performing performances for gods. I really can’t find it anymore. I hope it can be preserved forever!
