The 3 glass panels between my hall and the bedroom were dismantled to do a built in wardrobe for the bedroom and privacy purpose. The hacking, painting and reinstating the wall were professionally done swiftly and skillfully with no hassle. Quality and workmanship of the wardrobe were excellent. Very well pleased and satisfied with the help of Mr Lavin who is in charge of my renovation work from providing quotation, onsite visits to coordination of contractors’ schedule. We had approached Lai Reno for some minor reno works in our current master bedroom (dismantling existing fixtures then installing a partition wall and sliding door). Charles was assigned to us and got in touch very quickly to understand the works required. We eventually engaged Lai Reno due to the reasonable pricing. It was great to work with Charles as he was always responsive to our messages. Even though our works were minor compared to a typical reno project, Charles never fails to accord his attention to our project. As the works were done while we were staying in the house, we really appreciate that he tries his best to accommodate to our schedule and minimise the inconveniences. We are really happy with the process and quality of the works from start to end. The dismantling guys were able to safely remove a huge floor-to-ceiling glass panel without shattering it to bits. The partition guy was really experienced and did a fantastic job on the partition wall, which was seamless against the current wall. The quality of the sliding door was also solid and beautifully installed. We would highly recommend Lai Reno and Charles for any renovation project!

Especially our best thanks to Charles and Choon Wei in the coordination and problems solving during the works. The team were responsive when there was some issues with the tiles. They assisted and changed the tiles with issues. The electrician supporting the team was very responsible and did a great job in installing the electrical wiring. I have engaged Charles from Lai Reno to do my house renovation a few months ago. Main work scope consists of hacking and redoing my whole toilet, some demolition work for other areas of the house, as well as repairing and plastering and make good my existing false ceiling. The first time I saw Charles, I knew he’s the one I am going to engage for my renovation. He stands out from the rest of the contractors. Unlike the usual contractors, he is always smiling and has very good temper. He is also friendly, patient, approacheable and humble. These characteristics of Charles has contributed to a happy renovation journey for me. It is understandable that it is impossible for a renovation to be 100 percent smooth sailing. I did encountered some issues like the plumber accidentally hacked a big hole out of my toilet wall and you could see my room from the hole as it shares the same wall as the toilet. I was a little shocked initially but was soon comforted by Charles that such accidents are not uncommon. Eventually, the hole was well rectified by his tiling team. They have done proper plastering and waterproofing for the walls. Water ponding test was also conducted by the tiling team. Though the plumber had made this mistake unintentionally, he’s still a very good and experienced plumber. He had done a good job for the plumbing works including the installation of my Grohe rainshower, Grohe Taps and American standard toilet bowl. He has alot of experiences installing these branded fittings. He even shared with me how to use my rain shower as mine came with a lot of functions. The plumber is jovial, humorous, easygoing and not calculative. He even helped me to silicon some areas that is out of his job scope. Not only that, my kitchen has encountered a water leakage issue, he helped to rectify it for free even though this is not the area that I have paid him for. Charles also has a very good team of tilers. His team of tilers is lead by a head tiler who has at least 20 years of experience. Under the supervision of the head tiler, you can be rest assured that your project will be in good hands. The head tiler is very knowledgeable and is selfless in sharing with me his knowledge. He even suggested to me the best way of doing the tiling works and explained to me the rationale behind. Besides having a good team of plumbers and tilers, Charles also has a very good team of false ceiling workers. He has a eye for details and his workmanship is excellent. He helped to make good my existing false ceiling like new. Out of good will, he even helped to plaster some of the areas that is not within his job scopes. There are many areas that I am satisfied with Charles and his workers. Maybe the only area of improvement that I could think of is, they could have better protect my toilet window frame and room door with cardboards before doing the hacking. My toilet window frame and room door have some peeling paints and chipped areas due to the hacking. As my experience with Charles is mainly positive, this is the only negative issue that I could think of. Overall, charles is a nice and responsible contractor who has a team of reliable workers. Even after the renovation ended, he showed a lot of initiatives by following up closely on all the defects. He even offered to help me patch one of my living room tiles which was slightly chipped off. I am happy that I have chosen him for my renovation. Through him, he had shown me that renovation can be an enjoyable process and you need not spend a lot of money to achieve good results. He’s definitely someone you can entrust your house with. Even when he’s on leave for a week during the renovation, he had done a proper and detailed handover to his partner Choon wei. Choon wei is able to follow up well with the project without me needing to repeat my requirements. I am thankful to be able to meet them and engage them for my house. I will definitely engage them for my future renovations again.

Engaged them to fix my kitchen floor tiles. A very pleasant experience dealing with Charles who was very prompt in his replies and reliable. He managed to expedite the completion of my reno to only 4 days instead of the estimated 1wk+. The only thing is the workers scratched my kitchen floor entrance when they helped to move my furniture, which Charles said he will get it fixed for me soon.
