Reviews of Simei MRT Station (EW3)
All MRT stations in Singapore are well maintained with maps and directions. Even if you are new to this country you can easily navigate without any issues.
Simei MRT Station (EW3) is part of Singapore’s East-West Line (EWL), providing convenient public transportation for residents and visitors in the eastern part of the island. Located in the heart of the Simei neighborhood, the station is well-connected to various residential areas, schools, and amenities, making it a key transportation hub for commuters.
The station is clean, well-maintained, and designed with accessibility in mind, featuring elevators and ramps for those with mobility needs. It has two main entrances, offering easy access to nearby locations, including Eastpoint Mall, which is directly adjacent to the station. This makes it easy for commuters to grab food, shop, or run errands before or after their journeys.
Simei MRT Station is also conveniently located near several schools, healthcare facilities, and recreational areas, making it a central point for the daily commute. The station is typically less crowded than others on the East-West Line, providing a more relaxed travel experience, especially during off-peak hours.
For residents or visitors heading to other parts of Singapore, the station offers seamless connectivity to major MRT interchanges like Tanah Merah and Bugis, allowing for easy transfers to other lines. Overall, Simei MRT Station provides a convenient and efficient travel experience, serving as a key link between the Simei area and the rest of Singapore.
A convenient point for me in avoiding Tanah Merah station rush hour in commuting to and from Changi Business Park (CBP). If I miss the Expo-bound train in the morning, I continue on to Simei and take Bus 20 to CBP from there. For the going back from CBP, taking Bus 20 to Simei makes more certain to get a seat on the west- bound train compared to Tanah Merah station, where rush hour crowd from Expo usually compete for limited seats. Apart from that, nearby Hawker Centre and East Point mall have variety of shops for a quick bites.
Connected to Local simple Eastpoint mall to fix all your immediate needs. No major brands.
Simei MRT station is a true gem in Singapore's public transportation network. The station is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere for commuters. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, ready to assist with any inquiries. The accessibility features for individuals with disabilities are top-notch, making it a truly inclusive station.
One of the standout features of Simei MRT is its well-organized layout, making it easy to navigate even for first-time visitors. The station is also strategically located, offering convenient access to nearby amenities like shopping centers, schools, and residential areas.
The frequent and reliable train service ensures that you can always count on Simei MRT for a timely commute. Plus, the station is adorned with beautiful artwork and greenery, adding to its aesthetic appeal.
Overall, Simei MRT station is a shining example of efficiency, cleanliness, and convenience in Singapore's public transportation system. It consistently delivers a great commuting experience, making it a go-to choice for residents and visitors alike.
Usual small and not much improvement except big fans at the platform for years.
Like any typical MRT Station in Singapore. However this station is less crowded.. Loving Simei estate!
Simei mrt has good fruit stalls, but east point shopping mall unfortunately sells mostly fast food
MRT is compact, clean and convenient.. connect to East mall, all staff have service in mind...
As usual, same as other neighborhoods, but one of the children rice stalls in Hola coffee shop you might try it
Clean and airy, well maintained station. However the elderly with their automated vehicles are running about quite recklessly ignoring the existence and safety of the people around the platform and lift area.
Good
Has shops, malls, restaurants nearby. Services by bus numbers 5, 9, 20 and 38. About 10 mins walk to Changi general hospital.
Nice place, amazing food, lots of people, friendly guys
Significant sign board, clean and systematic.
Surrounded by malls and shopping places with a hawker
1. There is a stall in the coffee shop( Hoya coffeeshop) that sells, red wine chicken mee sua, is yummy.
2. Basement 1 of Simei Mall, seems traditional Singaporean street food: Koo Kee Yong Tou fu, Redhill 85 noodles, Nam Kee Pau, Crave, Taiwanese street food too.
3. Right at the other end, is a Kopithiam, where you should find a place to sit. Pu Tien, etc.
That's the nearest mrt to my home.
