Dr Tan is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, taking the time to explain everything clearly and address all my concerns. I had surgery with Dr. Tan to remove a tumor that was located in a surgically challenging area to access. When we first met, he wrote down his detailed game plan for his surgical approach. Dr Tan and team (Evangeline and Doris) are amazing. After a cancerous growth was found in the stomach, my mum was referred to Dr Tan for surgical plans. From the beginning, Dr Tan gave us a detailed explanation of the findings and the plans during and post-surgery. • Dr. Tan Chun Hai is an amazing surgeon, to say the least. I felt well informed about everything from start to finish. He explains all aspects in detail of the Gastric Bypass Surgery and what to expect. The SurgiCare Team and Associates, including Staff, Nurses, Dietitian, Specialist were all wonderful. I was referred to Dr Tan’s clinic for a hiatal hernia repair and Nissen fundoplication. Dr Tan explained the condition and procedure clearly, as well as explained the rationale behind the operation. THE BEST DOCTOR EVER!! I have been seeing Dr Tan since 2019 and I have nvr regretted. He ensures his patients are very safe and comfortable at all times. Recently I had severe pain due to gallstones and I gave him just one call. He is personable, great listener, and empathetic to my concerns. He then immediately sent the medications to my house until the next appt date. He did not simply brush me off saying to go to A&E and he will attend to me during his appt time unlike other doctors(I had a bad experience in ktph before I see Dr Tan in Gleneagles). Once I see Dr Tan in his clinic, he immediately did all the necessary scan and procedure and did my operation. His nurses were extremely helpful too. A lot of doctors don’t realize how important it is to treat a patient who is in extreme pain. The first point of contact is crucial! But here in Surgicare Bariatric, you don’t have to worry about it. I met Dr Tan Chun Hai in June this year as there was a lump behind my neck on the back of my head that has swelled. It started a few years ago as a pimple. Dr Tan explained to me it was a sebaceous cyst, the ways to recover after the surgery and his recommendation as well. I had a surgery for Excision and debridgement of a Subcutaneous cyst which was quite big by normal standards in early Oct 21. The Surgery was done by Dr. Tan Chun Hai. I saw him in his clinic when my cyst had possibly infected and was in pain. He immediately arranged for a surgery the same day which was amazing, especially during the Covid peak period when hospitals resources were in peak demand. The surgery went very well and now curing. Mine was a open would so has to dressed up every day. The visit to his clinic was easy and very informative. I am a 63-year-old male surnamed Huang. On the evening of January 31st, around 11 PM, I experienced severe chest pain and was immediately admitted to Gleneagles Hospital (Singapore) for observation. The next morning around 8 AM, I underwent an MRI. The results showed that my bile duct was blocked again, and there were stones in my gallbladder (along with a subcutaneous abscess on the right side of my abdomen near my navel). After discussing with two doctors, Dr. Roland Chong first performed a procedure to clear my bile duct, and then Dr. Tan Chun Hai performed surgery to remove the gallbladder containing the stones. On the morning of February 2nd, around 8 AM, after Dr. Chong successfully cleared the cystic duct, I rested for several hours. Around 4 PM, Dr. Tan used the 3-point-keyhole method to remove my entire gallbladder, which contained several small stones and a large stone measuring 4.5 cm. According to Dr. Tan, the largest gallstone he has ever removed from a patient was 7 cm! (This was for a large Westerner). Dr. Tan also removed the subcutaneous abscess. The surgery went smoothly. The doctors performed two surgeries in one day, ensuring the condition was suitable. I returned to my hospital bed around 7 PM. On February 3rd, I stayed in the hospital to rest. My chest and abdomen only had four keyholes and a 3cm surgical incision covered with gauze. I didn't feel pain while lying down, only a slight pain when I tried to sit up. After a day of rest, by the evening of February 3rd, the pain had largely subsided. At 11 AM on February 4th, I was able to complete the discharge procedures and take the subway home. Dr. Tan is a very experienced surgeon. He came to check on me after my MRI and explained my condition, confirming that both surgeries could be completed that evening. His confident tone gave me a lot of confidence. Therefore, I felt very reassured from the moment I entered Gleneagles Hospital. He is a Western medicine doctor but speaks fluent Mandarin, so communication was no problem, and he answered all my questions. Of course, besides the doctors (including the anesthesiologist), the nurses and staff at Gleneagles Hospital were also an outstanding team, ensuring the highest level of medical effectiveness. I give this hospitalization experience a perfect score. Today, February 8th, I had my follow-up appointment. Dr. Tan removed the gauze; the surgical incision had dried up, so I didn't need to put on gauze again, and no further follow-up appointment was necessary. February 8th, 2024, 6:43 PM

Hello. I don’t usually write reviews, but today I am writing one. I will write a review in Korean for Koreans living in Singapore. I had an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time on April 28th. It was my first time having an endoscopy not only in Singapore but also abroad. I was very nervous when I first visited for the consultation, but nurse Doris made me feel very comfortable and took care of everything related to insurance, which I was most worried about. I was so grateful. Dr. Tan was also very kind and explained everything in detail. She explained everything thoroughly for a sufficient amount of time and I was able to complete the upper gastrointestinal endoscopy without any discomfort. The next day after the endoscopy, she kindly called me to check again if there were any uncomfortable areas. The results review was also explained in detail to the point where I had no more questions. I highly recommend this to my colleagues. If there are any Koreans living in Singapore who need to have an endoscopy, I recommend you go here. You won’t regret it. Lastly, I would like to thank Doris and Dr. Tan for their hard work until the end.
