My hair was in a mess and I decided to go to Govin to look for Alex, who was recommended by one of my friends. Alex is very meticulous throughout the whole process to make sure you get the best results. I did a haircut and a perm afterwards, to my surprise my damaged hair reacted very well with the treatment. Alex kindly explained to me that they're using a new technology that does not damage your hair further for the perm. Overall, I'm superrrr happy with the results snd got complimented by everyone I met in the evening. Highly recommendrd guys! But do make an appointment because they don't accept walk ins!

It has been 15 years since I last did a highlight. Heard about Alex from my bestie and decided to try it out. The result is amazing. Alex did a colour style called Balayage. Under the light, can see ash purple highlight that looks elegant and not too vibrant and as a purple lover, I really love the colour. Will recommend Alex to my friend! A key highlight, his salon uses organic hair dye and treatment that will leave your hair feeling smooth and not dry like traditional hair dye!

If you are looking for a detail-oriented hair stylist who is professional and sincere, I highly recommend doing your hair with Alex. I headed to the salon with no idea in mind, but Alex patiently talked through the different color and styles I could choose from - to ensure I am satisfied with the end result. Hair Stylist Alex managed to transform my dead & badly damaged hair to a luscious metallic ash Grey color with a hint of blue & purple highlight ! I feel like a totally new person after going to the salon. The place is easily reachable via bus and public transport too. I wanted red colour but my hair was simply too damaged so he recommended doing a keratin treatment which made my hair super smooth and it smelled great too. I don’t like doing treatments because it flattens the top of my head but Shine handled it very well and as u can tell there’s still volume at the top! And I have not cut bangs in 20 years but Shine did an amazing job and I look younger hahaha! Can’t wait for my next visit!

I've visited this salon for the 2nd time, and I was tended to by Shine twice. So far I find his cut fairly good, however, my only gripe about this place is that their appointment timing is horrendous! We had made an appointment and was told to come by at 2pm. We've reached the place early at around 1.50pm and was ushered to their 2nd floor. During that time, Shine was in midst of serving another customer. I'm not sure if Shine had just started on this customer, as he seemed to be washing this customer's hair, then cut, etc..., but we were made to wait for almost an hour before he came to serve us!! And when he came over, he did not even offer any apologies whatsoever!! If he could have informed us or at least give us a heads-up that he had just started on the customer, then we won't be wasting our time seated/waiting there and could have used that time to move around to explore the vicinity and then come back later! Overall, I give this a WEAK 3 stars (it should be 2.5 stars). 1 star for Shine's cut, and another 1.5 star for the food haven vicinity. I can't find any other reasons to give more stars.

My go to place for non-amoniac, safer options for hair coloring. Alex is super attentive and nice, he asked what color the client wants to achieve and works from there. My previous hair stylists always told me that it’s almost impossible for my dark red hair to achieve a light caramel brown that I’ve wisher for. Alex adviced me to apply the color gradually instead. So that’s what I have and happy with how the color turns out now :)

I gave Alex my preferences and based on his experience, he analysed for me which hairstyle suits me better. He knew that I preferred a pixie style for convenience sake but yet wanted to look feminine at the same time. Hence, Alex skillfully layered my hair and gave me a short balayage in light Ash, baby highlights on both sides and brown as the base. I totally loved the different effect it gave me at different stages and lightings. From the subtle Ash blue under indoor lighting, to a bright Ash teal under the sunlight. Gradually, it turned Ash blond and right now, though it has faded off but still, the highlights blended in well with the brown base. I personally feel that the overall effect complimented my skin tone and personality quite well. And the products used are organic and ammonia-free! No nasty smell at all through out the entire process. Alex have won me over with his friendliness and workmanship. Thank you for creating those beautiful highlights!
