Reviews of IKEA Tampines
Traveled all the way from the west to this flagship store, totally worth it!
It's so easy to shop and got more Christmas decorations this round.
And yes, will be back on mid Nov for the live Christmas tree!
Used to shop at Alexandra when I was young. I am so happy they have it here at Tampines. And I stay nearby. And also glad they do online purchase (I can order and deliver home for bulky heavy items) really a family place especially on weekends with kids. Food is so good, and I always grab something home 😂 never empty handed 😁
IKEA Tampines is a fantastic destination for home furnishings, offering a wide selection of stylish and affordable products. The store features beautifully designed showrooms that inspire creativity. Business hours are typically from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, making it convenient for visits. Prices range from budget-friendly items under $10 to more substantial furniture pieces costing several hundred dollars, catering to various budgets. The Swedish meatballs at the restaurant are a must-try!
Visited the IKEA restaurant. It’s crowded as usual but we managed to find seats. There was promotion for the chicken for members and its pretty decent. Overall, the food is decent as well but I guess it’s the experience of dining at IKEA that makes it worthwhile.
The largest ikea in Sg with a insane amount of furniture to choose from and very nicely curated display sets for you topics and decide on your preferred furnishings the food area is as usual very crowded meatsballs we’re still nice and the staple chicken wings though I would not recommend the mushroom soup sadly it’s been priced to 4$ now. Other than that would recommend!
I used to frequent the ikea cafeteria in my younger days. Today I went in for dinner since I need to shop for furnitures to save time.
1 salmon fillet, 2 chicken wings, 1 meatball spaghetti, 1 veggie medallion, 1 mushroom soup with bun, 1 apple drink, 1 pepsi and 1 kewpie mayo sachet. Total up to $40.20. I managed to use ikea reward points to off set $14.00.
Food are mass produced and processed. I guess for the low value price, you can’t expect too much.
It keeps you full but not satisfying.
Free parking. There is a big restaurant at level 3 that is usually quite full but you should be able to find a table most of the time. Chicken wings are nice.
Finally get to try the food at IKEA after all the hype about their meatballs. It’s not bad, but not super amazing. Salmon is alright, but tastes a little frozen. Pasta is average. It’s a family friendly place to dine in during off-peak season, it will be nice if the food is warmer. Quite a nice place for window shopping after a meal.
Ideal place to spend quality family together at the showrooms and cafe. It is conveniently located near to the two megastores Giant and Courts. Our favourite hangout place is the IKEA Bistro as it has a variety of affordable and delicious food and desserts.
Love love love!
Update as at March 2022...
Staff on the ground are not many... so if u need to ask a qns, good luck......
Update as at Aug 2023... not much difference. Not many staff on the ground
Update as at Jan 2024... Xmas stuff not on sale yet. CNY stuff are out. Love the new kids Space designs.
Update as at June 2024... sale going on for home furnishing
Dec 2024... Xmas wrappers are out of stock...
Place is spacious even with crowd, and has nice show rooms to view and see how they design their furnitures to be placed etc. Many things to see and you can spend an entire day just browsing through all their items. There's also a dining area for you to have meals at, and another area where you can buy smaller snacks, hotdog buns, ice cream, beverages, and frozen meatballs. It has a lot of car park spaces too for car owners.
The interior of the showroom is very messy and hard to find your way to the cafeteria, or to another area.
Amazing showrooms! You can't leave IKEA without buying anything. 😂
The displays are feast to the eyes. Very clever way to lure the shoppers to buy. Price of items also affordable. The showrooms will give you home design ideas. Good food in the food hall. Just bring your shopping bag if you are planning to buy something.
Most of household items here. It has almost everything!
They run free shuttle from/to Bedok and Tempines MRT station.
There is $1 hotdog which is so crowded. I was not able to have a chance to eat as it’s been sold out.
If you have a membership, hot coffee is served as free.
There is giant/ courts nearby.
Went on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch and was glad that it was not crowded at all. Ordered their signature chicken wings and the new half lobster spaghetti. Was never a big fan of the wings but the lobster spaghetti was good! The lobster was fresh and sweet, and the chilli crab sauce on the spaghetti was flavourful! Despite being more expensive that most of the other dishes, I really enjoyed it! 👍🏻
The go to place for home owners to source for beautiful and affordable furnitures and fixtures. There is also a F&B outlet offering Scandinavian food as well as local delights like curry puffs and fried chicken wings
Tampines IKEA is the bigger than the Alexandra outlet. So there is a huge product range. If you know what is the exact product that you are going to buy it's better note down the product number (Ex:193.054.59) from the online site. Then it's very easy to find out the item in store. Because many staff members are not helpful with finding the products. Some are helpful. But not all the time. So you have to find out what you exactly need yourself. The food court is crowded in the weekends. Have to stand in the queue for some time.
The products are really good. Some are bit expensive. Some are very reasonable price. These products are durable, easy to assemble. Mix and match all the items under one roof is the best thing in here. IKEA transportation is available but if you need a cheaper transportation, there is a counter for that near the checkout area(Not 100% sure that service is available all the time)
Biggest IKEA in Singapore.
Good selection of home furniture.
Great food selection.
Free parking
What else do I need 😊
Today 13 Jan 2024: Uhmmmm.. there is Bak kwa (Barbeque Pork) in the midst of the tableware and cutlery area? Is this the righful place? Not a designated area for Pork? Very shocked and puzzling.
Just here purely for the food. The standard is consistent and really enjoy the local nasi lemak. Wings are nice as always and often crowded even during non peak. Also got some frozen meatballs back including their signature hot dogs.
Great place to chill. Creativity overload by the staff. Always a good hangout place for the family. Good food and free parking
Has all the requisites for home furnishing. Easy shopping for items. Ths place is large and is of mega size (singapore standard). Well laid out, neat, tidy and clean for easy and unobstructed browsing. A return service as well for incompatible purchases. It is well managed. Local food and ikea choice eats are available at upper level. Quick eats are at exit check out. Carpark is huge without the need tp pay. Toilets are well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We went there to redeem the Princess Cake for my daughters since she was 13 and at the same time having our dinner there. This was her favourite past time when she was young as she can spend an hour in their children play area. But our younger daughter isn't that keen with their play area... As usual, it wasn't easy to find an empty table in the restaurant although it was just slightly after 5pm. Their fried chicken wings is still the best but it is a bit oily.
50¢ refillable coffee with cream and sugar .. surprising tasty then morning Maxdonan.. coffee... Will visit again just for the coffee..
Huge carpark. Huge restaurant. Many showrooms. That is what I like. Some showrooms have been updated. Everything you need. I come here quite frequently. And I will find something to buy. Latest food addition is plant based meat balls. Curry puff is great.
Spacious restaurant with wide variety of food, comes at affordable prices too! The signature meatballs are a must try, and the chicken wing (local favourite) is also worth ordering. Did not find the lamb shank with rendang sauce appealing. Overall, good for value meal and great for gatherings.
I just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to Peter Tan for making my IKEA experience so enjoyable at Tampines branch. You truly went above and beyond!
𝐼 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑙 𝑓𝑜𝑜𝑑..
𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑙𝑐𝑐𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑏𝑖𝑔 ..
Super long queue at their cafeteria. We didn’t know we are required to scan QR code for queue number till we ask the staff guarding the entry door. The salmon was super pathetic size for $11, compare to previous portion they definitely reduced the size of it. The chicken wing today was good though not burnt, previously we ever receive dry and overcooked chicken. The meatballs certainly is good but its funny to pair with jam and sauce. Their dessert was average only.
Our family’s fave spot. Some of the items are cheaper than in USA Ikea. Plan a trip including a lunch at the cafe. Remember to order the chicken wings and end off your visit with their soya ice cream at @S$0.50.
Everything you need for your home under one roof. From the living room to the dining room to the kitchen to the bedroom to the toilet....... the list goes on and on and on........ and do not forget to eat here while you are at it -> meatballs and hotdogs 👍🏻
Not too many people today even on Sunday (suggest to go early if want to avoid crowd). Dine in is full so better buy takeaway at L1 carpark. The lady staff never wastes time and is very fast to take and give our food orders. Even faster than normal fastfood. 😆
Great place to shop for furniture and they have smaland playroom where kids get to play for free for an hour so that parents can shop with ease. when kids are hungry after play, there’s Swedish Bistro where snacks are available. Hot dog are priced at $1 and Soya ice-cream $0.50!
Fantastic place to have some idea on kitchen bathroom concept. .
Have not been to and dine at IKEA for a while. The restaurant is renovated with new and more seatings. Prices of food are higher now but still affordable. E.g. 6 pcs chicken wings cost $8.90, breakfast set (croissant+ hotdog + hash brown + scramble egg + baked beans) costs $5.50. Coffee and tea are still $0.50 each cup, free for members!
Hmmm IKEA... obviously i can't review this place unless the review is positive 😅.
IKEA is great without doubt and it caters to a lot of customers across income streams.
But, do i like IKEA ? Na, if i had the choice i would certainly avoid it.
To give you an example I was at IKEA Tampines yday. The people were visiting IKEA in droves. Unimaginable. These are Covid times and currently there is an Omicron scare / omicron cases surge in Singapore. Under such circumstances I would have expected better people flow management by IKEA just like they did at their restaurant.
But that was not to be, there were people everywhere and honestly it was difficult to even buy something. Eventually i bought something that was needed. The queue at the cashier while not too bad , still did require me to queue and wait.
Oh yea there were no social distancing ambassadors , none that i could locate.
Customer service staff were almost non existent on a day like yesterday. 😌😥.
I am pretty sure that IKEA is aware of the situation on the ground and they could have certainly anticipated the huge number of weekend customers and offered better service.
Still, I'll give them a 4🌟 since they carry a vast and humongous variety of products. With the huge crowd it was impossible for me to survey / look at the entire range of products on display and i gave up.
Love the cafe and restaurant foods, curry puff is delicious 5pcs for $6 (previous $5) , Hot Dog with unlimited ketchup & mustard $1 only , chocolate donuts 4pcs for $4
Its my first time visiting ikea. Setting was good, so was the lighting, feels warm like home. But the crowd were bad bad bcs its sunday. Wanted to go to the restaurant but also very crowd. Maybe next time.
A place where all singaporeaan will definitely visit once in a lifetime especially for new home owners! They've got tons of creative ideas on how to setup a new room, from baby to adults to dining and living rooms... their decorations and furnishing is always changing and updated regularly! It changes with festive seasons... There's also a "As-Is" area at counter 22 near check out! There's a play area for kids. Nice restaurants with yummy food (especially chicken wings)!
Was in a very long queue on a rainy Friday dinner. Lobster spaghetti sauce was quite disappointing cos of the overwhelming chilli sauce used for dipping fries. Unlike what we expected. Other than that we enjoyed the lobster meat, meatballs and chix wings. Got a $10 off discount voucher for our shopping that day! Used it to offset the laundry stuff I bought.
This place is huge with so many things to see and also cheap food option available. Free parking is available! The interior is like a maze though, and you have to walk through all sections to reach the cashier.
Will always have fun at ikea :>
IKEA is the biggest home decorating goods and interiors furniture designed mall . The staff's are really helpful. It's really a great place to spend some time with family. It's really a fabulous place for those who are going to get marry or thinking for get on new apartment he will be getting all kind of things in a mall. It will be very easy to pick up his needed things by at a glance. So I think it's really a place fun to walk and explore .Very important thing IKEA has it's own shuttle bus for the people , so that they can reach their destination comfortly.
Great place to walk when have nothing to do. Free parking with good food
Went there around 3pm and the food area was super packed! Only waited around 20mins as the line kept moving.
Both chicken and vegan friendly briyanis were out of stock when we were ordering. Had the steak instead and it was so heavily spiced - personally not a fan but people seem to enjoy it 🤷🏻♀️
Wanted to try out their Turtle and Shark Baos but they only had the Shark one in stock. $2 per bao and I think it's a decent price for novelty. The bao was a little bit thick and the read bean paste was on the sweeter side. Bought some home and they steam back up quite well too! Happy with our Ikea lunch 👍
The place is a nice place to shop but the food area was a little crowded
My first time to IKEA Tampines. I usually go to Alexandra due to location. I must say i am very impressed with the huge layout and thier servuce excellence. Staff were readily there to answer you when help needed. They make you feel at home thats for sure. Best of all free parking hahahaha. Will be back definitely.
The Place so big , look like home touring. Not all products that's display on the shop are available, some products are out of stock. But of course must wait for them, if you want to, can change your mind if you found something better. I think has settled bus to go there, if you take MRT only I'm not sure can , maybe u can combine to take MRT and bus as well. Just try it!
Free drinks and nice food.
Free carpark. One of the best place to enjoy with your love ones.
Merry Christmas Happy New Year 2023!
Largest IKEA store in Singapore. Conveniently located and you can get almost everything IKEA has to offer here. Easy pickup bay helps a lot. Restaurant system can be improved to ease long queue time.
My feedback is related to Online Purchase, not IKEA Tampines.
But since there is no such entry in Google Map, I added it to IKEA Tampines. It doesnt matter. It is the same company.
Nice companies abound, but sometimes the people running them and the management make it stink.
I ordered a Luroy online, and paid for delivery. It arrived soaked in rain. Luroy is a wooden product. Tell me whatever finishing or coating it went through, it is still wood. The Luroy will be the foundation of the raised bed mattress. It is therefore a safety issue.
I suggest Ikea to rethink how the delivery of the Luroy should be. Maybe, they should wrap in a plastic or something.
They replaced it.
I reported the issue to suggest improvements, but they dont reply. That is why I gave a 3 points, in 4 or 5. Somebody out there stinks in that company.
I suggest to buyers that this is a great company, and you just have to watch out for yourself, if the item will be delivered, and it is a product that can get harmed by Singapore weather (rain, in this case), during delivery. Ask them how they will deliver it. The delivery is .. I forgot, I think 80$, and therefore, should be a premium cared delivery, instead of a stinky delivery.
Another issue that customers need to be careful about when dealing with Ikea, is that the delivery fee is non-refundable, regardless of if anything is delivered or not (in case of cancelled order, for example). If anything is not delivered, no effort was done. How can the delivery fee not be reversible? Before you commit on delivery, you have to be sure (like a psychic who can see the future), that you will not cancel the delivery.
Nordic design at affordable prices. Showroom gives plenty of ideas. Free parking. The Lalamove delivery service is quite good - same day delivery, and prices are okay (~$40), and you take follow the van if you don't have your own transport. The delivery guys are positive and friendly. IKEA furniture is cheap for a reason - need to DIY. Quite satisfied with my new WFH setup.
Overall foods and items fine but during the payment didn’t informed free delivery above $500 also in service counter.
Great place to grab a meal.
The favourite department has been the kitchen cabinet. There is so many ways I can turn it into something else.
I've done up a store room, built a wardrobe and office desk all using the kitchen cabinet parts from IKEA.
The best of all, most of the drawers are made by Blum in Austria but selling at a fraction of the price of what Blum is selling outside.
Same quality just got cheaper because if the IKEA label.
Nothing much to rave about
Food is consistent
Garlic bread made similar to the BreadTalk one - they use wholemeal bread instead of white bread
Plus point was my friend and I had a free cup of coffee each using IKEA family card
Ikea Tampines is huge and spacious showroom furniture store that comes with its own cafeteria serving Swedish food and some local delights. You can expect crowds even on a weekday in the middle of the week. Many came to eat, drink and shop as well as enjoy the aircon. There are plenty of parking spaces with its equally huge carpark and it is free parking. So definitely a good choice for folks to drive there, park for free and enjoy some snacks plus do a bit of window shopping. The food seriously is average and not as nice compared to when it first started. Maybr more crowds now so quality controls slacken? Or maybe Ikea does not want people to just come to Ikea for food and forgot to shop for its nice furnitures? Anyway, it is still a great place to source for great home improvement, home furnishing, home decorations and place to rest and relax with some snacks.
Always a nice place to chill and check out the latest furnitures and fittings. Getting more creative with offerings.
I would like to compliment Citra for her excellent service and pleasant personality. She is very helpful and friendly. Citra, thank you very much!
I've always loved the positive vibes this place gives as it's truly spacious and pleasing to the eyes with their array of lovely furniture display. Alas, I was disappointed with my visit yesterday as the very item I needed (clothes hooks behind bedroom door as seen in picture) had been discontinued though still displayed in one of their many showrooms. Nevertheless, I was glad to make other purchases such as the door mat for my main door entrance.😊
#IKEA is definitely a place for everything you need to buy furniture that you need in a hurry! Although the place was kinda messy but the staff was friendly and helpful. (They were like missing for a short period of time.)
Abundance of free parking lots that has never run out. Multiple options to enjoy their good food and drinks, from restaurant, stand-up bistro to takeaway kiosk. I gave 4 stars because restaurant is often crowded and hard to find seats. Happy to see a few seats with high chairs and power point sockets at the restaurant for use of laptops or charging of devices.
Reasons I love IKEA:
1. I can hit my 10k steps for the day 🤭
2. IKEA CAFE!!!
3. Cheaper prices for white sofas heh heh
4. No plastic bags
It is big and lovely! Always fun to visit. New layouts refreshed every now and then. Visited recently and had a great time browsing the different room setups for furnishing ideas. Spent 2hrs there and haven't even seen half the room models. Will be back soon!
To be honest, what I loved most about IKEA was, ironically, their food. Still, they offer a plentiful of creative ideas for home furnishing. The furniture here look decent and simple; very low-priced and occasionally they might display some unique ones too. Like I said, what I came here was for their food. The meatballs were fantastic. Their mushroom soup had a mild fragrant taste that made a perfect snack in between the shopping. Would have rated IKEA Tampines a 5-star if their Salmon didnt have the weird fishy smell.
There's a reason why they're all over the world. They have tons of furniture. Like it's mostly furniture. They're a furniture store. It's also fun to play hide and seek here. I bought a table lamp, the Riggad, it cost a cool S$99. I also purchased a bedside table for my bed side. The fun part is when you get home and assemble the stuff. It's like adult Lego. I had fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHOPPING HERE.
Usually before I leave I have to get a hotdog, it's tradition. Only $1.
Alwaya nice place to eat & shop. Free coffee too! (...with a catch!)
nice furniture, food, and 50¢ ice cream
One of two IKEA outlets in Singapore and the biggest. Plenty of parking lots, taxis, buses and shuttle buses to head there if you don't drive. Just take not that of course weekends will be more crowded than not unless you arrive here really early. Do take note that the show rooms only open at 10.30am
Weekday less crowded. Now ikea have smart home products
Many different types of furnitures & Home accessories 🤗
One star less for unfriendly staffs 😅
Very helpful and friendly staff.
They have everything your family needs in a home, from curtains, photo frames, utensils, furniture etc. And a family restaurant at affordable pricing.
IKEA Halal family restaurant and bakery. A must stop if you are in Tampines! They maintain their food quality despite coping with high popularity and demand unlike many other popular establishments where quality ended up compromised.
Shopping at IKEA buying dinning table and chairs later dinner at simpang bedok my children
What else is there to say about this place? The go to place for affordable furniture and etc, especially for first time home owers. Also for their must have meatballs and chicken wings.
There are too many parking spaces here, which are free, and there are four charging piles, which are charged, S$0.45 per kilowatt.
The IKEA Tampines store is the largest of the three stores in Singapore, and the parking lot is also very large with ample parking spaces. The environment is very good, and it is more relaxing and comfortable to stroll around inside. If you are not buying big items, parking on the second floor will make it easier to enter the mall.
Of course, many people go there not to buy anything, but mainly to eat in their restaurants. Went for a meal with colleagues recently. It took about 20 minutes to queue. Fortunately, we found a seat quickly that day. It would be difficult to find a seat on weekends or holidays.
I ordered a few popular dishes and felt very full. The price is moderate, definitely more expensive than a food court, but compared to a restaurant, it feels okay. Mainly experience the lively atmosphere here.
Traveling is easy and convenient. There is a free shuttle bus from Bedok mall. Just a 15 minute ride.
There are a lot of things to choose from.
The largest shopping mall specializing in furniture and household appliances in Singapore. There is a designated area for children and a convenient fast food area right at the entrance.
The overall environment is clean, bright and comfortable. The well-planned circulation makes it very easy for me to go shopping, and there are many choices. In particular, the food at the IKEA restaurant is very delicious, and the desserts are also good, but the drinks are probably better than coffee.
Chicken wings, curry puff are delicious...🤣🤣
There are many parking spaces, no need to wait for a parking space...
There are also facilities for children to play. I often go to cafes because they are cheap.
Feel free to enjoy the interior
Very unique products are there. The staff is not friendly. Free shuttle service is there from the tampines interchange.
It’s a wonderful place for not only shopping but also for window shopping and food
