Reviews of Tai Hoe Hotel
Although the rooms are not very spacious, the room service deserves commendation. They cleaned the room and replaced towels and toiletries daily without fail. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel does not provide meals, and there is no dining area available. However, plenty of dining options are just a short walk away. Vending machines for snacks and drinks are conveniently located at the hotel entrance.
The nearest and most convenient metro station is Farrer Park, which can be accessed through City Square Mall. Additionally, the hotel is very close to Mustafa Centre, Singapore's popular budget shopping destination.
The notices about fines and charges with regard to lost hotel items or breaches of regulations feel a bit overwhelming though.
Overall the bed was hard, linen was not really clean, blanket is not proper π
π
, the room is small, but i like the view.
Woman staff was nice, and man staff (reception) was not really good haha, housekeeping man is ππΎ
Hi All,
We had stayed there for 8 days (May'2024) and the location of the hotel is the highlight since it was easy for us to travel across MRT in Singapore with good restaurants around. The rooms are pretty fine.
Only concern was that the bathrooms were pretty small.
The person at the reception was very supportive (sorry missed the name) and we would definitely recommend for the stay here
We stayed as a family of 3 in this hotel in April, Although the rooms are tiny which is a problem with all hotels in SG, but the location is the best. You have the City Mall in front, Mustafa market at the back both are hardly 100m. The nearest Metro is Farrer park which is accessible through City Mall. Room is ok, Tea kettle is available, 24hrs hot water available in porch area but no cold water availability. Our bathroom geyser was not working hence no hot water, we did not take any food hence no comments on food, overall is Ok for 2-3 nights.
Nice budget hotel with great location. Room is exactly like in the picture.bed is hard the way I like it. It's slightly itchy. Aircon works well. So is toilet. Located near lavender station. Walkable.
Yvonne was a great host, she was accommodating and friendly. The hotel was a great location for all the places we went to. You have the mrt on walking distance. The place is clean. Worth your money.
If you are looking for a budget hotel to stay in Singapore, in/around Little India, this is a good place to stay. The Farrer Park MRT is a 5 minute walk. Indian restaurants in the same reach. Mustafa center & City Square Mall for most of your regular purchases and this hotel is right near all of that. The rooms are small and effective if you are a tourist and looking for a place to crash in the night. Reception is ready to assist you in need with what they can. you get the standard bottle of water, coffee/tea sachets, everyday cleaning, etc.
Stayed for 3 days, by SG standards room size is better than more others nearby, room was clean, near to many restaurants and of course the shopping area.
Staff is very good and supportive.
Small but very clean hotel...staff friendly...check in check out easy...small rooms but very clean...muslim friendly because the toilet has a bidet...strategic place easily reach by public transportation...ππ
Value for money in terms of location and proximity to public transport, restaurants and shopping centres.
Room quality and cleanliness was reasonable, not great but hygiene was fine.
Some rooms didn't have windows and proper ventilation, but some rooms were good. Please see the room before you book.
Ask them to clean the floors under the beds if you are stiff on cleanliness.
There is minimum interaction with the hotel staff, very business like.
Buzzing..
Neat and clean..
Centrally located..
Room service is great, they tidy up the rooms every day..
The from office Santosh and Shyamala were very helpful and service oriented
Rooms were okay. Some were quite small but adequate for a stay. Service staff did their best to provide, and I think it was satisfactory.
We had wonderful time there. Handy to walk around to malls and restaurants. Staffs were good. They met our need. Specially Yvonne was loving and caring.
The hotel is really good..... Do not think twice to book the hotel. Walking distance to MRT, Mustafa shopping mall, restaurants.. ||||Rooms are small but that is how it is in Singapore. They provide you with all the necessary amenities. You can leave the luggage and go if you arrive before the check in time.. also you can check the weight of your luggages at the hotel. They have kept a scale at the entrance.
No hot water kettle inside. Only a flask which you have to take and go outside at the corridor to fill. Also, the flask was so long with no visible markings. So hard to see the water level. Hot water tap was also placed very high.Room had a weird stale damp smell. The blankets did not smell great either. No table side lamp so if u switch off lights to sleep at night will be total darkness hahaShampoo and shower gel affixed to toilet was good quality. Used for both hair and body. Nice.Bed firm and hard. Nice!TV channels was Singtel TV cable. Got national geographic, fox life etc.. Very good!Quiet room. Excellent.
My favourite hotel is tai hoe hotel, which in Singapore with the best of amenities and I am sure that you will find the perfect hotel in here. The first thing that I did in my room was to get the football channel and I was so happy that I got the channel that I wanted. There's a mini refrigerator in the hotel for us. I felt complete and satisfied with the hotel staff and workers who were very helpful and friendly with me n my fiancee. Now I am sure that I will be here for my next trip. Me and my fiancee would like to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to be here...πππ Truly; Mr n Mrs Khairul Anuar...
The room was okay a bit too cold from the Air-con outside, Staff are very nice and helpful excellent service mind , location is great
The price is reasonable for me everything is good Iβm very happy with them.
Most importantly the chicken rice from restaurant next door is amazing πππ
Budget hotel that's SG Clean Certified. It's what you'd expect for the price you pay, but the bonus is the location. Located across the Central Square Mall (exit I) that has access to the Farrer Park MRT station of the North East Line.
Hotel tai hoe is a great hotel. This is my second time staying in this hotel. My experience with the staff and the housekeeper are very friendly and helpful π π I have a great time in here. The room was very clean n tidy. The service around here was wonderful and I am glad that I have a good time with the place surrounding the hotel. I felt like to come back again in a future time. I'm now in bed while writing this review for this amazing hotel and looking forward to check in next occasions..I'm going to miss this nice hotel and their experience staff and workers. Many many thanks π for the help and guidance you .... SINCERELY :KHAIRUL ANUAR..
The place is nice, a little bit pool smell on the coridor but it was ok. Room very clean and also it is so near to the city square mall. Thanks for the experience
Great hotel to be honest, 5 stars because of great staff, have excellent staff who cleaned our room everyday ,was amazing experience to enjoy. Would come back here again
I love tai hoe hotel. But i don't like the staff Allah arogant. Especially when they find out the Bedseeth dirty but it's still clean so easy but they ask me to payung $200. Especially I still confuse who put that dirty because my husband or me never have any food yellow colour or something yellow. I really hate the staff they so arogant. But the malay and india staff very kind. The Chinese girls all so bad.
Perfect location - so well connected to MRT, and atleast 3-4 vegetarian Indian restaurants in the walkable vicinity. A mall is also present across the road. Staff is very hospitable and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. Thatβs the only negative part of it. But overall happy with the facility because of the location factor.
If I'm not mistaken I have been staying in this hotel for s a several time. I felt at peace n comfortable..The room here spacious n complete with our daily needs. Plus the staff here are friendly and helpful....truthfully what I experienced here is relax with the peace of mind..thanks for letting me to express my interest here... Khairul...
I amazed and touched by the help provided from management and also a big thanks to the boss for helping my dad and allowed him to stay when he is in helpless situation. I never been across a hotel management who carrying humanity at first place. Sincerely felt so grateful to the hotel management. I wish all the best and many successful year yet to come. Once again thank you so much.
Ideal location for budget travellers.... Room & Bathroom were pretty small though but well maintained.... MRT is available in just 100 mts from the hotel.... No breakfast in hotel but you will find many Indian, Chinese, south Indian restaurants within 200 mts radius...
Checked in for 4 days and I must say that this hotel is in a very much convenient location. Restaurants nearby, City Square mall is just across and Mustafa Centre is 1min away. You can visit temples and parks near, too. There are bus stops and taxi/grab is easy to get. Rooms are clean, they make-up the room everyday and give you water and coffee for free. Staff are very friendly.
Very good location with the MRT directly across the road under a fabulous Mall. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean and the housekeepers did a great job. Would stay again.
It is a budget hotel, we took this hotel looking at the pictures on the net. Overall the hotel can be maintained better. Hotel was not so welcoming. We we're lucky to get the refurbished rooms and it was ok, but still we had to ask them to remove the plastic covers from the mattress as it was not smelling good from other prior visitors use. They did cooperate and make the changes. There is no soap or paste here, please carry your own. There is a bunk bed room which my kids liked. Overall ok if you are just staying overnight.
Very basic hotel. Please manage personal expectations. WiFi seriously needs improvement. The location is really good and there are many food choices within walking distance.
A good accommodation having all d basic amenities.....clean, friendly staff, efficient house keeping, centrally located. Very satisfiedβΊ There is no star ambience, free breakfast or bell boy to transfer luggage but these can be easily overlooked. There are a number of good restaurants, malls around.
It was a nice experience to stay here. The room was okay and worth the price. It is a walk distance to Mustafa Centre and if you are a Moslem it is easy to find halal food around the hotel. You can easily find any kind of fast food in a mall across the street, and it is very near to MRT station
I stayed for 8 days.
Nice Family Hotel.
Reasonable rates Hotel.
Excellent location.
Very Near to Mustafa center which is open 24 hrs.
Near to MRT. Metro stations.
Next to State Bank Of India.
Good variety of Indian and other restaurants around.
Co-operative staff.
Rooms were cleaned daily.
Rooms has small fridge and AC.
Pros: Very strategic location. Only few meters from Mustafa center the 24 hrs mall where you can buy nearly everthing and City Square Mall with Farrer Park MRT station underneat right accros the street in front of the hotel. 24 hrs reception on standby. Clean bathroom & linen. Affordable price.
Cons : modest & small room, mattress was hard, cotton blanket (not as warm as fleece). Twin bed was placed attached to each other (that void the purpose of having twin bed). Not sound proof.
Overall : very convenient hotel for singles (without child) who mostly spend their time travelling outside. So easy to get food and supplies anytime even at middle of the night.
Near to farrer Park mrt. Lot of eateries nearby
Great location. It is easy to locate because it is near to the MRT station and it is across Don Donki mall. Check in process has no hassle because the receptionist speaks good english and she is also polite. However, we are not satisfied with the room we booked. The blanket was not replaced, the rugs are wet when we arrived, and we were also bitten by a bed bug.
Midest hotel, as expected from the price. However, they can still improve the interior of the room, quite simply by making it cleaner and painting the walls. During our visit there, there was repainting on the exterior of the room, and the paint quite smelled. Good that they put announcement saying that they apologize for the disturbance.
Nice and clean. Very friendly staffs. The rooms are small but really clean. Loved the mini bars. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind. Totally would come again.
Very good location.Host also helpful.Halal foods a lot nearby.mustafa center very near.budget friendly.
The location of this place is simply the main reason why someone would stay here. The MRT station (Farrer Park) is right across the street inside the shopping mall (City Square Mall) and the bus station is really less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. This is an old hotel and may have a little smell but for the low price that I have paid, I can't complain too much
I am from Indonesia and it was holidays here and so me and my family decided to go to Singapore for a short trip.We decided to stay at the tai hoe hotel as the price was very attractive, 110$, how could it b cheaper!. firstly, I was very happy with the rooms we got, it was very clean and looked to me like brand new, the service was good and were fast. but the best of all is the location of this place, from our hotel we could basically walk to many malls and food centers and to go further, there is also an MRT opposite.i highly recommend this place especially if you are on a tight budget.
If you are upto shopping in Mustafa Centre and going to spend most of the times out this is one of the best options you have. The staff is really good anf helpful and 24hrs front desk.
Decent wifi is available with the custom pass you are given at the check in. Few minutes to most of nice restaurants and very closeby to city squire centre (a shopping mall).
Transport to any location is easy with the public transportation. MRT staion access is also within walking distance so you can get to any part of Singapore easily.
Had the my room a window and little bit cleanliness, I would have given 5 star rating being a budget hotel. (But I noted they were upgrading the hotel during my visit in April 2017 and things might have upgraded)
If you looking for the acess to this hotel, the answer is yes. ||||If you looking for MALL? Yes, infort of Mall||||You can go from MRT Farer Park. And they have acess to Food area which is Halal.||||Wifi also Good.
Staff literally assigned me a room key with other guests occupying the room and was nonchalantly dismissal as he assigned me a new room.other than service, hotel was good.
Great value for money. Have been spending days staying here from several occasions. Near from the largest convinience store in SG, near the MRT (Farrer Park St.), built accros a mall, and the food stalls are a stone throw away.
Honestly with this price we paid the room is quite small for 2paxs. The only good things is location is convenient walking distance to mrt and shopping mall.
Very good location, wheelchair accessible, the room quite small, but its fair due to the price. Near the mall, many food available...would stay here again π
The hotel is soo clean i loved it,
But the problem is bathroom.
The bathroom is so small
Bathroom door is made of glass we can see from outside lightly
nice and affordable. various options for bfast, lunch, and dinner. small bathroom and the aircon is placed right above your bed.
Room is updated and spacious. Great location, near the city center and train station. Thanks to the helpful staff.
Good hotel with all basis facility. Near to Indian restaurant, co operative staff great place to stay.
Budgeted hotel. Good one. Near to mrt station ,little india. Rooms are small but okay.
As per price, All are very good....
Nice budget hotel with acceptable standards and very convienent place with easy access to MRT and restaurants of every type.
Rooms are clean with nice beds Good value for S$40/ night Very good locations near City Square & Mustaffa Shopping
Nice budget hotel with good environment. Easy access to places. Best hospitality!!!!
Good location...in front of mall, cheap restaurant nearby, very close to mustafa centre and money changer
Book this hotel for 3 days 2 nights from the 17th - 19th, the hotel is affordable, the facilities are ok, only the water heater doesn't work. Room cleanliness is good, the receptionist is very friendly. Here you can leave your suitcase and the most important thing is you don't need a deposit. Very close to the Mustafa center behind the hotel, City Square mall, Farrer Park MRT and bus lines. For those who want to go to Singapore, this hotel is highly recommended.
Clean, convenient, close to food, Islam, China, traveling to various tourist attractions is considered convenient, close to the BTS. But in the morning taking the staff to clean the room is a bit noisy. Good price, considered not expensive for Singapore.
1. Location OK
a. directly opposite City Square Mall
b. close to Mustofa Center, a place to buy cheap souvenirs
c. close to Farrer Park MRT station
2. My AC leaked on the first day, while I asked for a bucket and mop, the next day it was immediately repaired.
3. Soap/shampoo, towels are provided
4. Coffee, tea, bottled water are provided
5. There is a small refrigerator cooler
6. Some of the floor tiles have loose cement, but they are not broken
7. Take hot water outside the room, a thermos is provided.
8. Looks like the mattress hasn't been dried in the sun for a while, and my hands have itchy rashes
9. The window must not be opened, if it is opened it will turn off all the lights and electrical connections in the room
10. The bathroom has a hot shower, sink, flash, glass
>>> hot water has an outlet. If you forget not to turn it ON, the water will still be cold
#written from the trip back to Indonesia after checking out
- It is a cheap hotel that is acceptable. The room is a little old but can be lived in. We slept in a room for 2 people, it wasn't very cramped. There's still enough room to spread out your bags. Cleanliness, we give 5/10, really enough to sleep. Who doesn't think too much? Focus on leaving things okay.
- Housekeeper cleans every day Change the towels. There are 2 bottles of new water provided every day.
- The bathroom has a butt spray. It's not too narrow, but our room has moldy ceilings. But our friend's room doesn't have one.
- Cool air conditioner, room has window Keycard system door The walkways are not stuffy, there is air conditioning, and there is 1 elevator.
- Many Indian people come to stay. There are some Thai people sleeping. The smell of the hotel gives the feeling of an old hair salon.
- Near City Square Mall (opposite side)
- Mustafa department store is directly behind the hotel (20 steps walk)
- There is a food court opposite the hotel, open early in the morning, serving Chinese food (rice and curry), delicious, cheap, and friendly staff.
I stayed here with my family in 3 rooms, 1 triple room and 2 double rooms, for 3-4 nights.
Loved how fast check-in and check-out were.
Although the room is not large, the equipment is quite complete: wifi, TV, indoor slippers, small refrigerator, toothbrush, clothes hanger, drinking water, towels provided every day...
There is also a shopping mall opposite where you can go shopping.
Improvement: There is only a problem with the air conditioner in one of the rooms. It is not cold and sometimes drips. Occasionally there is a little qiang in the toilet.
We chose this hotel for the location as it is very close to the metro stop and in front of a large shopping center in a strategic point in the Little India neighborhood. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Our room no. 601 completely windowless and very small. The noisy air conditioning and the elevator as well. However, we found the beds comfortable. The friendly staff. Poor value for money; it's fine to do as we did just one night. I don't recommend it because for the amount we spent I think we could find better. I wouldn't go back.
I stayed at this hotel in January (I didn't use trip so I didn't review before). Having gone over the budget with the very expensive flights during the Christmas period, I had to reduce the budget for the hotel since the stay was 5 nights. For the cost of the hotel I expected worse, it is relatively clean and equipped with all the basic necessities. In the corridor there is also hot water for tea and in the room they give sachets of coffee and powdered tea (a little too sweet for my taste) and also two bottles of free water a day, which I don't have. not even had in 4 star hotels. Very convenient, it is located just outside Little India so as not to be too busy and right in front of a shopping center with a bar that offers excellent breakfasts at a good price, as well as the metro. The furniture is old but well kept. The reception staff are really very helpful. The only flaw was the annoying midges in the bathroom which I eliminated with a powerful jet of water from a hand shower positioned under the sink. Good quality/price.
