Almost always trying to find a nice place to have a decent glass of red while enjoying a quiet dinner in a nice and cosy environment. This place checks all the right boxes.. The wines here span the gamut from new world chilean and crowd-pleasing aussie reds to old world Italian Amarones and French Pomerols..a very impressive range to say the least,at least 300-400 labels i would reckon. Think i even saw quite a few Sassicaia's, LaFites & Ornellaia bots there.😅 Ways,food was better than what i expected,kudos to the chef. The grilled octopus had a smoky,heavy binchotan-grilled flavor to it..superb.Only peeve was the very chewy texture of the meat,which i felt could be much more tender. The deep fried chicken wings were nice and crispy,with a subtle umami-ness to it cos of the prawn paste in the marinade itself. The star of the evening was the cold cuts platter though. All the meats from the Saucisson sausages to the Prosciutto and Salami were all excellent,very high quality meats. Also good were their olives and pickles and grapes. We had a very nice Henschke blend, I think it was the Keyneton Euphonium. Supple and easy going,with notes of red and black berries, good nose with a medium to long finish.Definitely not in the league or even close to their label's Hill Of Grace,of course, but pleasing to say the least. The staff was really nice,as he gave us crystal bourdeaux specialty glasses to drink out of,elevating the taste of the wine to another level altogether. Worth another visit,and then some.😉 Food: 7.5/10 Ambience: 7/10 (Background music way too soft,should be a little louder to add atmosphere) Service: 8.5/10 (Friendly and effecient,very warm) Wine Range: 9/10 (Superb, bar none) My Rating: 8/10 (Promising place indeed)

I found That Wine Place via Restaurant Week and decided to give this new kid on the block a go. Food was fantastic even though it seemed to specialise in wine, and the service staff was kind and accommodating. Highly recommended for a casual lunch anytime!

been here twice for wine and really love the chill vibes and selection of wines. the owner is very knowledgeable about wines and friendly towards wine noobs. some wines are served in decanter where needed. highly recommended!!

A standout restaurant and our favorite jaunt in the Holland Village neighborhood. I've been here with friends, family, and intimate dinners for two and have enjoyed it in every capacity! The restaurant set up lends to a cosy vibe, like a home away from home. It was apparent to us that, from our first to all our subsequent trips here, the service is consistently exceptional and the owner is eager to share his love and knowledge on wine and their pairings. It's been a while since I've been back and am eager to visit again soon as the food is delicious (Octopus and Iberico dishes are our fave) and the wine selection is vast (an option for all palates and budgets). Shoutout to Mr Joon Peng, Vivian, and Adeline for your attentiveness and making our nights at TWP so enjoyable! Can't wait to be back.

Finished work early and decised to drop by here for Friday evening drinks. Ordered champignon croquettes, gambas al ajilo and Spanish La Rioja Gran Reaerva. Absolutely amazed by the range of wine selection here. The gambas is certainly the best I've ever had even when compared to what I had in Spain. Kudos to the chef. Gambas may not look like much but what amazed me was the texture of the prawns. It's the most succulent and juicy prawn I've ever had I must say, with the most balanced mix of garlic, parsley, black pepper, peperoncino and olive oil. It's also pretty peaceful for a nice chill out with soft jazz music for a Friday evening in SG. This place certainly deserves more mentions than it currently deserves. Price-wise is reasonable for the quality provided.

Riesling was easy to drink, frog risotto was yummy but Garoupa was tough, fishy and we left most of it. Chef was nice to comp a dessert. Will give them one more go.
