Reviews of ibis budget Singapore Selegie
I stayed at level 7, facing the road. No sound issues from road traffic. Sometimes noise from the adjacent room, but muffled. The corridor walkway is also sound muted. A lot of effort has been put into sound management. The room was a bit small but maybe typical of Sgp. Bedding and toilet is ok. Above average but not wow. To return, yes I will consider
Budget you seek budget you get. Although the hotel is termed budget, cleanliness wise this is top notch. Yes the rooms are cramped and bathrooms are small, you can still get by. Comfortable for 1 person with minimum luggage. A bit uncomfortable for 2 with less luggage and almost impossible to walk around with heavy luggage. Do plan your trip accordingly. Their hotel name literally has the word “budget”, so don’t expect 5 star services. Plus this is Singapore, space is premium. Not just this hotel, many hotels are like this in the surrounding region. I would recommend to book earlier if you’re coming here as almost always the prices are so high when you book them at the last moment.
Stayed 4days. value for money. room was clean. small enough for a couple, got room with window. reception staff was friendly. Allowed for early check in. walkable distance from little india MRT and rocher MRT
On a positive note, this hotel is located on Selegie road which isn't very far from the city's major attractions. You can take a bus a short distance to get to Marina Bay and the Singapore Flyer or Merlion Park. You can walk to the Rochor metro station and take the metro rail just about anywhere - specifically the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Casino or the Tree exhibit. When you are done touring, you can ride the bus right back to this hotel and it drops you off directly in front of the hotel. That definitely gets an A for location.
There are also malls nearby. Singapura Plaza is a 1KM walk and has virtually everything including a movie theater and a bunch of American food chains: Subway, Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. There's a food court a block away and another even closer. Plenty of soup, food bowls and Asian food options.
The temperature here is between 80°F and 90 °F easily hovering around 85°F for most of the day. It's quite hot and I found myself sweating bullets most of the time. On the 10th floor is a pool which became my respite. Crystal clear water with no chlorine smell. Perfect for beating the heat.
Unfortunately, in Singapore, most of these small hotels priced reasonably don't offer very much in terms of room space.
The single-bed room itself was a bit small. I took a look into the double bed rooms and the single bed rooms and the walkable floor space as well as the luggage space wasn't much better. The lack of a window on many of the rooms makes it feel even smaller. More like a cell than a hotel room. Without your own clock or alarm, good luck telling the time of day naturally. The only clue I had as to the time of day without glancing at my tech was listening to all the people suddenly start moving about. The wall's noise isolation isn't that great either. You can hear entire conversations - especially when they're children. I didn't hear any "boots getting knocked" however.
The rooms do have multiple outlets to plug in your devices, but you'll probably want to have a surge protector with its own outlets and usb ports.
The thing that really annoyed me was a lack of a mini fridge. It is absolutely important for hotels to have a mini fridge. Not just for being able to store food or drink temporarily but for those of us who carry medication that needs to be refrigerated. My friend stayed in The Great Madras and despite having a similar sized room, they gave her room a 0.3 cubic inch mini fridge capable of cooling at least a few cans of soda. a 1.7 cubic inch fridge could have made this room better.
There are no closets. You'll need to hang everything on the wall hangers themselves, but there is no airflow between them so drying can take a while. .
There is no laundry service on premises. You can either walk to one of the nearby laundromats and end up waiting to use the machines behind several other people - for high prices- or you can opt for laundry service off premises which is even more expensive. I gave up when I realized the laundromats didn't accept applepay or credit card.
This is a decent value for a short stay provided you only return here to sleep.
Wonderful hospitality... We felt really happy and special thanks to Michael ,
Jian and Rozi for helping us during our stay
Good clean r, very small in size. Especially if you are from north America
Small room but clean and tidy room with bathroom.Near little india and ronchor station. You can leave you luggage while waiting for check in.They have toiletries, free coffee and/or tea, has dryer, kettle and iron. And with rooftop pool.Would recommend this place who’s looking for budget hotel in SG.
Good service, affordable price, strategies area for us to explore lots of nearby places
Well well well,

Dont expect a lot according to the price considered a very affordable accommodation.

For a budget hotel and the price it was much better than expected. Front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very inexpensive and much better than expected. The room was small as expected but clean. Value for money was very good. If your budget is limited this place should definitely be considered.
-Poor Wifi-No Toiletries. Have to prepare your own, but they provide towel, and toothbrush.-We booked families room for 3 person in one room, end up we get separate room and not informed us earlier so that we can book another room.
Staff are friendly and helpful 👍
Quite close to the MRT station, like 5 mins walk.
There is a 7elevn downstir👍
My room has a weird machanic noise all the time, there is no way to turn it off. If you want to stay up all night, this may be a good option. 👍
The curtain is not thick enough to block the morning light, good for morning bird.
Room is small. If you have a big suitcase, you won't be able to open it completely. But it is great in a sense that you won't be spending a lot of time to look for stuff since the space is limited. 😉
No complimentary bottled water, save plastics, save the environment.
The bed is a bit hard, suitable for elderly people.
we like the closet with the shower, towel and bed are clean...amanties are so completewalkin distance to sim lim square and met station
NEXT TIME DON'T PUT REGULAR GUEST ON THE SAME FLOOR WITH A GROUP OF ELEMENTRT SCHOOL. ||THEY KNOCKING MY DOOR AT 4:30AM AND CALL MY ROOM!!||THEY SCREAMING AT THE HALL WAY, TRY TO CALL RECEPTION TWICE. THEY RESPON BUT THE KIDS DOING THE SAME THINK.||ROOM NOT SOUND PROF
A budget option that provides simple, budget facilities. I wouldn't stay here for longer than 1-2 nights if it were possible. The windowless rooms are rather dismal and match the equally tight and dim corridors. I do appreciate the tea making facilities. Front desk staff are also generally nice, I am sure that they too are trying to make the best of whatever is at their disposal at this budget hotel. The 24h attached restaurant (Titter Tatter) is a nice plus. Pool isn't inviting.
Many others hotels are around that area too, and not to worry that you will have empty stomach as there is many restaurants/cafes/bars around that area that open till late night. Room is pretty small and not very spacious.
Decent hotel compared to most. Good price for the location. Easy access to food courts, MRT stops and buses to basically anywhere. Service is fairly good. Cleanliness is ok but I did notice they sometimes reused the same sheets or duvet covers and just made the bed. They would often forget to refresh some items. Also they turn the room up at 4pm which is rather late and inconvenient. Perhaps it's just a different culture here.
Sooooo small rooms.
Near MRT little India
Can hear sound from outside rooms and next room and needs to remind the India people next room to lower their voice twice. No recommend for light sleeper.
Staffs are very friendly and helpful. What I didn't like but seem to be normal in Singapore, the size of the rooms are extremely small. I also didn't appreciate some staff at the corridor around 3-4am talking loud. Despite we open the door and raised the issue with them, they carried on talking. Rest was ok.
The hotel is very clean … nice employee and next to 711 so make it u so easy to find food and snack If u like to travel by bus There’s a halte bus just in front of the hotel …
Too small room...and very basic facilities....Hank clothes place very limited,no safety box, even mineral water no supply...too simple....and can heard sound next door....😅
A relatively chill location and is a 2min walk away from little india mrt. Staff at this location is helpful and understanding. Manage to check in early for 2 rooms and no problems faced. Clean room with adequate utilities. 7-11 Located right beside the hotel so you can grab food at night if you are hungry.
One of the best location, close to plaza singapura, chjimes and orchard. Also, late night supper areas. However, price is as per paid - means tiny spaces, no fridge, and hollow walls. Basic, no frills living if you are more on the traveling and less on the experience of living spaces.
The hotel was clean and provided a very satisfying stay. I would definitely stay there again with my trip if the opportunity arises.
Small, conpact, clean rooms. Roof pool big plus. Good location. Great for young travellers who want to spend their time exploring the city and just have a good night sleep at the hotel.
The Crew is very friendly, rooms are small but ok and there is all you need. Breakfast is good and it's a nice restaurant.
Rooms were neat and staffs were courteous only issue is size of the rooms are too tiny.
Small room a little bit, room clean, nice staff, front desk 24hr, free luggages deposit, staff will call before check-out time. Near 7-11, bus stop and thai restaurant. Far from subway a little bit.
Had lunch at Chilli & Gobek which serves Indonesia cuisines (penyet). Main course is price around $9 and includes free flow of fruits and drinks. Pretty value for money and food is nice. Good service. Location is good.
Very professional and friendly reception breakfast testy and healthy
Very well located, few minutes walk from Little India station, nice staff, modern and clean rooms. Swimming pool on the roof top. Fair price.
The room is small but location is excellent. Right in front of the hotel there is a bus stop.
Very Good LocationReception Staff Also very GoodBut Room is little small Breakfast is GoodAll over my Experience is Very Good
Nicely done hotel except room is very small, limited walking space not suitable for older people
Overall, it’s a comfortable hotel stay. However, the hotel can improve by having more amenities.
Nice place, small but clean room, friendly staff , the best thing is it's in a convenient place just a few mins to MRT and food places.
Good Location next to little india. Room were very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good for someone who finds cheap and good hotel. Near MRT and many restaurants around there.
The smallest hotel room ever! Ideal for budget/single travellers who do not intend to stay in their rooms.
Clean place. Good service. Near 7/11 and Indian stores
It was my first stay at Ibis Selegie and it was wonderful
