Reviews of Singapore Cable Car
It was a smooth ride, and entire circle from mount Faber to Sentosa and back to starting point is within 25-30 min. It was a good experience. Feels slow at times, but you get lost looking at the view around and below.
I recently visited Singapore for a business trip, and since I was short on time, I decided to visot Sentosa via the Cable car. It was a great decision since the cable car ride offered fantastic evening views and took me straight to Soloso beach. The connection is from Faber to impiah layout. Change the cable car there to next one that is just across the road, and that one takes you to the beach. This beach is beautiful, has activities and food options and a jetty walk over the water. There we no queues since this was a weekday evening time.
It was a quick and beautiful outing.
Highly Recommended
Good experience, do it—relatively short one and easy to understand and use. Try the two lines; they're very quick.
It is a bit pricey BUT, you can go into Santosa Island and get a fantastic view of all the island has to offer. We got the cable cars that have a clear.l.acrylic bottom giving you a vore of the scenery from above. These "gondolas" do cost a bit extra and I am not sure those are.worth the extra $15.
Do note that these capsules do not have AC and are hot.
Views include: the beaches, the golf course, the casino, and Universal Studios.
Buying tickets at the counter is also available. Went in the evening when there was literally less crowd. Took both Mount Faber and Sentosa line. From before sunset till after. Get to witness both views. Great rides for kids. Best is to get onto the car, loop one round before alighting at the next station to maximize the time in the car.
Great views of Singapore and Sentosa island. Tickets cost $25, which includes cable car rides from Singapore (Mount Faber or Harbourfront) to Sentosa island and cable car rides within the island.
Not too bad. It is the same as every cable car at tourist spot. Good view and well maintain cable car is a plus.
The cable car ride from Mt Faber offers a fantastic view, especially of the harbor and Sentosa Island. Opting for a one-way trip provided us with breathtaking sights, making it a definite recommendation, especially on clear days for the best experience.
Singapore Cable Car celebrates its 50th anniversary with the launch of the new SkyOrb Cabins on the Mount Faber Line.Newly launched on 20 March 2024, the 7 SkyOrb Cabins offer a one-of-a-kind guest experience.World’s first spherical shape with sleek chrome finish: The spherical design of the SkyOrb Cabins breaks the boundaries of traditional cable car aesthetics, offering a futuristic and captivating look.See-through glass floors: Gaze down at stunning landscapes beneath your feet. See Mount Faber Peak, Harbourfront, and Sentosa from a whole new perspective.Lighted Ring: Be mesmerised by the illuminating glow cast by the lighted rings around the cabin windows.Enhanced ventilation: Get a more comfortable, breezy journey with an improved design of the window louvres.
We accidentally took a grab to mount faber 😅 but hey, it was worth it. the view is spectacular! We got on the cable car at mount faber instead.
Everything went smoothly. We bought tickets for both Sentosa and Mt Faber lines, and since we are a group of five with two wheelchairs, the staff were kind enough to let us through without getting off till the very end. The only thing that can be improved is that this service be operated to run approx 30 mins before sunrise, as the view across Sg (or anywhere else) is prettiest during this time of the day.
Also, in July, it rains a lot in Sg in the afternoons but mornings are usually dry so probably best to have morning cable car rides then afternoons.
Good experience, do it—relatively short one and easy to understand and use. Try the two lines; they're very quick.
Don't confuse yourself; buy tickets at the counter. You can ask questions there. There are accommodating staff.
I personally regret purchasing the Mount Faber line for this trip. There's not much to see there. A lot of the viewing points were blocked by trees. But we're enjoying the ride with the Sentosa Line as that's where the entertainment is.
Lovely clean and quiet cable cars. When we visited they were celebrating the 50th year of Hello Kitty so all the cable cars were decorated with that livery. Very cute!! No wait, no queues at 10am.
Kudos to the staff for recommending to us to take going to Mt. Faber first then back again all the way to Sentosa. HarbourFront-Sentosa had a 1hr waiting time but going to Mt. Faber is only 10mins.
Such an amazing experience. There are 2 types of cable cars -1 is with glass floor-it’s definitely worth it-you can take an amazing pictures there and see the Singapore from the hight.
The view over the trees and water is incredible. Do not miss!
Very good activity for a half day tour or if you are flexible with time then you can spend a full day enjoyment in the park on the Southern Island.
Crowded bcos it was a 50th Anniversary seniors-ride-free Tuesday in March. Cable Car staff very politely and efficiently moved the queue and helped elderly and infirm riders during the 30min wait. Not too long considering there were tour groups and big groups of local seniors. Kudos to the excellent staff from the start of the queue, ticket checkers, boarding staff and manager! All were so helpful to seniors and families. Thank you for a fab joy ride!
We took the newly launched Skyorb Cable car and it was a wonderful experience to watch many Sentosa attractions, Ferries, Cruises, Vivocity etc with the transparent floor. It felt like a drone view / Bird’s eye view and a very good experience to watch.
Lovely experience to view the skyline...ac not avlble in the car and in the hot temperatures of Singapore can be a little troublesome....
But makes up with amazing views of the city ...
5 on 5 experience
We didn't book tickets in advance and there was no need to as you could jump straight on. I do advise booking the tickets on your phone as you do save 10%. Even on a round trip you are able to get off at each destination, have a look around and then jump back on for the next destination. We had a really good time
A wonderful experience with fantastic views and safe, comfortable cars. The various stations also allow you to tour key areas on the island. Make sure to check their official site for great discounts. I got 50% off for unlimited rides.
Visited Sentosa Island via cable car as it was a must do (so I was told).
Thankfully the line wasn't too long, and it moved quickly.
The Team were very efficient and the price was reasonable for a full day pass.
As you can imagine the views were spectacular from all sides.
We took a second cable car to the beach and it had windows you could open or close.
All cars had aircon which wasn't bad.
Certainly a great way to visit Sentosa and the beach area.
The views were certainly worth it and its a generally fast ride.
Easy enough to get to and super easy to book online. There wasn’t a line when we arrived so we were able to jump straight on to the cable car and the same heading back. When we went they had Pokémon theme running which was super cute
The cable car in Singapore is a unique and exciting way to explore the city. It provides stunning aerial views of the city skyline, the harbor, and Sentosa Island. The cable car is also a convenient mode of transportation for those visiting Sentosa Island, as it provides a direct link between the island and the mainland.
The cable car ride takes approximately 15 minutes each way, and during this time, passengers have the opportunity to take in the breathtaking sights. The cabins are spacious and comfortable, with large windows that offer unobstructed views of the surrounding areas.
Overall, the cable car in Singapore is a highly recommended experience for both locals and tourists alike. It offers a unique and memorable way to explore the city, while also providing convenient transportation to Sentosa Island. If you're looking for a fun and exciting activity in Singapore, the cable car is definitely worth checking out.
Note: Friendly for Senior visitors, baby and toddler.
Amazing views you wouldn’t be normally see! But for $30, you’ve get a restricted view because of hello kitty… (to preface, I love hello kitty, but not when you’re paying a lot to just enjoy a nice scenic route). It felt like advertising for the sake of it.
I really like taking the cable car up to 3 times in a row every time I go to Sentosa🥰
This year, 2024, the Singapore Cable Car celebrates it's 50th years anniversary with complimentary ride for senior Singaporean for several days during Feb & Mar.
Started it's operation in 1974 till present, it had since underwent several upgrading, rebuilding, modernising, to increasing it's passenger carrying capacity.
In 2015, a new intra-island line called Sentosa Line was added to the existing Line, now known as Mount Faber Line.
The Sentosa Line is not directly link to the Mt Faber Line.
There is a short walk to Imbiah Lookout Station.
Sentosa Line link Siloso to Imbiah Lookout to Merlion Station.
We buy the sky pass in Traveloka so we get one round trip on the Mount Faber Line and another one round trip on the Sentosa Line.
To get into the cable car station, you need to go to the 2nd floor of vivocity and follow the direction to the outside of the mall.
I prefer the sentosa line as the view is much prettier, you can see the sea and even take a picture above a cruise lol
The staff is kind and helpful too
We took the cable car to and fro Sentosa. It's a lovely ride up that shows you a different side to Singapore. Purchase the tickets ahead of your visit, you can avoid the long queues and maybe even get discounted fares
Great way to avoid jams and crowds to get into sentosa. Parked at Faber park, rode to sentosa station, bussed to resorts world. Queues were long but it moves pretty fast.
First experience. Cable car inside totally no fan or air-condition so afternoon if taking it's very hot. But luckily is door there have small windows, still have little bit wind comes in.
Great for view of Singapore with family.
Operating hours have changed due to COVID. Advisable to call in and check before heading down.
Valet services available at an affordable price. Better than having to park your car on your own further away from the station.
Restaurants available (non-Halal) and great for big groups too.
Fly above the jungle, over buildings and water from Mt Faber to the island of Sentosa. A ticket that includes the cable car to Fort Siloso is SHD35. An effortless and scenic trip.
Must do if you want to go to Sentosa! Great view.
You can book online for a cheaper price.
8 people can enter the cabine. Pets are not allowed.
Enjoy a lovely cable car ride while taking in the beautiful views of Singapore city.
Short cable ride ride. Came during the free day for seniors. View was nice but not sure if worth the actual retail price
Great view all throughout the journey
Depends when you are going, if its night, there is barely anything you can see, but during the day the views can be pretty, the sun still hits strong here so be cautious. The stop on VivoCity is actually perfect and you can chill out there if you want to.
I have fond memories of Mt Faber because my maternal uncle brought me here with his girlfriend when i was very very young. Thought it was a starry starry night and breezy.
Many years later, joined an overnite trek from Mt Faber to Kent Ridge with a school of students. Fun adventure.
Not a very accessible location, unless you have your own transport or walk up here, else just cable car.
Hot during the day, an evening visit should be ideal.
I bought a joint ticket for both the Sentosa and Mt Faber Cable Cars. They are both awesome. Be sure and visit Fort Silosa from the top of the Sentosa Line. Mt Faber is very high up at certain points, so there are amazing views to be had. Be sure to walk at least part of the Mount Faber Loop when you get to the Mount Faber Station, as the views are great and there are some unique things to see! 😀👍
Cable car was ok, but I didn't feel it provided any more spectacular views than you could get anywhere else nearby. It was also very high going over the water, which combined with strong winds made for an unpleasant journey.
Nice experience, a little confusing at first with the two lines and knowing whether you have to get off or can stay on, and the ticket counter staff were extremely rude. Nonetheless the cable car was nice.
Great views and lots to do when your there. 3 different cable cars mean you have time to get off and see different areas
Superb.....Great value for money.. well recommend Sentosa Island and its white sand beaches
Nice ride. Every friends who come singapore will bring them over for a ride.
Recommend to take the ride around 5oclock - 7 o'clock. Where you can enjoy the scenery of sunset view and different of day and night light.
Purchase the ride that come with 6 Station will be more worth it with some topups. So every station you can alight to have some photo taking .
Although along many years there is some hiccup of the cable car. But I would say singapore will maintain and have a professional team to services it well.
Consider purchase with DBS/POSB to enjoy more discount for the ride.
At Sentosa cable I was struck with my mother who was not able to walk because of too much walking for two days sight seeing. Deepa who saw my mother's problem came to us and helped us - by guiding us in person to the place to catch beach station bus. Myself and my family will never forget Deepa's help. God bless her.
This was one of our highlights in our Singapore trip. It was like seeing the whole Singapore. We had fun and there are many IG worthy spots in the whole trip!
Cable car with Pokemon theme. A bit hot inside, but there is a good view from there. The price is quite expensive.
Loved the experience. Sentosa island scenic view was just too good.
From MRT Harbor front stop
Select the Vivo Express combo with Cable car tickets to save some money
Cable car will stop at Universal Studio and pristine beach is the last stop
Then another Cable ride to complete your trip
Buy an annual Faber Membership if you enjoy riding the cable car like I do! It’s really nice to re-visit at different times of the day as you get to see different things (and the weather is different too)!
It can get quite windy in the evening (especially when travelling from HarbourFront to Mount Faber - the stretch where you travel over the waters), so be prepared for the cable car to swing pretty vigorously.
Special shout-out to Catherine, Kelvin, and team who very efficiently and professionally helped me to recover my lost laptop in just 10 minutes. Thankfully it came back in one piece!
Stunning view of Singapore, definitely worth a ride
Fun ride! it provided some great views of sentosa island. Takes about 15min to reach from mt Faber to sentosa.
Would recommend to buy tickets in advance.
My friend and I went to Sentosa Island in June 2023 and we did all of the tourist attractions by the cable car company. One of the ladies, Karen, who was our bus tour guide was absolutely incredible. She has such a beautiful personality and her friendliness and eagerness made the tour absolutely wonderful. She was extremely helpful and had so much knowledge. We were also very lucky to have seen this rare bird. The tourist attractions on Sentosa are a must do, especially the bus tour! 😁
Bit disappointing really. The cable car rides are fine but we found the staff at every stop to be disinterested and pretty unhelpful. When you get off at Sentosa there’s a gift shop, a Starbucks that never opened all the time we were there and not much else.
Another new experience riding the Cable Car on Sentosa Island, Singapore. We were so lucky to be the only people in our car. Amazing views as we descended.
At the bottom, we walked to the mall and enjoyed the comparative coolness after the heat outside.
If you want to see a grandiose site in Singapore, the cable car is the perfect choice. There are two lines: Sentosa line and Mount Faber line. We took the Mount Faber line which took us to the mountain view. It was amazing.
Huge and special thanks to the staff - Deepa for accommodating with our special request and arrangement.
Proposal went smoothly, all thanks to her
We took both line sentosa and mount faber, the kids was having lot of fun. The view was pretty good.
We got the maximum ticket at the counter on site. For 60 SGD (2 people). This meant we could drive both routes. Great view, worth it.
Tickets for 2 cable routes are 35 SGD,
From the cable, you can see the whole of Sentosa. Through 2 cable lines leading straight to the game complex and the beach.
From the station you can go up to Fort Siloso or back towards the long beach.
No waiting, no need to book tickets. Allows you to travel to several points (“road trip”). Negative point: no air conditioning in the cabins :/
I used it to go to Sentosa Island.
Great view!
but
Inside the cable car
hot!
Steam bath sauna state!
We should install air conditioning equipment.
The cable car that goes to and from Sentosa Island has a nice view of the sea and the bottom.
The cable car is quite nice. Unfortunately it rained and the view was therefore limited. But you can do it when you are in Singapore
