I’ve been to Picasso a few times and have always requested for Nicole. She definitely knows hair. After every appointment, I feel confident with the new cut and curls. I’ve always had long hair that weighed really heavy and made the top of my head very flat. I also don’t know much about curls but she made them just look so beautiful. A current customer and will always return!

So impressed with Elly. Finally went to see her, after reviewing at all the gorgeous work she has done on instagram. What I am looking for I think is quite specific (volume lift ONLY on top-side angle, keeping hair on the top flat, also I didn’t want hair to be too curly, and wanted keep the existing perm untouched, etc!). Other stylists would probably give me a weird look but Elly took the time to patiently understand me and answered my questions on chats even before I went to see her. She made some creative suggestion on what needed to be done, and I’m so happy with the result. By the way I am quite picky - I have searched & tried a lot of highly-reviewed perm stylists over past years. Noone understood my needs like this and I felt I needed to put this review. Booked my first appointment at Picasso and had no preference in stylist. And was pleasantly surprised when Nicole had such attention to detail and gave honest suggestions that would be best for my hair. I’m familiar with being upsold with treatments and products but there was none of that at Picasso and Nicole listed price points from the most affordable to something a little more expensive but would be for a more holistic treatment. I went with what was comfortable for me without feeling like I was pressured. Nicole also read my personality well as I valued my quiet time during the treatment but also made me feel comfortable by checking in on me and getting to know me. My treatment took a couple of hours but the Crew made me feel right at home. I wanted to do a treatment that would help manage my frizzy and slightly wavy hair without being stick straight and Nicole did just that! After a few weeks of wear, my hair is manageable and the cut has grown out well!

It was a really great experience doing my hair cut and doing my highlights here. Ive been here before and i really enjoy both of the times here. My hairstylist, Nike was able to recommend me to some styles and hair colour that would suit me. Although, the last time i came here was 10 months ago, Nike still remembers me and the haircut i wanted without having to explain to her. Update: 2024 May. Second visit now, with Evon Yow once again and it was wonderful! Reviewing a month late as I forgot to do it immediately at the time, but one month on, I can confirm that the perm is holding up perfectly. What stands out to me with Evon is the fact that the perm was really bespoke to my needs and face shape — which we established the first time I visited, and from then on, it’s been easy to request it again :)) but secondly and equally importantly, the perm is so fuss free to take care of! It’s easy to get a perm to look good the first week or two, but what also stands out for me at Picasso/with Evon is that the good style stays for a long time while being easy to maintain. I trace it to really well-thought out layer cuts and curling, but that’s a non-specialist speaking haha! 2023: Came here on a friend’s recommendation and I couldn’t be more grateful that I did. I’m not someone who has a lot of experience with hair so I was worried about having to turn up knowing what style I want/what services I should request etc., but Evon perfectly eased my worries and was professional, friendly and consultative from start to finish. Started off with having a conversation about what I want and slowly worked toward me a style that she felt suited me. The end product completely exceeded my expectations! Overall, really satisfied with my visit here (on a side note, the refreshments services at Picasso were also really lovely. Got offered a huge basket of goodies once I sat down, and because I was sitting there for quite a few hours, staff members also periodically checked in on me on whether I wanted a refill of tea etc.). Think I’ll be making this my go-to salon from now on! ☺️

Elly is the best hairstylist ever!! I went there for a perm and she was thoughtful and patient in explaining the process to me, and even including suitable colours for my skin tone as well as letting me know what I should expect from the perm. i had the absolute best experience here at picasso hair studio (north bride branch). as soon as i go in, i was ushered to a vacant seat and was offered a platter of snacks as well as my drink of choice. i came here to do a perm as i heard lots of good reviews. my hair stylist for the day was, Envo !! i really appreciated her help with helping me find my perfect perm hairstyle that suits my facial features, hair length and hair maintenance. the whole perm proceeds took about 3 and a half hours. the service was wonderful and the whole perm process was informative and seamless. i am so grateful for Envo’s help and for how perfect my hair looks !!

Did hair straightening / rebounding at Picasso (my second time doing rebounding here!) and am really happy with my hair! I had super curly hair that is fuzzy and hard to manage. I did rebounding at other hair salons before, but none of them did a job as good as Picasso! My hair is silky smooth and shiny now and I love it!!! My stylist Evon is the sweetest too! She is a perfectionist and is very detailed oriented, she patiently answered all my questions about how to take care of hair even days after my visit. Jesly was my hairstylist, and she is very detailed in her steps and tailored the style to suit my face shape. I did a Advante soft rebonding and haircut and was attended to by Jeremy . He was very meticulous in his haircut, making sure he did not over cut my fringe. I also asked for a more natural look, with a c curl at the hair end if possible. I wasn’t for the option of adding on a perm to create the c curl.Jeremy was careful to leave part of the root un-straightened to create a more natural look. To my surprise, he also tried to get a slight c curl with the flat iron and a hair curler. The outcome was exactly what I like. Very happy with the results. Thanks Jeremy .

Evon is highly experienced, and I am very satisfied with the perm, the total costs was about $489 ($469 + $20 creative director). The stylists do rotate around during the process (especially during treatment, washing and blow drying of hair). Her colleagues also gave good tips on how to care of my hair and how to blow dry. Evon also followed up via Instagram message with videos on tips to blow drying the perms.

Carmen at Picasso always works miracles with my hair! Since the expansion, the salon has been much brighter and homelier, and so easy to find! The location of it makes it easily accessible from the MRT. Staff are upfront about the cost and know what's best for your hair. So do listen to their advice! :)

Had my first balayage hair colouring on Monday and it was an awesome experience. My hairdresser, Sky, is a very gentle guy with good colouring skills. I was so indecisive to choose between purple and pink, so he given me both colours 🥹. He is a guy with few words, however I’m so touched that he actually aware of the small little things after I mentioned. For eg. the heat of hair dryer was abit high which I didn’t mentioned while he was blow drying my hair. I only briefly told him during hair colouring session, he then ensured the heat of hair dryer not too hot & further away from my scalp. He also offered a bowl of snacks after I mentioned I was hungry 🤣 The entire atmosphere in the salon feels good too. No hard selling at all ~

It’s been almost 3 weeks and my curls still look as good as day 1 🥹 I was randomly assigned to Evon and I must say she really knows what she’s doing, not only regarding the perm itself but also the cut, which I feel contributes a lot to how nice the perm will look later on. This is my 5th time getting a perm done and 1st time doing it with Picasso. Previously, after the first wash, the curls never look like how they do right after you leave the salon 😂 this is the first time they still look like what they are supposed to. I was strongly recommended by my daughter to go Picasso hair salon at Bugis for a hairdo. She also goes there for hair coloring. The color stays for very long time and still looks very pretty. So I went and met Nike. Nike is my hair stylist for the day. Nike is very professional and patient. Despite me keep changing my mind on the color for my hair, Nike patiently explained and told me the outcome of each of my choices. I’m very glad with the service rendered by Nike. 👍 I would like to add that the style set up at Picasso hair salon is very different from the hair salon I’ve been. They are very generous, giving a menu with biscuits, titbits and drinks, so that customers will not feel hungry or bored during the few hour of hairdo 👍

I have extremely frizzy hair that no matter how I try, I can never tame it. I tried every treatment at different hair salons who claimed that the smooth texture could last at least a month but it never does. One week is the max. Recently I went to Picasso and tried the Brazilian blowout treatment. It’s been 3 weeks and my hair is as good as the day I did the treatment Thanks to Evon for giving me such a great treatment! Please request for Wenze - he's very meticulous (makes sure that each curl is good) and he works with you so that your hair suits your features and style. He's also very patient in teaching you how to properly dry your hair so that you can maintain your perm longer. It's always a pleasant experience whenever I visit the salon. Convenient location, chill ambiance, and good washroom (with bidet 😉) Couldn't recommend Picasso and Wenze enough!
