We engaged Kat through a recommendation from our mutual friend. We are so happy and pleased that she made our dream home come true. She’s definitely an ID that you can trust, responds quickly, and always gives useful suggestions to fit what we had in mind. What we loved was also how practical she was while remaining design focused; she would highlight certain things that would be difficult to maintain in the long term — I’m not sure that every ID would do that! In addition to doing up the interior design, she also helped us so much in choosing colours and furnitures that would suit the theme of our home. She was really on the ball and would even suggest things that would fit our home when she came across any. Another thing is the attention to detail Kat paid to our home. Even upon our first meeting, she already had a rough idea of how she would carry out the project based on our brief, as opposed to other IDs where it was more of a discovery meeting. You can also be upfront with her in terms of your budget and she would recommend materials and finishes to fit but not compromise on design. Really happy with her and the team’s work! Would recommend to anyone. :)

We would mark even 6 starts if it were a given option by google :) Just want to show our family's great gratitude to all the Four Eighths Studio crew for their great efforts in our home reno project. They are good at listening, which is more instrumental before discussing how good they are in the design and project management capability. My wife and I were first impressed by how careful they listened to our requirements, wishes and concerns. They effectively, and also timely (which is constrained by our urgent commence of work request), translated what they heard from us into the sound proposals. The team are very responsive and resourceful during the project period of time. They proposed the source of materials, but never leaving us an uncomfortable feeling of being pushed to buy from their sources. They spend tremendous time accompanying us to visit different suppliers and selecting materials. Their advice always combined the optimal design needs, quality, as well as our budget limit. Amazing how pleasant we were from beginning to end of the project, in terms of % of our dreams turned into reality, ease of communication with everyone in that team, including subcons, and post-project follow ups, small repairs, and photo taking event. A big thank you to the team, and in special, our project lead, Kat. The image has forever engraved in our memory when you kneeled down to draw the shape of the solid wood board for our customized coffee table, bearing in mind you are 7-month pregnant. We were so touched by that moment. For sure, this is a trustful team, which my wife and I would never hesitate to come back if we have another reno needs, or to recommend to our friends. Germaine and I had the pleasure and opportunity to meet Kat out of the 10+ interior designers we have consulted over a variety of platforms. Through a colleague’s referral, Kat was very proactive from the first time we met, keeping in mind the budget that we had set originally (which we burst - DUE TO MY OWN GREEDINESS) haha, coming out with proposal and design ideas that we had voiced out but still undecided on back then. She entertained all our proposal with respect and also tried to integrate her own elements in the overall design which was well appreciated coming from a couple who don’t have any experience. Fast forward to the construction phase, everything was well planned out in terms of datelines, timeline as well as the milestones. Communication was very clear. She will be upfront on what could go wrong and what is behind schedule if there were. And she would ensure she will be there to help us think of how we could always go about the issue without much consequences. On top of that, she will always go the extra mile to help us look for, suggest, and give reviews on potential furnitures/fixtures that we are thinking of so that everything can blend well. Even up to today, where the project was completed in September, we are still in close communication as friends. All in all, it have been a great experience and pleasure as a first time home owner with Kat and her team. I would 100/10 reccomend Kat and four eighths studio’s team for their service.
