Reviews of Telok Blangah Rise Market & Food Centre
Tried the corner SG Soya Sauce Chicken rice because the other hawker near Blk. 25 2 stops away is closed for cleaning. Quiet place to dine with a busker singing away on a Tue afternoon. Chicken rice is $3.80 only - huge portion of rice. Stall holder works briskly, there's a short q every time.
Chicken is tender, rice soso to be frank, chilli is on the watery side and not spicy. I quite enjoy the ginger, u can self help though. For this price point, i have no complaints.
The taste is nice, simple yet refreshing. Cost $5.00 for the noodle while coffee from stall #01-50 cost $1.00.
Not so crowded usually. Several good stalls for lunch. Duck rice, CKT, noodles and Bah Chor Mee.
It was a rainy morning and i had nasi lemak at stall name bonda ecah (if im not wrong) for my brunch. Not many people as it was before lunch time but there's a drink stall where the uncle only accepts cash payment.
Enjoyed the food here, especially the traditional flavours like hokkien style stirfried bee hoon and oyster omellete. The stall that i tried is quite popular in the evening.
Not all the stalls are open
Find nothing much to eat
Still can find carrot cake at $2.50 here. Nice cup of Coffee at $1.
Set Chicken rice, carrot cakes & CKT is good
Good place for morning and afternoon local meal.. Cheap and good..
Visit before dine-in restriction of Phase 2 (heightened alert) from 22 January 2021.
More advicery signs. Good food
A new chicken rice stall has come in. It serves good food and service is fast and good.
Ample parking.
Several stalls with nice food. Hai Yan Teochew Fried Kway Teow where you still can have Fried Bee Hoon or Fried rice vermicelli in additional to fried rice noodle, very rare today. It is fried 2 plates at a time when busy. Directly behind there is another stall with the same name but, it is a drinks seller.
About 3 stalls away or the corner stall alongside the drink stall is a nice dark sauce chicken; rice and noodles. Sigh... unfortunately, the opening hours are erratic and unpredictable. I was lucky once, yes, only once in several months. A game of chance ?
Another good stall is the Teochew dark sauce braised duck; rice and noodles, your choice. It is directly opposite the fried noodle stall. Their opening hours are consistent, never miss them on weekdays for lunch. Behind the braised duck stall is a Zi Char stall, I had fried black beans fish head rice vermicelli or 豆豉鱼头妙米粉, it was good !!!!
Of course, there is also a carrot cake stall, usually close around noon. Taste is OK, good enough to quench your chai tou kway yearnings.
Old time wet market & hawker centre. The fried kway town & carrot cake stalls are very good. Likewise the fruit stall at the wet market side has a very large selection of fresh fruits at a reasonable price
This market is of older design. I would recommend the Public's Chicken Curry Rice, Nasi Lemak King & Long Feng Fried Oysters. please note that long Feng Fried Oysters is open thurs to sun and at evenings only. in the morning, also thurs to sun, they sold Chwee kueh (steamed rice cake with preserved radish) and it's quickly soldout usually around 8am+.
Honest hawkers serving good food for livelihood. They need your patronage to attract more customers.
Stumbled onto the only chicken rice stall still opened at 6pm yesterday .Friendly couple.
Took away soya-sauced chicken and an egg for $3.50 . Hugh pack. Excellent.
Long Feng Cooked Food is back with the Wife preparing the Oyster Fried Eggs at 5pm from Thursday to Sunday Evening, Taste delicious. Why not give it a TRY?
Very limited choices of food. The fish soup is good, bantam fish and portion is big enough for an adult. Price is worth it at $3.50
One of the best char kuey teow stall, the noodles are fried plate by plate and you can customise your order as well. MUST TRY!
great for breakfast and lunch
The curry rice and the soya sauce chicken is simply fantastic. THe curry rice starts at 5am till about 9am only
Many food stalls , however need to imprrove in cleaniness inside the stalls and outside. Also need to get MOE to check on stall staff food handling using bare hand.
Not many stalls. The only stall i patron most of the times is the duck noodle. The duck is very tender.
Limited stall options. Basic amenities available like POSB atm machine, laundry shop, clinics and saloons.
Spacious and not so crowded. Nice old school food around. Duck rice and vegetarian food favorites...
Nice food like duck rice, curry rice
Turnover of hawkers is quite high. This char siew noodles at 01-19 is too expensive at $5.
Char kway teow is good and cheap. Zi char stall on the same row is very cheap too. Take care from dive bombers.
Should do something better to improve and no crows also the old memories and the wet market nothing
Is a quite market to enjoy nice food like carrot cake, fried oyster and curry rice
Enjoy your breakfast and lunch here .. try the fried carrot cake, but be prepared to Q on the weekends
Not many food stalls but the Prata is good. Very good dall and fish curry.
Good place to avoid queues during lunchtime around the harbourfront area.
More than half of the stall not operating. Hawker food cheap and good.
