Beautiful clean room and toilet. Friendly and warm staff some are very helpful. My elderly mother is so happy with the hotel environment as it's very peaceful, calming with waterfall and grand setting also the Aircon control is great.

Great stay with family. Hotel is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. We stayed in level 9 and it had a family pantry. It was great to have washers, driers, strollers, bottle warmers, boiling water, bottle cleaning station, high chairs etc. Extremely kid friendly with loads of activities for kids at the kids club. Orchard road shopping and dining precinct is 15mins on foot. ($60 to get to hotel from airport on a maxi taxi. $70 go back to airport in a maxi. They charge 10% for card payments. So, carry cash)

I'm still currently staying here, but had to write a review about my amazing experience so far. I am travelling for work and my first time staying here, though it definitely won't be the last. After 10 hours of travel, I was checking in with Tamir (maybe Tamil? I can't remember unfortunately!) and upon realising 1) I was exhausted and 2) it was my first stay, he offered me a food credit for signing up to the loyalty program and also added breakfast onto my stay, even though it wasn't included in the rate I paid. I honestly forgot there was this level of customer service out there and I will always look to see if there's a Shangri-La hotel when I book work travel. I also experienced the room service and food was incredible, along with the service and presentation. The rooms are luxurious with everything you could need, including universal outlets and plenty of goodies. The health club and fitness rooms were also first rate and not crowded at all. Will definitely be staying again and actually looking forward to heading back after work today!

Beautiful hotel. Family friendly. The pool and splash outdoor playground definitely made our trip with two kids so worth staying at this hotel. This is a great place to stay if you have young children and want to be able to relax at the hotel as Singapore sightseeing is not always easy with young children. Very clean. The breakfast buffet is worth it. The restaurants are a bit overpriced for what you get but that’s all the more reason to venture out to hawker centers for an experience anyway.

I held my wedding banquet on the 2nd of November 2024 and the staff have been wonderful in the execution of my special day. A massive thanks to Chris, Eric & Nick for your kind help and coordination on that day. The stay at Shangri La was also wonderful, with a bottle of wine, chocolates and a special cake that greeted us on our arrival. Overall I would definitely recommend the Shangri La Hotel for any wedding banquet needs!

We stayed in a garden wing deluxe room and the decor is old and outdated. Yhe TV channels are more for local and Chinese guests and not for international guests. No milk supplied for tea in the room fridge if guests need it.

An extremely impressive hotel. We stayed in the Valley Wing with our two young children. The staff were attentive, efficient, fast, and friendly - both exceptionally good at service and also quite approachable and pleasant. They were excellent with our children as well. The breakfast was very good. The salmon in particular was of very high quality, but it was all lovely. Vibrant flavors and quite a spread - though, staying there for five nights, I would have liked variety for the breakfast spread. But everything was excellent. The fruit was fresh and crisp. Afternoon tea was good, and canapés were excellent. I cannot fault the staff for their sophistication, attentiveness, and care. It was exceptional. The variety was there and the quality was high. For drinks, the wines were good and the cocktails were strong and well-made. The lobby of the Valley Wing has lovely high ceiling, immense works of art, and orchids everywhere. Our room. Lovely. We had a suite. My wife and I had a very nice room, and my daughter had beds in the living area. There was plenty of space, and the furniture was heavy, sturdy, resplendent, stately. The carpets were in poor condition, but this was the only poor aspect. The location, for us, was a touch out of the way. We knew this when we booked, and were fine with it, but during the week itself it would have been nicer to be closer to where we wanted to go. But as an oasis in Singapore it is difficult to beat. I love Shangrila, and I recommend to my friends when they visit Singapore. I come home three times a year and probably spend a month each time at the Shangri La apt. A lovely quiet oasis. But the hotel itself is now a different story. It was mayhem when I was in the lobby and I think it has to do with the bus tour groups conducted at the hotel. I am glad that they are finding a way to make a profit but having tons of people milling around the lobby waiting to do their separate check in def did not seem very shangrila. I suggest that they move the bus touring groups check in to the floor above perhaps? That way they can keep the lobby clear and allow the tourists to also have a less hectic check in. The check in staff were falling asleep at that lobby corner. They can have some privacy in the second floor.

Two nights into a four night stay. In short, the experience is chaotic and attention to detail is lacking. Check in was delayed by almost an hour, my name was spelled incorrectly and the name used in my welcome letter was not mine at all! In addition, the advance check in email, which was designed to save time and effort, quoted an incorrect price for the reservation. Thinking I’d sort this out when I arrived I submitted all necessary personal and financial details and then the link failed, causing considerable concern. Clearly we’ve chosen the wrong time of year to visit this hotel (school holidays) because staff seem to be overwhelmed with the place being at capacity. Which, for the rating of this property is not an acceptable reason for below par service. I’d say it’s ok but not up to expectations.

This is the classic OG luxury hotel in Singapore. The hotel is a bit dated but you can’t go wrong with this hotel assuming you are paying under 300 Singapore dollars. If you are traveling with kids, this is one of the best pools. Otherwise, the boutique hotels are a better value.

I’ve stayed at Shangri-La at Orchard Singapore at least three times—twice in the Valley Wing and once in the Tower Wing. I’ve dined here countless times at The Line and recently visited Origin Grill. My child has visited the hotel at 1.5 years old, 2 years old, and now at 4 years old. This is easily the most kid-friendly hotel in Singapore. Buds, the indoor playground, and Splash, the water park, have always been a hit with him. He had so much fun playing that he fell asleep during dinner at Origin Grill. The car park can be a bit awkward if you’re not at the Valley Wing, as there is no elevator from the basement car park to the hotel. A workaround is to drop off at the lobby instead. Due to some miscommunication, we ended up with two birthday cakes for our little one. Thanks to Sarahwlee and also to Shangri-La Singapore!

Our business partner has made reservations for two of us by their corporate card.||However, upon our check-in the receptionist insisted that she needs to secure our stays by personal cards without checking further.||When my colleague checked out, they just credited to my personal card and only when I checked again with my partner, they said that they may arrange refund within 2 weeks.||How unacceptable she is for the service as any bookings should always have come with a guarantee card to take bills, otherwise, no bookings can be confirmed prior to check in. ||I was so upset with the service.

We booked a 3d2n staycation at the Horizon Club Junior Suite. The room is spacious and clean. The check in process is fast and our request with extra pillows and kids amenities were already ready when we went into the room. We also like that there are different type of pillows that we can choose. We went to the Splash and my kid accidentally knocked her head and knee during the play. We would like to specially thanks to Girlie, who immediately attended to our kid. She is very patient and helped to calm our girl by putting ice packs and talked to her. Also thanks to Mia, Dominic and the rest of the team who came to look at her. The next day when we went to the Buds and saw Girlie, she still remember both our girls name! She and Mia also showed their concern by asking how is the kid. The team also called again to check on her before we check out. We really appreciate that. Our kids really enjoy a lot at Shangri-la as it is kids friendly and they hope they could stay longer.

Amazing hotel for stay in Singapore with kids. The kids loved Splash and Buds, the kids play area and Bake where they made our Christmas cake. Lovely tropical garden and pond with Koi and turtles. The staff were very nice and friendly, helpful and thoughtful about what kids need. Would always come back here with the kids.

I came here to eat the buffet for dinner and to celebrate my sister's birthday. Usually I would always get crabs and clams but today, the clams and crabs tasted different, the taste of the crabs and clams today we're bad. The drinks and Shangri la only are water,Milo, coffee and alcohol. When my sister asked a waiter if she could prepare the birthday cake, the waiter told her excatly this, "Yeah can't you see I'm already doing it?" The price of the buffet is definitely not worth it, the only thing I enjoyed was the ice cream and the tortilla chips. My mom asked the waiter if she could help us clear the table, and the waiter did not after clearly hearing my mom.

We love the Shangri-La at Orange Grove. Rooms are lovely, the outside is lush and green (especially the garden wing), the breakfast buffet has an abundance of choice and our children love the kids facilities (buds, splash, treasure hunt, goodie bag). My sisters and I stay at garden wing. The room is okay, smallish and old. The television is old and is not a smart TV, very disappointed. For over S$700 a night, this is appalling. The only thing we enjoy is the next morning breakfast, we were able to enjoy our breakfast at our own pace.

Overall we had an excellent stay! Rooms: The rooms are spacious for Singapore and feature an elegant interieur. Service: The service was always well intentioned but the staff seemed sometimes poorly trained, e.g. the staff had to double check several things with the supervisor during check-in and check-out. That seemed quite unnecessary. Location: The resort location isn’t close to anything - but that is the point. You either have to walk a fair bit to Orchard Rd or the next bus stop or take a taxi.

Stayed here for 9 days at valley wing with two kids. Hotel is kid friendly with buds play centre and splash water park. Good location as it is walking distance to Orchard rd. Lobby was lux and staff and concierge are helpful and very well mannered. Room in valley wing a little outdated but is still very spacious and kept in good condition and comfy. Good dining options, the morning buffet had a good variety of cuisine and the afternoon tea at valley wing is also very good. Will be back in future!

I went to this hotel last year. The room price was affordable. The room service was so kind and very sweet. The food they provide was so delicious. I like to stay at this hotel very much because the mattress was so good.

A very family friendly hotel. We booked it as our staycation. Our kids could play at the indoor playground, swimming pool and waterplay. We booked it as part of a package. The hotel had a grand lobby, prompt service. The rooms were okay. Not the most decorated or stylish we have seen. But clean. The buffet spread was a lot . However, it was not halal certified so do take note for muslim travellers. The muslim staff did help to let us know which dishes were muslim friendly and that was helpful. Location not within walking distance of eateries. However, a short drive to orchard road for a variety of malls.

We went with high expectations, and was definitely not disappointed! The rooms were classy and huge, and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. It was a breeze during checkin and checkout. Breakfast and teatime was delicious and well spread. My kids absolutely enjoyed their stay there. Special mention to John and his team of dedicated staff. They were extremely meticulous to our needs, and made our meals at the lobby lounge and the line even more enjoyable. We were so satisfied with our stay, that we had immediately booked another staycation there. Shang, here we come again!

We have visited this hotel many times and like the location and ambience but despite having a gold Golden Circle card they did not respond to my requests or answer my emails. Stayed so many times I lost count but finally writing ‘em a review now. Always quite impressed by their services. They can't do enough to make us feel better. The breakfast at line which offer one of the most extensive spread I've seen. Horizon club lounge was great too. Self serve alcohol drinks at cocktail hours and high tea with light snacks. Hope the variety can be better. Will opt for garden wing suites/ rooms if we wanna more tropical resort feel and design/layout of the room is better and safer for kids. Overall Shangri la is still one of the best hotel u can go to for a luxury place to splurge without flying out of the country since it's just 10mins drive from orchard road.

Best hotel in Singapore! Right from the moment we arrived into the hotel, we knew we where going to have a special stay. We have stayed at many hotels in Singapore and this one is the best by far. What makes it so special is the staff. Always courteous, friendly and at your service. I don’t know how they do it but they continuously predicted our needs which is rare. The facilities are one of a kind with pool , where you can relax and admire the fantastic customer service. Finally, the food has been sensational, tasty and very good looking. The breakfast offers a huge variety of food that I have never seen elsewhere before. The location is very convenient, 5 minutes walking from the shopping area of Orchard Road. All sightseeings are quite near (up to 10-15 minutes by car) We highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a relaxing comfortable holiday or has business trip in Singapore.

We really enjoyed the room which was very well kept. The service was also good. Unfortunately, my husband had an upset tummy after ordering room service on Tuesday evening which left him sick for the next day. Other than that it was a lovely hotel. We reported the incident to the management of the hotel who were extremely responsive and genuinely concerned about the incident - which shows that the management do care about quality. This incident wouldn't put us off staying again.

We had an excellent stay. The room at the highest level of the Garden Tower was the best with a huge balcony for us to relax and chill out. My kids enjoyed their stay that they did not want to leave. It was a great playcation package with such generous dining credit, and free access to some of the kids' facilities. Shangri-La is without a doubt the best hotel for families! We stayed with our son and had a terrific time. The staff are truly attentive, kind and so welcoming. The kids pack we received was so good and rooms are amazing. Great food and Buds - kids activity centre is amazing. Kept the kids on a high when the rain dampened our spirits! Our check in experience was excellent. Ms Quraishia went the extra mile to help us with our bookings and also wrote all the timings neatly on a card. The birthday cake was delicious, perfect balance of thick chocolate mousse and sponge. During our previous visit, the escalator from the lobby to the line was very fast. The speed was adjusted, the kids appreciate the change. The manager at the origin also saved our dinner experience. The food was flat but service was very good as usual.

Tower wing standard rooms are very comfortable and with a high floor have a great view over the city. Restaurants are a bit pricey, particularly breakfast but there are plenty of alternative dining choices within 10 minutes walk of the hotel. Staff are very attentive we felt welcome right from getting out of the airport taxi. Beautifully kept grounds can be enjoyed by a short walk through the gardens. Kids club is amazing! Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at Valley Wing. No matter how many times I stay here, I feel great. All the staff members are kind and pleasant! In particular, everyone in charge of the bar, including Sammy, are the best. We stayed for a family trip with children aged 2 and 5.|The room was spacious and an extra bed had been installed next to the armchair which made it quite large. Bath, shower and large balcony as well as everything you need. The children received slippers in their size as well as a bag with lots of coloring games.|The hotel is located +-10 minutes walk from Orchad road and the bus stop and metro one a little further in front of the ION mall. It is therefore not too badly located and you can easily go around by metro or bus with the tourist card. In the hotel, there is a magnificent central swimming pool with a shallower side for children and a paddling pool with water jets for the little ones. There is also a second swimming pool for children with water games, some slides etc. There is also a kids club but for a fee.|For breakfast, there is really a choice and something for all tastes! It was a perfect stay in an exceptional setting.|To get around you can also use the Grab application which is not very expensive.

This hotel is frequently visited for major events, seminars, wine auctions, meetings, meals, and coffee. It is a hotel with relatively good service, a unique scent, a high ceiling in the lobby, numerous decorations, and very neat and well-equipped bathrooms and other facilities. The parking lot is old and the parking lot and the hotel are not connected by an elevator, so it can be inconvenient when it rains, but there are guides and staff to organize vehicles so that they are not delayed, so it feels quite luxurious. I give it. The Shangri-La Hotel, which has unique clothing and makes you feel like you are in a foreign country, provides excellent service befitting its 5-star name. However, it is not connected to the subway or bus, so it has limitations in accessibility without a car. However, it has the advantage of being good for protecting foreign state guests or VIPs, making it a hotel that turns a disadvantage into an advantage. I plan to review it next time I visit again.

Last time I traveled, I stayed at a hotel near Marina Bay, so this time I chose Shangri-La because I wanted a quieter place. You can reach the Orchard with a short walk, and if you take a taxi, you can go to Sentosa Island, the zoo, or anywhere in the bay area, so it was better than I expected. The staff's service is excellent, and I feel that this hotel is the birthplace of Shangri-La. Facilities such as the pool, breakfast, and playland where children could play were also at a satisfactory level. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that although I was completely satisfied with the tower building, I was envious of the garden building that I could see from my window. Next time I come to Singapore, I would like to stay at the Garden Wing.

Overall a good hotel, but a bit older. It definitely doesn't live up to its stars. Too few staff and not service-oriented enough. A very long queue at check-in and check-out. Incredibly poorly organized at breakfast. Lots of free tables, but you have to wait at the front until you are assigned a seat. Some processes can be significantly improved here. The rooms are fine. Once you're there, the breakfast buffet is very varied and quite good.

We were in Shangri La Wing Valley. The absolute crowning glory...A beautiful hotel with different categories such as the Tower and the Garden View! We had a one bedroom suite in the Valley Wing (best category) and therefore had almost all the privileges including an excellent breakfast buffet (including drinks such as champagne from 12:00 to 10:30 p.m. and butler service). The suite, food and service are absolutely world class. We would love to come back!🤗

Anyway, the best hotel. As the hotel is located in the birthplace of Shangri-La, the vast natural surroundings are amazing. It has a tower, valet and apartment area, with a lovely courtyard inside the valet wing. All of the facilities are excellent, including the restaurant, pool, gym, and spa. The gym doesn't have many users, but it has two types of saunas (steam and dry) and a jacuzzi, so it's worth using. All the staff are very nice and polite. Japanese support is available at various locations, so you can feel safe and comfortable. It's a bit of a walk from Orchard, but the location is right in the middle of town. I would like to use it as many times as I want.
