I injured/fracture my back/neck when overseas. Dr Loo Wee Lim of Synergy orthopaedic was recommended by my urologist dr. as Dr Loo is specialist in spine. 1st visit at mt alvernia: Me as a pt with mixed feeling after my injury. Knowing after mri scans, got to face the unknown. 1st impression of Dr Loo: Gentle, caring and friendly. Dr ordered mri scans n next review without delay 2nd & 3rd visits at Novena: Dr Loo very detailed and patiently explained to me about my fracture and treatment plan. Glad that at present, no need ops just have to put on a orthosis for 3 mths and monitor. Dr Loo and his team, i would strongly recommend if u need to see a ortho dr. Dr - kind, patience, friendly, humble, good experienced knowledge and his professional judgement, meticulous n perfect attitude to heal a patient towards recovery. My husband and I are very appreciative of Dr Loo Wee Lim's care of my slip disc. We visited Dr Loo on 11 November for my back pain that has been worsening since I gave birth 3 months ago. He was compassionate understanding, and attended swiftly to the problem. We managed to get an MRI appt on the same day and had a dissectomy surgery planned within the month as well. I was thankful that Dr loo explained in a concise and detailed manner the reasons for my current pain and possible treatment options. Dr loo was also patient and willing to explain multiple times to allay our anxiety. We never felt pressured into getting a surgery done, though we ultimately decided to do so. I had a dissectomy done on 24 November at Mt Elizabeth hospital. Dr loo frequently checked in on me post surgery and was always a whatsapp message away. My pain threshold is quite low, and he was able to adjust my analgesics such that I was able to walk the day after surgery. I am currently a week post surgery, and my wound is healing well. There were many concerns I had initially with going for a private medical consult due to common fears about it being a "money" business. But the kindness and genuine concern that Dr loo showed not just for me as a patient, but my baby and caregiving as a new mother is something I am very grateful for. Will definitely recommend Dr loo for anybody with problems with their spine!
