My 3years old girl attended one free trial ballet lesson. She enjoys it very much and looking forward to lessons. Teacher was pleasant and patient with the kids . The studio is clean and the center in charge Ms Apple is friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for baby girls interested in ballet.

2 months ago , We went for a trial class and decided to sign up. While my daughter only attended her ballet class for two months, it was a wonderful experience for her. Although StepUp is a small school , the teachers were attentive and supportive, creating a welcoming atmosphere for beginners. Thank you to Ms. Rachael and the dedicated staff at StepUp. My daughter recently joined Step Up Ballet in Punggol and I couldn't be happier with our experience. This is her third class, and initially, she was very scared and kept crying. My daughter started ballet with Step Up in Punggol Safra when she is 4 years old. The school and teachers have been very supportive for the past 5 years. She is exposed to different dance genes based on her interests and is part of the performing group. There are ups and downs in her dance journey and her ballet teacher Ms Book is always there for her. Would like to thank her jazz and hip hop teacher Ms Shirlyn as well for her patience and guidance. Not forgetting Apple who is very prompted in answering our enquiries. My daugther loves teacher Shir Lyn’s Jazz class as teacher Shir Lyn is very cheerful and makes the learning fun and exciting. Thanks to Mdm. Apple (person in charge at One Punggol branch) for keeping the place so clean, nice and comfortable. Thanks Mdm. Apple for patiently explaining the attire required for the Jazz class and how to wear the attire properly for her class. She also demonstrated how tie the hair bun for the class. We are very satisfied with the way StepUp coach my girl for her ballet class! She joined StepUp since 3 years old and it has been nearly 3 years for now. Initially we just wanted our girl to have better body posture and stronger physical fitness. And she likes her ballet class after attending lessons for half a year. Ms Rachael Pong is her teacher since then and she always deliver high quality dedicated teaching to the class as we can see how our girl progresses. The way she teaches is designed for this group I guess as I heard my girl telling me “your toe must kiss the floor” when I mimicked her dance during her practice at home following their online teaching videos during this pandemic. It is a fun and creative way of teaching that suits this age group! I hope StepUp punggol and Ms Pong can keep up the good work which I think they will and help more students who like ballet (or other dances) to achieve their goals and build stronger bodies! 1/9/23 An other year has pasted. A big thumbs up for Ms Rachael and her teams and we shall continue to excel further in the following years. My girl has now built her confidence and passion in ballet, whenever there are gaps ms Rachael will always be there to provide support with demonstration to ensure we practice the correct way at home. Always being attentive to all my enquirers and approachable ever since 2019😂. Their helpful counter staff/admin ms Apple has been offering lots of helps even since she came onboard! I chose StepUp after attending a few trials at other centers back then and now I believe it I have made the correct choice of enrolling my girl to StepUp.

Through her, my daughter learns about the importance of discipline and commitment in the area of dance. One thing that sets StepUp apart is their transparent communication with the founders of the school. I appreciate the sharings done by Mr Ng and could always learn a thing or two from his sincere sharings. I learnt more about the DSA programme through the sharings and have benefitted from them thus far as I understand better now how to help my child enter a secondary school of her choice through her passion for dance. Parents are also always kept up to date about the happenings in school through regular emails. Requests for make-up lessons etc can be conveniently made using the mobile app. The administrative staff, Ms Apple, is also very approachable and helpful, especially when it comes to the purchasing of ballet attire. All in all, I am very happy with the school and I recommend it to parents who are looking for a dance school for their child.

Our girl had been under the wings of this instructor called Miss Book for 4yrs. We were very blessed as she showed lots of passion and patience throughout this four years. Especially the last 1 year where our girl was selected for soloist performance for the dance competition. Our girl was going through some emotional changes as she losing her afternoon nap for her solo training. Miss Book was very patience and even spend time during lesson talking to her and guide her how to be mentally strong. This September, she is going up on stage. The relationship is so strong that our girl save money to buy birthday present for Miss Book instead of her Daddy. :) The school is also very supportive and helpful to look into all the needs of their students and parents’ schedule. They had also been very supportive of my girl during that transition stage. We are very grateful to have such school and instructor that instead of giving up on their students, they actually go extra miles to make sure their students fulfill their potential.

Superb! Trial dance class arrangement was easy via website, had to make changes due to vaccinations, Covid and Step Up was very accommodating. Trial class was also very enjoyable by the daughter, teacher Ms Ada is very friendly and patient, and gave good feedbacks about her performance in class. We ended signing her up as we could see little stars in her eyes that showed how happy she was with the trial class! Updated 2023 - massive thank you to Ms Apple and Ms Ada! The dance classes and support provided by Step Up @ Punggol had been wonderful, communication was clear and objectives are shared. StepUp Learning & Dance is a wise choice for your child to begin his/her dance journey. It offers a range of dance programs that help further develop the skills and interests for young and keen learners. My child has been with the dance school for the past 4 to 5 years and I have witnessed the dedication of the management team going extra miles to ensure every child and parent have a pleasant experience with them. I am especially thankful that my child has the opportunities to join in the overseas trip and dance competitions. Watching your child receiving awards on stage is an amazing feeling and the sharing of joy with the team makes you feel being part of a big family. Through dancing, my child has built up her confidence, ability to focus and become more disciplined and determined to succeed which I believe will help her in the long run. Of course, the credit goes to her ballet teacher Ms Book whom has so much passion that passes on to the children. Not only is she inspiring, she has a own unique way to engage with the children. We came across StepUp Learning & Dance school when we sent our daughter to the adjacent art school 2 years ago. Initially, we were deciding between two schools, StepUp and another school. My daughter, Ariel (Saturday 10am), went for trial classes at both schools. She chose StepUp because of her ballet teacher, Ms. Rachel and her teaching methods. During the circuit breaker, in 2020, I was worried that Ariel would lose touch with her ballet moves. Fortunately, StepUp created Zoom online lessons for the children. The children had to wear their ballet leotard and shoes to practice at the Zoom lessons. I am grateful to the Zoom lessons because I get to see how Ms. Rachel teaches. Ms. Rachel makes her ballet lessons fun and interesting by giving names to different poses. This makes them easier for the children to remember. Ms. Rachel is very helpful and she gives feedback on Ariel's performance, like what she needs to improve on. What I like most about StepUp is the quarterly showcases. The showcases are mainly meant for parents to know and see what their daughters are learning. Previously, parents view their children's performance in the classroom. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, parents are unable to enter the school. Therefore, StepUp came up with Live Online Showcases on Google Meet. We are now able to enjoy watching our daughters dancing. :) Another aspect that I like about StepUp is the way they communicate with the parents. The school will send emails on updates and reminders about the upcoming events, like exams and showcases, etc. They do not only send once but multiple times. I find this truly beneficial for me because the date of event may slip my mind if I only see the email once. In all, I am happy and satisfied with sending my daughter to StepUp for ballet lessons.

We would like to thank StepUp – Mr Ng and Mrs Ng for giving us their endless supports. We have been with StepUp since 2016, when my girl was 4 years old. This year, Eryn is turning 9 and ballet is already a part of her. Since then, she started her ballet journey i.e. pre-primary ballet and now she is going to Grade 3 ballet. She took part in all the RAD exams and with that we know her progress of learning and the milestone she has achieved. StepUp has also given her opportunities to gain access to their renowned recitals and auditions. She is in one of the performing groups. Eryn has been exposed to numerous live stage performances and competitions. We are glad that with those experiences, constant guidance and support from StepUp and her teacher Ms Book, Eryn builds her self-confidence and has mould a positive personality along the way. During the COVID-19, StepUp arranged Zoom lessons to ensure students were stay connected. Many step-by-step videos were sent to parents to allow students to follow and practice at home during the CB. StepUp also continued to maintain the termly showcase via online Zoom to allow students to show case to parents and update on students’ progress. StepUp always doing the extra miles, this year in order to prepare their students for the CSTD Jazz and RAD Ballet exams, they filmed and created all individual group videos and sent to parents for students to practice at home. Thank you StepUp for making these possible. In all, we are happy to see that Eryn is motivated and discipline to regularly practicing her ‘homework’ given by Ms Book. We are grateful for StepUp’s support and constant communication through various platforms and touchpoints i.e. StepUp portal, email and WhatApps. We truly enjoy this partnership. I searched for many ballet training institutions and finally chose STEP UP. Since my English is not very good, Apple at the front desk was very enthusiastic and patiently helped me solve many problems and helped me make an appointment for a trial class. My child has been shy and introverted since she was a child. Ms. Chiara was very kind and amiable, and she talked softly to her, shortening the distance between us. During the whole class, the child with social anxiety was instantly and happily integrated into the classroom teaching. Teacher Interaction with children is really important. The overall environment is also very comfortable, and the design is very user-friendly. There is a dedicated room for changing clothes. Each classroom is also very spacious, clean, tidy and comfortable.
