We had engaged Casket FairPrice to arrange the funeral for my late mother. I would like to thanks Roger , the funeral director who handled my mother’s case. He is very professional. In the first day at hospital, Roger waited patiently for us to decide on taking up the funeral package. The price is also very reasonable and he try his best to help us in whichever way he can. The team is very professional and she guided my sister and me from the moment my late mother passed away on 27 May 2024. The arrangement of my late mom from hospice to funeral at HDB void deck was seamless. She arranged the logistics of funeral wake (buddhist), drinks and snack and vegetarian buffet for 3 days. Like many of you who will be looking through the reviews, I went through the same process, in hoping to find the most credible, affordable and trustworthy provider for my beloved mum. Many of us will have the same fear of not making the right judgement call as time is definitely not on our side to make the comparison, while having the concerns of having many surprises along the way (we have heard enough horror stories on those). Since many of you don’t have the time to read the details below, my conclusion is Casket Fairprice is good. Go ahead and engage without fear. I googled and chanced upon Casket FairPrice, and saw them with a full 5 stars rating (a perfect score). Dexter was being assigned to be the coordinator. He went thru the package selection process and explained the details of each package. Not pushy at all and the price was nett (yes, nett). My family opted for a Buddhist 5 days Delxue Package to give my mum a more grand and dignity farewell. It was $5k more than the basic Essential Package but no regrets at all. The manager, Delson Lee, came as well during the set-up and the third day to ensure all were good and proper. He even detected one of the bulb was faulty and arranged for someone to change within an hour. The set-up is definitely more grand, with LED light boards (instead of static pictures of Buddha). The free-flow hot drinks machine was a heat to the family members and guests as well. White T-shirts, white socks, toilet papers, tissue papers, drinks, peanuts, everything else were all in. Dexter gave his advice on the do's and dont's. And when I had a last minute issue to find the right columbarium for my mum (to meet my dad’s considerations), Dexter came and helped us to find the right and balance solution. Kudos to him. The final send-off was also conducted professionally. Heartfelt appreciation to Dexter, the manager Delson, and his team for making the overall experience a pleasant and hassle free for our family. The bill was nett and my family was blessed to have sufficient collections to pay for the service engaged.

Zhang Mingliang and his team always there when you need any assistance. They are just 1 phone call away, he will response to your call within 10 minutes. One example, the water pipe was leaking, my wife called him and at the same time I am fixing the pipe confident that I can do the repair, but he still insisted to come and showed up within 15 minutes. With the sudden passing of my mother, i was lost on what was to be done at the hospital. When the hospital mentioned that i needed to get an undertaker to receive the body at the mortuary to be able to bring my mom home after the embalming, i was looking for a funeral service that had their prices listed and would be able to explain to us what was needed. Having done some research across the various parlours, Casket Fairprice has thei packages listed on their website and was open to any enquiries. Vivien received my call and was extremely patient in guiding me through what was to happen next, she first sent us a PDF document of the prices for the different number of days that you require for the funeral and listed clearly what wasn't included in the package. Upon confirmation that we are ok with the prices, she assigned Edward and Leon to walk us through the details of the package. Edward and Leon arrived at the hospital within 45 minutes of the assignment and helped us figure out what kind of funeral would be suitable for my mom. Throughout the 5 days of the funeral, relatives and friends commented that the embalming was done beautifully and they were surprised when we mentioned that several things were included in the package. Leon patiently shared with us over certain prayers rituals and the stories behind why we keep them, this made us understand the actions that we were doing. Even with last minute requests, Leon catered to our needs and assured us that it is never too late to approach him for help. Leon has never once insisted that we purchase any prayer items from his company and even suggested that we can get them from outside if we have a cheaper alternative. He has repeatedly mentioned to us that his company would never ask for red packets for any services rendered, which included the monks that came to do the prayer sessions. He said if any of his staff were to ask for red packets, please let him know. Even though his company offers night watchman services for the funeral venue, Leon has never brought it up to us until we checked with him if he provides such service. This basically shows that Casket Fairprice is not pushy and would not force you to get their services or goods. Over the span of 5 days, my family is grateful and glad that we engaged Casket Fairprice and recommend them if unfortunately any of our friends or family requires their service. The whole 1K+ of 5 starred reviews aren't bought, it's earned through the team's sincerity and belief that prices should be transparent and services should be delivered with heart. Once again, thank you Leon, Edward, Vivien and team for making this 5 days easier to manage and grief with lesser worries.

Words cannot express our deepest gratitude to Ming Liang and his team, for his beautiful handling of my late mother’s (Mdm Chionh) wake and funeral. Ming Liang was so kind, quietly competent, reassuring, highly efficient, and very well versed in the Buddhist practices (he’s familiar with other religions as well) and funeral requirements in Singapore. He has a vast network of contacts that made everything easy and smooth on our end. It was such a painful time for us, but his competency, presence and professional advice helped tremendously and we were given the emotional space to properly grieve. He even obliged my wishes to dye my mom’s hair roots (using a dye I bought) as I told him she was very particular about her hair. On everything funeral related, he was able to give valuable inputs and facilitate as per our wishes. Just a call from him and the tentage contractor came down within an hour to repair one light bulb. Everything was done beautifully by Ming Liang, including my mom’s photo. Whenever relatives asked whether such and such will be done, I was able to reply factually that yes it’s being settled by our funeral director. On the funeral day in particular, we encountered a not so pleasant uncle at the temple where we storing my mom’s ashes. If not for Ming Liang quickly and gently stepping in to handle my mom’s ashes, beyond his usual call of duties, we would have had an emotional scene. Really truly grateful to Ming Liang and Casket Fairprice. 🙏🏻Thank you so much.

I am very thankful to Christopher Goh and his team for making this difficult period an easier and smooth one for us. I was shocked and lost when I heard the news from the hospital but Christopher was so patient and reassuring throughout, it calmed me a lot. He attended to all the details and ensured that all the required was prepared for so that there’s little I need to worry about. He repeated the answers patiently to my repeptive questions which were told to me before but I just wasn’t sure as I was probably in such a daze. He also fulfilled my request for ash jewellery by linking me up with a vendor. They were so attentive they even included the offering of the 花水 for guests to use before they leave. The set-up was serene and nice guests like it and even complimented I did a great job selecting this company. Guests also love the peas and nuts that was provided one friend finished like ten packs sitting and other guests even brought back the bags that wasn’t finished during the wake. There also were indeed a good variety of drink options even in the default package. There was also a meaningful segment organised thanks to Christopher’s initiative to add on an emcee, to talk about my dad and how he worked hard for the family and his younger siblings and how he still infects us with his smile (and jokes) despite his tough battle with his 12 year stroke, dementia and later pneumonia and fluid retention. Guests who joined were very touched and I’m very thankful that how beloved my dad is to us could be expressed.
