Reviews of Yim Clinic & Surgery
Yim Clinic was established in 1973. Initially it was operating at a small HDB Shop along Henderson Road beside Bukit Merah View Market. Later it was relocated to a larger HDB Shopping Complex at Block 11A, Boon Tiong Road #02-03, Singapore 161011. All along, myself and all my family members including my grandmother and grandfather trusted Dr. Andrew Yim and Dr. Gregory Yim to be our reliable and excellent family doctors. So far, they had never let us down whenever we visited them over any sickness issues. To some Seniors who often faced hearing difficulties, it was normally due to thick layer of wax and dirt accumulated inside the ears. No hearing aid required, Yim Clinic will probably be able to solve your problems. This was my recent problem solved by Yim Clinic. Now I am extremely clear in my hearing. Thank you Dr. Andrew Yim for your great job.
Was told that the clinic closes at 1pm Saturday. Rushed down and reached clinic at 12.45pm but was told the clinic is closed for the day in fact their last appointment was 11am! So i asked the clinic then what time does the last appointment end and the clinic people told me , it depends.
If i have been inform before hand that the registration closes at 11am, 2 hour before closing time that will be crystal clear.
The doc gave my son a referral to SGH to see his peeling and cracking feet, called the SGH hotline today with the referral letter and was informed that there is another number to call for GP referral.
Ok, call the SGH GP referral line next and was told that SGH only sees patients that are 16 years and above....
Called Yim's clinic next and was told to call either NUH or KKH. Am smarter now, I asked for the numbers to call and was informed by clinic to google cos very busy now.
Got a return call at 2pm with an appt booked with KKH for today. Despite all the above, happy to know the clinic made an effort.
My mum self test ART positive and on Sundays not many clinics are open. In the morning, we went to one clinic and was turned away because it wasn't a phpc clinic (it wasn't mentioned doctor visits had to be phpc one on website. Covid.sg I think?)
The clinic recommended another clinic which they said is open. We went but it was closed. I went to ask the other clinic at tiong bahru MRT but was turned down as they claimed they do not take art or PCR test for 80yo and below (anyway it was a less than 2star rating so I didn't argue)
Went home to find phpc clinics. Decided to call after the trouble. Mum can't walk for too long. Most didn't pick up except for yim. Greatly appreciate the Chinese reception lady who adviced me and also the room 1 doctor who is patient about addressing any doubts about the covid protocols
Very disappointed with Dr Roger. He appeared to not have recognised chicken pox easily and certainly struggled with understanding the difference between contegious and non contegious spots. He said because spots are slightly red they are contegious. While definition of contageous at this stage of the deasease is the presence of blisters. Without paperwork he said he could not. He seems to be the only incompetent doctor in my opinion. He did not look at my sons spots, or asked to lift his top to make a proper assessment! Unlike the other doctor who checked every single spot to make sure there are no blisters!!! I had a lot more positive experience with the owner of the practice and his son. Hence I keep going back. They are a lot more knowledgeable.
I have seen Dr Greg Yim for as long as 35 years and he is the best doctor I have ever met. I have very bed ezcema since young and he treated my case for as long as 35 years. He is a very upright doctor whom do not anyhow give Mc if ppl comment about Mc then you shouldn't be visiting him. When he Said you do not need one means his meds are really strong and you will get recovered. I strongly believe in him and the rest of the doctors in Yim clinic I have recommended so many people to visit him. He's a very direct spoken doc but he meant all well... Those who gave 1 star or commend badly you guys don't deserve to be treated by him. All the elderly willingly to queue to see him and why are those people making so much noise worst than an elderly cannot wait please go private hospital. Thank you to Yim doctors and nurses 🙏🙏
