HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND for car air-con issues *Summary: -Air-conditioning in my Audi Q5 was not cold for a few weeks. -Visited a general car workshop near my house and they quoted $2,000++ for changing the air-con compressor. -Then visited the official Audi workshop just to make sure it was indeed the air-con compressor issue. Got a quotation from them for $3,000++ (obviously more expensive) -Then I Googled for a car air-con specialist and came across this workshop by chance. -Visited them around 12:30pm. -They were very quick to assess the problem in more details --> told me that the gas level is okay and the Condenser seems to work (the above two workshops were not so detailed in explaining to me), so only the Compressor needed to be changed. -The boss told me that it can be done under $1,000(compared to $2,000++ & $3,000++) on the spot and he said it will be done around 9~10pm (their official working hour is until 7:30pm) within the same day. -They showed me the NEW Compressor part to give me peace of mind that it's not any kind of refurbished/used parts. -Went home and the boss called me around 9:45pm to tell me that the car is ready. -Picked up my car around 10:30pm (The boss and his 2 staff were still very busy working on other customers' cars at that hour) -Not just the boss, but the 2 staff that work with him are very friendly and hardworking as well. -Really appreciated the honesty, punctuality, reasonable pricing & friendliness. -As a foreigner here, one of the most satisfactory experiences not just in Auto Workshops, but any kind of service in Singapore. My car’s aircon suddenly starts to smell funky after doing window tinting. Visited this shop and greeted by a young gentleman. Initially thought need to do washing/flushing of the AC/cooling coil, however he gave some advices on how to overcome the funky smell. No hardselling, definitely a honest shop and knows their stuff. Highly recommended. Had my car AC fixed today. The boss (I think) is a pro, he checked my car and found the problem in 5 mins. I was quoted by 2 other shops costing over $1k. Was driving around paya lebar area under the hot sun. When the car aircon suddenly switched off by itself. Panic,googled for a car aircon shop and I came across L&Kim Car air-conditioning. Read the reviews and was surprised with all the positive reviews. So without much thinking, drove to Ubi. Was actually skeptical but I gave it a go. Once arrived. Told the boss abt my problem. And tadaa, he really knows his job. Within minute,he can diagnose the problem and it can be rectified. He was detailed with his job,explain if its a need or no to change. The air conditioning of my aging car was been increasingly noisy and to the point where only warm air was blowing out even at its lowest setting. Out of desperation on a sweltering day, I searched for a car aircon specialist in the east and chanced upon L & Kim with glowing reviews. I decided to just drive in at about 2pm on a weekday, and was attended to promptly. Within minutes, the fault was isolated (leaking pipe) and a fix suggested at cost of $180 and 3-4 hours. I came by at 6pm and my car’s cabin was cold like it has never been in a long time. Payment was made using PayNow and I was on my way. It has been a month and the air conditioning remains quiet and effective. Am thankful for the prompt service.

This workshop wouldn’t be 4.9 stars for no reason. Amazing customer service for a car workshop. Did not sell me anything as my aircon decided to work just fine on the day i visited them. Mechanic (not the boss) gave me a few diagnosis of what could have spoilt based on my description but he said he rather not dismantle my car first until the problem occur again or when it happens too frequently. He then taught me a tip or two about car aircon before i left. Would highly recommend!

Honest workshop. Went to let them have a look due to aircon mouldy smell every morning. The technician checked and says that it's generally fine and not a big isuue, so advised to let aircon run without recirculation for a few days and monitor first. He said flushing may not 100% solve the issue too.

Must find them for your car air con troubles. Visited them 3 weeks ago as air con was no longer cold and always had a hissing sound. Did a top up for $20 and also included some oil so that its easier to see if there is a leak anywhere in future. No hard selling of any kind just pure honest step by step troubleshooting . Air con still cold so far so hopefully no leak or just a very small leak.

My car suddenly had an airconditioning issue where the aircon would be cold for the first 10 minutes upon startup, and start to become weaker and hotter to the point it is unbearably hot in sg weather. Found L & Kim on google and the uncle immediately helped us to check and could almost instantly diagnose that there was icing which was causing the aircon flow to be constricted. The current original car’s thermostat is not designed to cut off and so he added another thermostat to control the cutting in and out. After 10 mins of testing the aircon is now consistently cold and works very well! Thank you uncle and would definitely recommend this place to anyone whose car is facing ac issues.

As i reach the workshop i was greeted by Mr Ho, i explained to him about my air con car condition. He without hesitate, he carry out the troubleshooting of the issue i face. I feel really happy. After he done with all the diagnosing , he explained n show me tat the fault was from my cooling coil. He did not force me to change the faulty cooling coil. Drove my 4 year old Citroën Spacetourer to L & Kim as the car air conditioner was blowing hot air. Arrived just as the roller shutters opened at 9:30. Two cars were already ahead. In spite, the staff greeted me and assured me that he’ll attend to me soon. Indeed he did. After a quick diagnostic check, he informed that the car aircon just needed a gas top up. Within 20 minutes on arrival, job done. Smiles all around. Super happy with the results. UPDATE: more than a year later, aircon is still cold. No other symptoms. No other issues. 14/01/2025

My Honda Fit GK3 2019 aircon was not cold a few days ago and the issue persisted. I then approached another aircon specialist workshop in the north and initial diagnosis was a leaking cooling coil after checks done. Compressor, condensor and pipe leakages were all ruled out as well. However, I was not convinced that the cooling coil had leaked as the water test did not show any signs of leakage and I knew that somehow, it was due to other issue(s) that the aircon was not cold. The high quote of $600 to replace the cooling coil was another red flag. I stumbled upon L&Kim in other forums that attested to the owner's genuine and honest services. I promptly made my way here and was greeted by the boss. After similar checks done by the boss, he pointed out that the cooling coil relay was faulty and needed to be replaced. Lo and behold, upon replacement of the relay, my aircon is much colder just like before. Appreciate the honest and genuine services given. Learnt a thing or 2 about the car's aircon system as well from the boss. Would definitely recommend and come back here for aircon services although I live in the north.

Wa...i have been suffering from hot air in the car for the past two days, and today is Saturday at 5.30pm. Just trying my luck to see whether this workshop is able to diagnose something quick. Never did i imagine the tech that served me is able to pinpoint the valve that is leaking, he patiently explains the issue to me. Everything is fixed and the car is cold again within 30mins. Valve and gas top up, total damage Sgd50, simply beyond my expectation. THUMBS UP although i wish i no need to look for them again...

Went down just now to fix my air-con. Has been blowing hot air for a few days already. Quick diagnosis by the mechanic and found out that one of the hose was leaking. Was quoted a reasonable price for it. Overall very happy. My 2nd visit so far. Friendly mechanic too. Recommend!

Wanna share my wonderful experience with this workshop. was there early this morning before they were opened and there's already a few cars waiting. Was served by Ah Ho who was very friendly and professional. I know my car is in good hands when I see him checked my car for the air con leakage. Found a faulty cooling coil and condenser which was replaced at a fraction of the price and time quoted by the car manfacturer servicing centre. Was able to collect my car within the same day is a big plus. My aircon feels like new now. Read the reviews and decided to come here to have them look at my old Hyundai Avante aircon which was not working well even after gas top up recently. The knowledgeable staff did a quick check and diagnosed it is either the compressor or the valve having problem. I know my coil has leaks previously and he showed me how to detect, though this was not the main issue as the aircon was sometimes cold and warm. Discussed with the staff as I do not want to spend too much money changing parts as my car will be scrapping in May next year. He suggest he do a valve change and see if it can help, else the compressor is the main problem. If the more expensive compressor bad, he will leave it and just charge me workmanship fees since I don't want to change for only a few months. Luckily it was the valve and changing it fixed my aircon. Now it is so cold that the car windows frosted. Great work by L&Kim!! 😆👍

Definitely a place to come if you want to get good advice and fix your car Aircon. Sent my car in before 0930 and a quick check was done by Ah Ho to confirm that the cooling coil was leaking. Replacement completed within the same day. Ah Ho also help to tune my car back Aircon as it was not blowing out any wind. Great experience and will recommend friends here.

I seldom share review online. This place worth mentioning. My car AC was leaking refrigerant for a couple of months. Sent to various workshops and all diagnosed the coil is leaking and recommended 2 days of work to dismantle the dashboard. Quoted $1.2k in JB to $1.7k in sg. Car has less than 1 year coe 😬. At L & Kim, first they top up gas together with a green oil. Let me drive for 1 week before appointment. During appointment, they advise that my car has 2 coils, 1 inside front dashboard, 1 in rear boot. They check for green oil in the rear first and found the leak in rear coil! Repair cost $500+ and collected car within the day. They also inserted scope camera into front coil to check for leak and found it not leaking visually. All in all, kudos for the great diagnostics. My 2 cents worth: they only do AC. By focusing on 1 thing and the only way they can be in business is to do the one thing really well. Highly recommended

This morning, was driving and suddenly experienced my car’s aircon suddenly blowing hot air and not cold. So I googled car aircon servicing workshop and managed to find this aircon shop & read many good reviews. Drove to the shop and saw one mechanic was repairing another vehicle & told him about my aircon issue and he immediately stop what he was doing and attended to me. Did some diagnostic and explained to me what could be the issue and told me that he will just top up the gas for the moment with a minimal charge & we will review again should the issue resurface. Found out his name is Ah Chong and am very happy & satisfied with his professional service with advises & explainations. Now my car is as cold as in winter in Iceland :) and will see how it goes. Will definitely recommend my friend to this shop..honest & sincere workshop is a rare commodity nowadays and when you find good service, please do not keep it a secret..

Very experienced mechanics there. Glad to have found this air-con repair workshop to solve my air con problem. After initial diagnosis, I scheduled to drop off the car at 9.30am the next day. They open exactly at 9.30am. It's a first come first serve system. Was told the repair will take 2.5hrs max, received a call by 12pm to say my car was ready. They will show you the parts that have been replaced, and where the problem was. Professional job! Payment can be cash or PayNow.

Second time I am here. I can say that I am impressed by the professional, honest and reasonably priced service from this workshop for car aircon problems; that's very hard to find elsewhere. Had a problem with my 10 year old Audi A6 aircon blowing hot air from the left side vent. Then the power to the car's climate control module was completely cut off. This happened to me a few times. Before this, I went to several mechanics who suggested replacing the climate control module. Original was $2000+, 2nd hand about $600 to $800. At L & Kim, Chong and his boss did a thorough check on the problem. They identified it to a possible faulty water heater pump which not only caused the hot air but also kept tripping the fuse to the climate control module. Because the original part costs $1400, Chong devised a simple solution by removing the power supply to the pump (which is redundant in our climate, unless you want hot air!), to monitor and come back if there were any further problems. He ran my car for an hour just to make sure this solution works. He also gave me a few extra fuses and showed me which fuse to change in the fuse box if it blows again. For all this work, he only charged $70 : ) I thoroughly recommend this workshop if your car needs professional, honest and reasonably priced services for car aircon problems.

Leaky evaporator on BMW E87, repair quote less than $1k and 1 working day (versus other general workshops). Left the car overnight from 6pm and was done by 12.30pm the next working day. Much faster than I expected for them to use the full working day (by half the time required). Nice to interact with and friendly, thumbs up.

Giving the shop 5 stars till proven otherwise. Went in to get my broken car AC looked at and Ah Hao took time to explain what the issues are after a quick check, shared the likely cost ($930) before asked, and the time it would take. I asked for spot for the next week and went in again, where he reiterated on the info and cost once more. Got the car back after about 4 hours (an hour or two earlier than estimated; presumably, they would rather overestimate than underestimate). No CC payments, but was short for cash payment when I got there, and Ah Hao accepted bank transfer for a couple of hours later (am grateful for that). Car AC works perfectly since.

Read good review decided to get my Subaru XT aircon repaired. It was not cold after repair 2 years ago. The Boss was very patience to explain the likely problems and how he was to fix it. Not like other that will brush you off. He found the condenser was leaking and changed the parts and also put in new valve and cleaned all the parts . Took about 2.5 hours, quick quick. The cost was reasonable considering that the last time I changed was slightly more costly. Now the aircon is very cold. Will definitely recommend him for any aircon jobs.

Replaced my 320i cooling coil for a reasonable price. Was quoted $400 cheaper than another workshop. Took half a day instead of 2-3 days downtime as claimed by another place. Was surprised when Mr Kim called me at 9pm and informed me that I can collect my car if I want. Sent car at 3pm. He even showed the faulty part that was removed and replaced.

Great service by Ah Cheong and Boss Ah Kim. My car's aircon was cold intermittently. Ah Cheong diagnosed that the compressor might be weak, need to change. But he also suggested an alternative solution to change control valve which is cheaper and see whether it solves the problem. Indeed it does. It was 1/3 of the price of a new compressor fix. They are honest and explained the whole process on the repair. I would recommend anyone to give them a try next time your AC gives you problem. Thanks guys.

Went to find out why a loud rattling sound occurs when the aircon cuts in. Both mechanic Chong and boss Ah Khim teamed up to do a thorough investigation and found compressor damage as the root cause. Chong patiently explained that the compressor cannot be salvaged as the shaft has worn out and the fit between the shaft and bearing has become loose thus causing the shaft to knock against the bearings creating the loud rattling noise. Besides replacing the compressor, they also did a thorough job to flush the refrigerant pipes and replace the dryer as these may have been contaminated by the worn out shaft debris. Replacement works was done professionally and payment was convenient via PayNow. Glad to have found a good workshop for car air-conditioning repairs.

Trustworthy place to service air cond. Nissan workshop quoted me $700+ for replacement of condenser unit. The boss here quoted me only $420, for replacement of one condenser as well as servicing of the other condenser coil. All done within the same day. Great savings plus honest work done.

Reading the reviews here I drove in as my aircon was not getting the optimum temperature, got good advise and honest work and feedback on what I should do. Instead of some place where they will open all up and slaughter , here the simplest solution and most cost effective . With advice what to observe and come back when feel like the solution is not working . Strongly recommended
