Reviews of Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore
Hotel staff serve us cold sparking water with cold towel while queuing for check in on a hot afternoon. The hotel room is spacious with nice sea view 👍.My family enjoy the stay and international buffet.
The hotel decorate the room and provided a slice of cake. I have a wonderful Birthday staycation. Thank you!
We booked 2 nights here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The hotel was really thoughtful and detailed and gave us a room with a wonderful view and decorated it. Our daughter was elated. They even gave us a slice of chocolate cake for celebration.
The pool was great for kids and adults. It’s a family friendly hotel.
Though the hotel was dated, it was kept very clean and nothing broke down. The room was spacious and comfortable. Extremely large bed.
Check in could be cut short if guests could do it online to save time. But the waiting time is compensated with distraction for kids and adults with mascot , ice cream welcome drinks and cold towel.
Dinner buffet was not as good as I remembered. Lobster was dried out a little. Seafood selection was mediocre. Other than that the other Asian selections were great. Breakfast hall was constantly with flies and mynahs visited. We saw many guests were busy swatting away flies like us.
Overall we had a wonderful experience and would come back again.
Absolutely gorgeous stay for my family and I. My partner surprised me with a proposal and my children had a new found love for resort style holidaying. Everyone was full of love and fun. Kids club was a big hit and the pool was fun.
Thank you for making our son feel so special on his birthday! The staff is just amazing! The kids play area, to the pool , the food! Everything was just perfect! Special shoutout to the play area staff and Rebecca! Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday!
Excellent stay. Kids and family friendly. The breakfast was with extensive selection and of good quality. We love the rooms facing the hill foliage where a couple of rare critically endangered hornbills perched and chilled out at the balcony for a good 25 minutes. It’s a rare moment and would have been a dream come true for birders for such close encounters. The cabanas at the resort pool is cool, giving a sheltered respite from the heat. Lots of games and activities for the young ones. All in all we enjoyed our two nights stay thoroughly. Will recommend anyone to come here instead of traveling out to a resort in a neighbouring country to save the hassle for a short staycation.
I think this hotel was so pleasant. Rooms were so sanitary and quiet here. Luckily, you can see monkeys climbing around in the balcony. Besides the rooms, facilities here were also great. There’s a pool which divides into two areas: one for adults and one for children.everyone can enjoy the trip here.
There is also a shuttle bus station and cable car station around. That is so convenient
A Memorable Staycation Every Year!
My family and I have been staying at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa for the past three years, and it never disappoints. The service is consistently top-notch, making each stay a wonderful experience. This year, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the Sentosa Suite, and it truly made our stay unforgettable! The suite was spacious, beautifully appointed, and had breathtaking views that left my family thrilled.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, ensuring that every detail of our stay was perfect. Whether it’s the luxurious room, the delicious dining options, or the serene beachfront, Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa continues to exceed our expectations. Kudos to Kathleen, Jessie, Nixie and Siti.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly resort with impeccable service, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to return next year!
Dine on 3 (especially Kumar) was extremely helpful to our special requests in celebrating my birthday there for 2 nights with my friends (on Nov 10) and family (on Nov 11).
The Room Service setup went beyond our expectations when they decorated our room for my birthday.
Thank you so much Shangri-La Rasa team for an amazing treat!!! Reason why we always come back because of your great staff, amazing facilities and beach access! Keep it up, Team Rasa!!! 💕
Beautiful resort on the beautiful Sentosa island. Check in late as our flight got in late, check in staff did not interact with us which is quite a horrible first impression of the hotel. Services the hotel provides and details about the hotel are very minimal at the check in which is horrible. The hotel has an excellent architecture design which is truly beautiful. Breakfast at the resort is one of the best breakfast services with staff going out of the way to create an amazing stay at Shangri-La. Dine on 3 was incredible in particular Linh service is totally a 5 start it self. Pool staff are horrible lifeguards are very grumpy and make the pool horrible which should not be closing in the middle of the day. Definitely restaurant service is amazing.
An amazing experience staying here.
From friendly staff, to fantastic experience throughout the resort
The location is amazing with complimentary bike hire, shuttle bus runs of the island, and attractions all within the sentosa island itself
Very clean, very enjoyable and an overall fantastic time spent - whether a family, a couple, or solo travelling, it was very much worth the time and investment staying at this fantastic hotel/resort
Very generous hotel that strive to make the customers to have great memories and experience!
From the lobby giving free quality Nespresso, having a great lounge waiting area, free sea sports activities, immediate surprise birthday decorations when noticing my daughter birthday is approaching upon check in without me mentioning, and complimentary bus services to Kidzania and Vivo. Finally , the immediate whatsapp chat response from customer services, Shangri-la Sentosa truly having a great team running the hotel here.
Thank you for being so generous and pampering your customers!
Not acceptable room 819 the safe lock is not working the say err actually room 821 is working nice service also gives us the meal which is what I said in the in-room dining the location located in Sentosa also free breakfast what's a nice resort nice resort in Sentosa we booked one room which is a king bed room 821 got 2 single beds the toilet is romantic our rooms is connected the toilet is romantic also got nice walkability
I’m currently staying at the Hotel it has been a bit of a disappointment, definitely not a five star experience. The breakfast is a nightmare; we have to wait in a ridiculously long line, herded like cattle just to get a seat. It feels like they can’t service the number of people in the hotel.
To make matters worse, the bed linen in our room is damp, even the kids complained about the sticky uncomfortable sheets. The whole hotel needs updating it feels very run down. It might have been a five star once but not anymore!
Always enjoy our staycation here. Was warmly welcome by the valet when the moment you alighted at the main lobby area. When we leave, Zasim(valet with an explorer uniform :)) and the rest was very friendly and helpful. 👍
Loving the short trip with family at Rasa Shangri-La! The wide range of recreational activities were fun and kept us engaged and occupied the whole day! We spent our 3days mostly at the hotel and didnt bother to explore further in Sentosa!
A very average expierience esspecially for a Shangri La Hotel. From trying to arranging transport to the dirty outside area and well below average breakfast. The hotel staff definitely didn't have a “can do” attitude.
The hotel was a bit far from the Sentosa Express, but the hotel provides a coach to VivoCity. The view was wonderful! The swimming pool was fun, there were water slides and aqua balls to play. There was also two table-tennis tables with table-tennis and rackets provided. There was snooker to play too!
Fantastic resort with a beautiful seafood and meat buffet. We had a little muck up with our room and Johnathan not only sorted it out but went over and above with what we expected. He is a real asset to this resort
We've just had the best holiday at Shangri La Sentosa. So very relaxing, with everything you want at your fingertips.
We could be as active or rested as we wanted. All the staff were so incredibly helpful and happy natured. It was close enough to Singapore City to go adventuring with all forms of transport easily accessible. Will definatly recommend this holiday to all.
Thankyou so much.
We had an amazing stay in Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa. Perfect location in Sentosa island. Service and Staff is super amazing as well. SAKUN from the restaurant team always been helpful and approachable. She made sure to full-fill all our requests in breakfast and dinner. HAZIQ from the reception and booking team also helped organising birthday surprise on very short notice. Thanks you for making the day special and help us extending our stay smoothly. VICTORIA from the restaurant team helped us becoming member of the Shangri-La club and explained in all detail about the system. Even after finishing her shift, she stayed back and made sure our process get completed successfully. Executive chef PRADEEP KUMAR has been very kind and approachable all the time. He always approached us time to time and made sure our needs are fulfilled. Thank you again for doing it. Thank to the whole
Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa team, we will defiantly visit again.
Breezy and tropical location on the beachfront.
Food comes in generous portions and is very tasty.
Kid-friendly pools with slides and activities, as well as a kids club and outdoor playground nearby.
Hotel was very busy during school holidays
One of the best resort experiences I've had traveling. Amazing 8day stay!
Staff are super friendly and helpful, location is absolutely amazing. Great for families!
And the facilities are exactly what you need to accommodate a short or long stay.
Highly recommend.
Booked a 2 night staycation for my child's birthday. We checked in about 3-3.30pm that day and the room was not ready in time. The staff were apologetic and we were provided with welcome drinks at the restaurant. The keys were delivered to us before the drinks arrived. Room was decorated with balloons and both my kids received a Toots soft toy (although only 1 birthday). A slice of cake was also in the fridge for us to enjoy. Service staff was friendly and accommodating. Although the hotel is quite old, the rooms look like they have been refurbished (USB charging, Chromecast). Mostly dined in the hotel restaurants for the few meals (breakfast was included in booking). Trapizza was alright, although a bit difficult to locate initially. Facilities such as kids club, table tennis tables, pool table was available though we did not try any of these. The pool was also fun quite large for kids. Overall, a kid/family friendly hotel in Sentosa and suitable for a getaway. Location might be a bit of a downside since it is not easy to "get out" for moden conveniences but if you really want to spend time away from the city, it works great for the family. Overall,
Nice hotel with a lot activities for the kid. Got free room upgrade and small cake for birthday celebration. Good location with private beach and nice pool, buffet breakfast with a lot varieties. The only improvement suggestion is to have a coffee machine inside the room.
We had the most wonderful stay at the Shangri-la Sentosa to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. From check-in to check-out, the team have been wonderful. There are so many activities and facilities to enjoy, I can see why guests chose this resort for their staycation. A special thanks to Roy and the Fun team for creating such great activities for the kids to enjoy! As well as Sang, Rebecca and Steven for their attentive and thoughtful service. We have made such great memories and look forward to returning!
2nd time we stayed. Great location for activities for the teenagers. UNIVERSAL studios, water parks, zip wires.
Second time staying at this hotel because the pool is great for families with children. Poolside fun activities are held to engage children besides an indoor play area for younger kids. Service was excellent with quick check in and check out. Request to change twin bed to king bed was made upon check in and frontline staff was happy to accede to request.A bottle of red wine was sent to room upon knowing that my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Fantastic place to stay , great view of the sea, lots of activities to engage in, good food and very courteous staff
Built and opened 30+ years ago
Paint peeling in corridors
Mould on grout in bathrooms
Place needs new carpet / flooring and a paint job
Heck place needs anentire refit
Pool area great for kids, food by the pool was average at best.
For what they charge, we had far nicer and newer for 50% less at Marina Bay and Orchard.
Definitely NOT a 5 star hotel. 3.5 star at best.
My kids love the hotel. Everything is done right for families with children to enjoy. Food at silver shell and in room dining was fantastic. It was one of the best hotel staycation we have done so far! Will definitely go back again!
The staff service is great! My kid fell down from the chair and the staff came over to check on him. We also took quite some towels at the pool but they kind and just reminded us to return it to the towel bin when done. The pool water is heated and the slides were amazing for the kids! They kids loved it!
There is complimentary shuttle bus from Vivo city to Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa!
Stayed a night at the Panoramic Sea View Room in early May.
The room was very well-kept; the furniture and fixtures were great, except for a non-functional bedside night light, which was of no concern. The balcony had no lighting of its own, but the flat ceiling reflected enough light from the lights at the ground floor (swimming pool area) that gave enough illumination to not send a straw up your nose. The balcony had wooden sliding inner doors that, when closed fully and with all lights switched off, allow the room to plunge into a complete darkness that only some can enjoy sleeping in.
The standing shower was a tad cramped and the glass door allows the water to leak outside if the showerhead is aimed at the door inevitably, but it works just fine for our Asian figures. There's also a comfortable bath tub that's great for soaking in and can help relieve the strain on your legs from walking all the way to this hotel if you made a subjectively poor decision to not take their free shuttle bus from VivoCity.
The bed was a little high for me, but it was a nice king-sized bed with a firm mattress. Additional pillows of various properties can be requested as part of Shangri-La's top notch room service to suit various needs, such as a foam pillow for side-sleepers. Their lavender pillow was good as a bolster too—just make sure you stuff the lavender sachets hidden at the sides of the pillow towards your nose to make use of the lavender properties.
The pool was clean and very well-maintained, and I didn't get the usual irritation I would usually get from swimming at public pools. Still, please don't drink from or relieve yourself in the pools. Keep it clean for yourself and everyone.
Did I mention their breakfast spread at Silver Shell Cafe? No? Just go and eat. Words are wasted on this part and do no justice to their wonderful spread of options available from 6.30am in the morning.
Thank you for hosting us!
Namaste 🙏🏻
It was a wowwwwww! Experience staff too good service too good !location was good shuttle service were available by hotel !Indian food was there loved it !best for Indians !Grab car took just 10 mins drive to universal studios (10$) feasible !aquarium ,universal ,cove water park all one place !beautiful hotel
The hotel is beautiful 🤩 perfect for families with children. The beach is accessible. The rooms were cosy. Breakfast spread was good. It was tasty too. The view from the room was wow 😍
I felt a little disconnected with the staff when it came to giving milk for my baby. Also they should have seperate counters for check-ins and check outs to avoid delays.
I loved the place. Must try!
This is our second time to stay at Rasa Shangri- La Sentosa. I highly recommend this hotel to family travellers. There are plenty of facilities for both adults and kids. The hotel is full of CNY festive a**osphere during CNY period. We enjoyed it very much.
Located at the man-made beach, counting town, if you want to relax. We will come home and this hotel, extremely child friendly, however, there was a separate area for adults to swim. There were bad reviews about queues at breakfast. We didn’t encounter this. We had breakfast in the adults only area first, which was satisfactory, but the main buffet area had choice.
Room cleanliness was not what I expected from a 5-star hotel. Customer recovery was prompt.
My children’s favourite staycation location! Kids run wild here with easy access to kids pool with slides, kids’ club, water activities and Nestopia! My two young ones also simply love taking the cable car on holiday!
Rooms are dated compared to latest hotels but spacious (children simply don’t care and are happy to near all the fun above). Staff are all working hard to please and a special shout out to all reception staff, kids’ club staff and beach bar staff which make the staycations always so special for the kids!
Superb family hotel.
Stayed two nights at Shangri-la and thought it's the best family hotel I have ever stayed at. They handed my kids beach toys when we checked in, lovely gesture. The bathroom had a step stool for my toddler. It makes life so much simpler for parents with young kids, wish more hotels did simple things like this. Makes u feel like your kids are welcome. The buffet has a huge kids spread, at their height and with child friendly plates. The activity center for children is the best I've seen in any hotel. My kids didn't want to leave. Superb quality of art and craft material too.
The hotel is lovely, nice pool and slides, easy shuttle to get around the island. All in all, a fantastic choice for a lovely vacation.
The service is top notch .. know that we will be checking out early.. prepare breakfast set for us to eat while on the way to airport
Peak season like CNY could be insane here with tourists. Overall a solid resort with great food and facilities for little kids. My 3-year old hit the water slides for 5 hours a day. He couldn’t get enough of it. The Indian options at the buffet were delicious. The queues for breakfast and check-in were long only cos it was CNY but otherwise we had a wonderful stay. Believe this is also the only resort with beachfront, unfortunately we didn’t have time check it out. Maybe next time!
Very well run and managed. Staff are friendly, courteous, approachable and helpful. Room is serviced daily and cleaned. Close to Universal studio and Vivo city with shuttle service to hotel. Overall a positive experience and we did enjoy our stay. Thank you
Came back to this hotel for our 10th year wedding anniversary, this time with 2 kids in tow. Service was excellent as usual despite being fully booked up. Even got a small cake for our anniversary from the friendly staff. Kids had a wonderful time indoors n outdoors, with things to do even on rainy days. Breakfast was a luxury. Location was excellent, just by the beautiful beach n cable car station. Would love to come back here for our next anniversary!
Love the hotel and facilities! Kids enjoy the swimming pools, although it would be better if they were younger amd not over 1.5m tall as they missed out on 2 slides. Down by the beach, there were sandbags to relax on, playground, and games like ping pong, badminton.Indoor playground looks great and they was art painting on figurines available. Buffet breakfast was fabulous but be sure to be there by 8.30am or risk the long queues. We saw the entire peacock family of 5 and the peacock even displayed his tail majestically! My son had a delicious piece of cake for his birthday and 3 of us shared it. There were balloons as decorations too! Overall, a very enjoyable stay!!!
The pool and beach are amazing with facilities for both adults and children. I found the room to be particularly small considering we had booked a room for 3 people and an extra bed needed to be brought into the room and placed by the balcony doors meaning all three beds were side by side. There was an impressive choice at breakfast and the quality was great although l thought the supplement of £30 for our third person was a little steep. Speaking of cost we did not spend any time eating or drinking at the hotel after ordering a beer on the beach which cost £13 per pint and decided it would be cheaper to venture into China Town. The location is great if you dont want to be near the city and is also very convenient for the cable car which takes you to the shopping mall and also the very fun skyline and luge. Lastly for a hotel that is advertised as luxurious I did not find the staff to be particularly attentive and one evening it took about 20 minutes of waiting to even ask the concierge to order us a taxi.
Resort it self is really nice and kids friendly. Staff are welcoming and will help with anything you ask them. Has amazing views and swimming area, restaurants are good and food is great as have a wide selections on buffet. Only down side to this place is the outdated rooms. Don't get me wrong they are clean and bed is very comfortable to sleep on however old showers outdated room decor and TV screens from the early 2000s not smart. Shame really as the place could do with a upgrade.
Great location and family resort with spacious rooms for families. We were able to book an extended room with balcony and hot tub. Clean and great staff with plenty of amenities around.
While Shangri-La Rasa @ Sentosa is a bit dated, we thought it’s clean, functional and most importantly, kids friendly. Don’t expect a modern, fancy, high-tech hotel to begin with. Service can really vary from one staff member to another. My daughter and I each had a small cup of ice cream from Dine on 3 and so that was a nice touch. Love the mini waterpark with lifeguard on duty as well as the big pools (adult and child). Location is a little off but again it’s Sentosa island. Overall a 4 upon 5 - worth staying if you’re traveling with your family.
On reviewing our invoice after our stay we seemed to have been charged notably more than advised in our confirmation booking. I emailed them to check, but have received no response despite numerous follow ups. Great service at the hotel. But very poor afterwards. Eventually though we were notified that we were overcharged and provided a refund of just over $600.
I'm a person with disabilities and i let them know about it prior to our check in and they accommodated us really well. Actually, even before checking in, they already sent me an email letting me know that my requests are going to be accommodated. The room was very very clean and we had enough amenities for our entire family of 2 adults and 2 small children. The sofa bed is quite big so we all fit comfortably in the room. We had the Tropical family getaway promo and the food in the picnic basket are delicious! Our kids also enjoyed the free floaty and the sand toys. The roaming peacocks, peahens and monitor lizards added to the adventure. The surroundings were very clean, the staff were nice and accommodating. Our kids just wanted to stay with us so didn't bother to register to the Toots Club but the hotel let me know that they will accommodate all 3 children even if the package only included 2. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. It was just a one night stay but we had a really great time. Thanks to all the staff! The people are this hotel's greatest asset.
Great stay from start to finish. Breakfast is very delicious. Great and kid-friendly pools. For sure will come back again here someday 😍😍😍
Beautiful resort, the perfect place for families with young kids like us. Gorgeous facilities and a fantastic kids club where my toddler (2 years old) spent lots of time playing in the safe, padded play centre. He also loved the splash zone outside. There’s also free beach activities for you to enjoy, I loved the kayaking. Buffet breakfast was fabulous, lots of different options and cuisines and lots of yummy fresh juices. I was even pleased to see a Baby Zone fridge with purée containers that my 6 month old enjoyed. An excellent Nespresso machine for the coffee lovers and a Fun Team waiting outside the breakfast area every morning to make balloon animals for our son.
The resort has a free shuttle bus that departs several times of the day to Vivo City, a shopping centre with lots of yummy food options and excellent shopping as well (Zara, Sephora, Nike, Adidas, Crocs to name a few).
Our room was spacious and clean, although the beds weren’t as comfortable as we would’ve liked. Free access to a laundry room on our level (a washing machine + a dryer in one that’s already filled with detergent so you don’t need to spend anything extra to clean your clothes) and an ice machine was especially pleasing for us. Overall we had a great experience, as good as you can have with a toddler and an infant… 🤭
Unfortunately the check-in process continues to take an extremely long time despite a short queue and this time some worker decided to let her family/friends skip the queue! Ridiculous
Fantastic place for kids. The swimming pool, slides and pool activities are quite good. Lots of outdoor activities such as badminton, table tennis available. We didn't try the kids club. Location is good but the beach view is full of ships and you can barely see beyond them. We got the Terrace Pool view room and it was quite big, easily fit 1 King bed and queen size sofa bed. The balcony was huge.
Room service is good but could have more non-beef/seafood options. Probably include Thai. Otherwise the service is great. Breakfast spread is big and has everything from Asian to western.
Shoutout to Adam from Concierge who helped fix my child's toy.
WOW, oh really WOW. What a fabulous resort, private beach, fantastic pool with bar side drinks yo your deck chair or lounger. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, the food impressive, the whole hotel staff team couldn't have done more for you. The rooms were modern, so please ignore those sub-standard comments, they clearly don't appreciate things, or they had a 'bad' day and just moaned for the sake of it.
The hotel, grounds, food and rooms were spot on, well worth the money and well worth another visit or two.
Thank you Shangri La Sentosa.
This resort is very good for families and couples to use. The kindness of the staff is basic, and although the facilities are old, they are kept clean.
If you visit on your honeymoon, ask for a cake to celebrate. The cake is very delicious.
The swimming pool has a separate pool for kids, so it is good for children to play, and there is also an adult pool, so it is good to enjoy swimming quietly. And there is a separate beach dedicated to the resort, so it is perfect for enjoying the beach quietly.
Breakfast is prepared from various countries and has a children's section. The food is delicious, too. But be prepared for birds to pick up food if you eat breakfast at an outdoor table.
Overall, the price is expensive, but considering the prices of Singapore and the geographical characteristics of the island, it does not seem to be very expensive.
If you have a long schedule on Sentosa Island, I recommend this resort.
It was a nice place to stay. Few things need to be changed.
1. They charged us for connecting set around 120 SG$ (60 per room).
2. On the very first day of arriving we paid for hill view room, but we got room having balcony just with trees.
3. Also, charging points in our room were not compatible with our US charger. However, in another connecting set or room it was working.
Rest of the things were working fine.
Love the spread of the breakfast buffet. The pools are so fun! Everybody in the hotel are friendly It would be good to provide in-room Nespresso coffee.
The relief manager Steve is a very professional and experienced customer service agent , solved out our laundry case with ease. 6 star customer service. Big shout for Steve! Well done, will back for you again. Ta
Cannot recommend this place enough. Just bear in mind that it is a family resort hence there’s lot of kids. But if you don’t mind that, it’s a GREAT hotel. Staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming.
The hotel buffet was not very delicious but with the while as the menu was EXTENSIVE. This hotel has definitely managed to integrate digital into their service with the online ordering system. By the beach there was drinks and food service. There’s even free use or water activities like kayak. The pool and beach slots are 2 hours so it’s more than plenty of time.
Will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience at the resort. The staff's attentiveness and the facilities ensured all children within our group were able to explore the different daily offerings either poolside, kids club or dining venues.
Whilst travelling we also needed to visit a medical facility and the staff were thoroughly helpful in assisting us despite the difficulty and were very supportive post-visitation.
Would highly recommend visiting the resort with kids. Perfect getaway for everyone else as well.
Amazing staff and experience. Front Desk, Housekeeping and even Life Guards were all friendly. Food choices around were also very enjoyable. However, when I switched off the Air-con and opened the window in the room, the floor's condensation was ridiculous and the entire floor got soaked. I had to take a towel out to dry out the floor, it was very bizarre and i have never experienced anything like this.
But all in all, it was a very enjoyable stay and staycation choice. I would higly recommend it to anyone, and make sure to book all the facilities available, such as the pool and beach, and even beach activities like Kayaking and standing paddle board. Rooms and toilets were also very clean, but the entrance of my room did have a funky smell.
This is a hotel with beautiful scenery and an unforgettable family-friendly trip. It has a romantic night view of the beach and swimming pool, an endless sea view, a dazzling array of buffet breakfast items, and a dedicated kids zone for children. There is even a BB bottle warmer and other equipment. It is friendly. And the friendly service attitude of the staff! What I remember is only the happy moments. The hotel has a free Hotel Shuttle that goes directly to the shopping malls outside the island and a Beach Shuttle Bus that can go up and down from various beach locations to Santosa Express Station for free!
All in all, the money spent is definitely worth it! It is worth mentioning that the sea view room is definitely not to be missed!
As expected, the breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and was delicious.
In particular, at the noodle bar, I was able to choose my favorite noodles and soup, and each item was worth the money, so I was satisfied.
We also had laksa, but the wonton noodles were excellent.
There is also a curry section with other Indian dishes that will fill you up in the morning.
I ate so much that I ended up skipping lunch during my stay.
Because the building is old, the rooms were not five-star, but it was a comfortable stay with good access to the pool.
It's located on the outskirts of Sentosa Island, so if you're not looking for a hotel pool, you might want to choose another hotel. The beach is close, but compared to the beaches of Okinawa and Izu, I didn't feel like going there.
shangri-la sentosa deluxe sea view room
You can get around the island by free shuttle bus. I often used the circular bus "A" Unlike in Japan, there are many buses running even late at night, so it was easy to use. This hotel had universal outlets and USB outlets in multiple rooms, so if you brought a cord, you could easily charge your smartphone. The heated pool was also great for swimming.
There was a corner by the pool where you could borrow bath towels.
You can get around the island using a free shuttle bus. Unlike Japan, the bus was easy to use as there were frequent buses even late at night. This hotel had universal outlets and USB outlets in multiple rooms, making it easy to charge your smartphone if you brought your own cord. I thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the heated pool.
The guest room facilities are of an older generation, but they are clean and comfortable.
The buffet is good if you have children with you.
The pool is not too big and is easy for children to see.
There is also a waterslide. There were many staff members and I felt safe and able to spend time with my family.
However, there are only a limited number of washing machines available, and it becomes a competition for them in the evening when many people leave the pool. I felt that the hotel should increase the number of washing machines and organize them in the laundry room.
I went on my first trip to Singapore with my family in early May and stayed at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Hotel (resort) for 4 days and 3 nights.
It was clean and quiet so you wouldn't think it was an old hotel, and the scenery was very beautiful.
All the staff were very friendly, and especially Lily, who was there on Friday night at the Silver shell restaurant, allowed us to have a memorable dinner. Also, I would like to thank Eunice again at the front desk for kindly helping me check in.
I will never forget my time at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa. It was so good that I would want to go again if I go to Singapore again in the future. 😊
What I love about Shangrila Rasa Sentosa is the wide variety of fun activities for families. My kid especially love the pools, and they’re open until 10pm when weather is much cooler but the water is still warm from the sunny day. Breakfast was alright, some good stuff amongst average spread, queue can get long but it moved fast. Room looks a bit aged but very clean otherwise. They were doing some renovations in the corridor and it smelled like paint due to poor air circulation. The team could’ve opened a window along that corridor to let the smell go away. Private beach was a bit small and dirty looking in the afternoon, morning during high tide was better. Overall a pleasant stay for the family ☺️
