My first visit to this huge temple. Everything is well decorated, including custom patterned marbled floor. Every statute is gold plated. The whole place is very commercialized and beautifully designed and decorated. Head that the temple serve free meals to the needy. Excellent!

Large Buddhist institution and building nestled behind somerset/orchard road area.
Very calm place for Buddhist meditation, prayer and education. This is a very newly renovated temple.
Visited the temple in the morning on Guanshiyin Bodhisattva's Sacred Birthday. It is a very serene and peaceful place. Devotees and volunteers whom i have met are down to earth, polite and kind.
Seems to be the biggest Buddhist “temple” in Singapore. Very grand and zen. Love going there during weekends for peace meditation

Very impressive. Reminded me of the Buddhas I saw in Thailand. Two very large images of Buddha to see here.
Month Seven, ghosts month, many people are praying.

The newly revamped temple is so lovely. They also provide 3 meals a day for free.
Beautiful Temple !
It is one of the most serene and beautiful temples in Singapore. Well known for its charitable work, free vegetarian foods 🙏
The same year my father was born in Singapore. Now he and his parent are here for our prayers and remembrance.
It's currently undergoing renovations but the prayer service are ongoing daily. The main prayer hall has completed renovations and accessible. The daily free meals are available in basement 1, moved from the ground levels
Closes MRT is Fort Canning. You can visit without apt.
SBL is a pleasant temple. Hope there are regular cleaners that take care of the toilet at B1 and L1, to prevent visitors sitting on toilet bowls and dirty so many toilet's cubicles. MRT toilets has already improved too. Is difficult for others to step in to such a dirty toilet.
Limited place for car parking.
Without shuttle bus service.
Had to walk distance to reach Temple. However still like to pray sincerely. Very nice building.
Son's ROM on 20 Jan 2022.
We were there on 16 Dec 2021.
I went with my hubby, eldest son and daughter-in-law to pray my hubby's ancestors.
Bought five oranges, five apples and five pears.
Magnificent temple, must take a moment to sit in the main hall to reflect. Vegetarian meals are very good.
Fantastic it was so lovely but the thousands hand goddess of mercy on the 5 floor doesn't look that good when we look up it was like very short n the head top we couldn't see it's a waste n u should not have the barrier as well beside that everything was lovely thks
The place has become very spacious and clean compared to my visit many years (5-6 years) ago.
Serene and calm.
The first temple that my grandparents brought me too when I was young. Vegetarian food was yummy and a great place to offer your respects to the Buddhas and learn more about Buddhism 🙏🏻
Calm and peaceful place. One finds solace inside the Main Shrine Hall.
A beautiful buddhist temple which provides free vegetarian meals(including soup, rice and curry, noodles and tea ,coffee ) from 7.am to 5 .pm everyday...if you like you can donate vegetables, rice and other non meat food items. You can also donate money.

This is a Buddhist temple focusing on the Amitabha Pure Land denomination.
The main building is now under renovation, if you need to find a place to chant Amitabha, you could only go to level 3 where the Merit Hall is located. Here is where the tablets of the passed on are enshrined.
As the redevelopment is on going, if you would like to make a donation, proceed to the admin office at level 2.
There is a library on level 4 where you can find books about Buddhism, both in English and Chinese. You need to leave your shoes outside before entering.
On level 1 is the dining hall where vegetarian food prepared and cooked by the volunteers are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Due to being free for all, you will find many from the socially vulnerable groups would come here to have their meals.

One of Singapore's famous temples
The pagoda is large, beautiful, there is rice and water for visitors to the pagoda, self-serve, self-washing after eating, I went on the occasion of worshiping vu lan in July so the pagoda was very crowded.
The Singapore Buddhist Laity Forest is an activity place for Buddhist laymen to learn doctrines, develop wisdom, promote doctrines, and purify body and mind. Jushilin adheres to the purpose of "patriotic and religious, promoting righteous faith, benefiting sentient beings, and purifying body and mind". In addition, a Buddhist scripture building and a Buddhist reading room have been built for lay believers to study Buddhism and purify their minds.
Jushilin provides free breakfast, lunch and dinner to the public every day. Regardless of rich or poor, regardless of religion or race,
There is no need for any documentation procedures to enjoy three free meals.
With the purpose of promoting Buddhism and compassionately benefiting the world, Singapore Buddhist Laymen has been serving the public from all over the world for decades. In particular, its Shifang Zhaitang has long insisted on providing three free meals to the public, regardless of race or religion. There is no door at all in the Jushi Forest, so you can enter freely. The couplet on the door reads: There is no need to close an empty door, and there is no need to sweep a clean place.
Thousands of people dine at Shifang Zhaitang every day. Behind this is a group of volunteers who work silently and contribute silently in the kitchen. These volunteers are a group of ordinary and kind-hearted ordinary people who serve the public wholeheartedly without any regrets or asking for anything in return. Some of the people who come here to eat are helpless elderly people, and there are also foreign workers at construction sites. If they don’t have money to eat, there is no need to worry. There is a large free canteen in Singapore - Jushilin. In recent years, due to the epidemic, many people have lost their jobs and have no income, so they come here to get three meals a day. This also helps to prevent crimes to a certain extent. Jushilin opens the door to help the poor and helps the poor, giving without asking for anything along the way, and getting more rewards from all directions!
Very big temple. A friendly local woman explained a little about the place and the religion they profess. Curious to see. You must take off your shoes before entering. There is a place to leave your sneakers and sit down to put them on later.
First visit after renovation, very good.
There is a Chinese medicine practitioner, Buddhist chanting hall, and library upstairs.
It’s a very good place to worship and recite Buddha’s name. Free vegetarian meals are available every day. Thank you!
For religious tourism visits. Pretty good, especially after renovation. Quite spacious. You can pray at the location too. Go upstairs, there is an acupuncture place.
Noble, great, very spiritual. A very clear, beautiful house to pause in.
This is a temple that enshrines Buddha.
It's a big place in the neighborhood, but it's not noisy.
No.
I caught a glimpse of it on my way back and forth.
