Reviews of Wine RVLT
Food was on point. Everything tasted really good and would love to go back for more. Definitely get the nuggets and the crab crystal toast! Amazing collection of wines to set you up for the night as well. It might get loud at the peak of the night but a good and fun atmosphere.
Ambience is great and the food is excellent. Portions are small, but good enough to share. Recommend to book a table in advance!
Overall, food was generally good but overpriced. Had the below:
- Home-made Sourdough with Whipped Seaweed Butter ($9): I really liked the butter! Very tasty!
- Chicken NcNuggets with Home-made Fermented Sriracha ($20): The nuggets itself were pretty yummy (I could taste real chicken), sauce was average at best, but whole dish was overpriced and you’re better off ordering Spicy McNuggets from McD (cheap and good)
- Air-dried Beef Tartare, Ginger-Scallion, Cured Egg, Rice Wine Dressing ($30): Nice; the tartare went well with the cracker
- Taro Dumpling, Mushroom Duxelles, Home-made Shitake Shoyu, Taro Chips ($32): Average; can skip if you have ordered too much
- Buckwheat Spaghetti, Monkfish Liver, Smoked Bouchot Mussels, Caviar ($38): The sauce was yummy, but I just cannot get over the texture of the spaghetti. It was too hard!
- Calamansi Tart, Creme Fraiche, Burnt Meringue ($16): I liked this dessert! Very light as well.
- Milo Dinosaur ($18): Average. I wouldn’t order it again.
If I could give this place a 6/5 I would. The two bottles of wine they helped us select were delicious. The chef's menu was exceptional. We stayed a while so ordered some cheese and the beef tartare. The beef tartare beats any we have had back home in Australia for flavour, compliments to the chefs!
amazing place and hospitality! we started off with some burrata and sourdough. personally, not a big fan of the burrata as it has sardines, but my friend enjoyed every last bit of it! sourdough was too tough for me, i do enjoy this truffle butter at the side! featured is the ravioli and ITS SO GOOD! its a must get, definitely the best one i’ve ever had! we also wanted to get their highly raved lobster pasta, but it turns out they change their menu from time to time. staff took care of us the entire time, we were so thankful!🙏 clive also know his wine very well 👍
They recently changed their menu. Seaweed butter with sour dough was really yummy but the new mains were average. I really wanted to try the patty melt sandwich that most ppl raved abt previously but it was no longer on menu. The pasta tasted too fishy - the monkfish and cream didnt really go well tgt. The wagyu steak was too salty, perhaps leave the shoyu sauce as side. Having said that, steak was tender.. but service was good. It's a pity they changed their menu
Had a amazing experience here ❤️ Thank you to Sunny , Irwin and Clive + team for the great service and food !!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Was here for a dinner celebration and the vibes of this space is unique. Cosy set up with different types of seating, the wine menu was translated into empty wine bottles stacked on shelves against the walls for easy our reference and selection. I believe their food menu is seasonal and tweaks quarterly. The burrata plating and ingredient mix was very interesting and unique. The buckwheat pasta portion was small but absolutely delicious and the beef tartare is equally good too. In summary, the dining experience was extremely unique and satisfying to the taste buds.
Just the best vibes and food! Patty melt and uni pasta is to die for, and with an amazing list (or wall perhaps) of wine to choose from!
This place is my go to wine bar, and if should be yours too.
What a nice way to start the weekend! The staff are friendly, got introduced to naturalised wines and the dish of the night for me was the burrata (rosemary vinegar jelly, pine nuts green olives lime sauce)..refreshing!
Insanely good! Don’t sleep on this - if Irwin is on duty, ask him for wine recommendations…
Great ambiance. Good foods and great wine selections. Love the “$50 Puke Charge” :)
Cool wine bar with awesome ambiance and interesting selection. The menu is the bottles on shelves on a wall.
Don't come here for wine by the glass, they simply don't offer.
One of my favorites in Singapore. Creative (and delicious) food, great service, tasty natural wines.
From Los Angeles and the st Regis recommended this wine bar to me. I was more than impressed. The natural wine selection was extensive. The music and atmosphere was chill, but fun. And the food was great! Great spot to go to start the night. Get the pasta with shrimp in the uni butter sauce!
Great selection of wines, including pet nats. Casual, easy-going vibes. Great service. Food menu is pretty small but I understand that they change their food menu monthly.
Overall great place to be for wine-y days!
Food and wine are very good, only one suggestion is to divide the place from kitchen for avoiding fried smelling all over the place.
Nice wine , foods , music , people’s !
Great natural wine selection could be found here… fancy fancy cute labels , good selection of foods to pair with the wine too.
Large selection of wines. Clearly very popular so it was super noisy. The food was good though. It's a nice place to be at.
Visited during the Meat Smith's chef menu weekend and all the dishes were unique and delicious
Really really nice! Service was there but non intrusive. The staff was very well versed and made great recommendations. Thanks Ming! The food, the ceviche and the tartar was mouthwateringly delicious.
Friends and I ordered 2 bottles of red wine, one glass of orange wine and 3 side dishes. Bill amount to $330+.
We are here solely for the organic wine which one bottle served around 5 glasses.
Sides were good but price is way too steep.
We ordered 6 nuggets ($24) 4 cod fish OTAH ($16) and duck liver - 3 pieces ($21)
When the dishes were served , I was taken aback by the portions. Even tho food is not bad but felt it wasn’t value for money. I wouldn’t be here to try the food.
Service staff were great. Overall experience was not bad but if only the cost of the sides could be more reasonably priced or to consider increasing the portions, then it would have been a perfect night.
We enjoyed the experience of choosing our wines on the wall of bottles, together with the staff who was very knowledgeable about the wine selection. Lively atmosphere and great vibe in the restaurant, perfect for a weekend night out.
However, most of the food was only good at best, not sure if it lives up to the hype or if it justifies the steep price points. The exception was the sourdough and seaweed butter. I'd eat a whole bowl of that butter if I could!
Great bar with laid back crowd. Organic wines and great food! Will be back. Come try it!
I love the place ❤️. Good vibes positive energy
Food 5/5
Service 5/5
Atmosphere 5/5
Comments: The OG of natural wines - the service and food is immaculate. Ian, Alvin and team are pioneers of natural wines in Singapore, ensuring a thoroughly enjoyable experience each time I' visit. Highly recommend.
Meh
Salty food, wine recommended taste like ammonia ,errrr not v impressive leh☹️
Great selection of wine. Good ambience. Wine and finger food a bit pricey but will definitely head back again for the vibes.
Fantastic food with natural wines! Great friendly service!
The Good: lively and fun atmosphere. Great food. (standout dish - the hassellback potatoes!) Eclectic menu. Top notch service.
The Not So Good: wine is limited to organic wines - roughly $100 per bottle - punchy. Your clothes and hair stink of the kitchen.
Would I go back?
Been here twice (both occasions I didn’t book). Fine to go if someone else books but I wouldn’t book it 😬
Incredible restaurant. Many delicious fusion dishes and a great wine selection. Lovely atmosphere too!
There are many choices of wine, primarily natural wine. However, there isn't a wide variety of food options, and it's not very tasty. I hope they can improve the quality of the food. The prices are not budget-friendly
Natural wine and an interesting food menu. Surprisedly, food was very good for such a place and we enjoyed. We were there at 6pm and the crowd starts to pickup after 9pm. It was packed when we left at 11pm. Was told that the Sparkling and Still water are complimentary, love sparkling. The serving staff were all very friendly. I had 2 bottles today. One from South Africa and the other from Austria. Both were good. Will come again to try other natural wine.
Great place to catch up with friends. Ambience was chill and fun. The music selection was nice. Interesting wines but food was overall pretty good. Will come back. Note to management - service team while good, but was over enthusiastic in refilling wines.
Charming place with really wine and even better service from the staff. Super friendly vibe, feels like I’ve known them for years. The male stuff who have been hitting on females have started hitting on males now, and my wife is secretly jealous and annoyed 😛
LEGENDS ON CARPENTER STREET
Incredible range of Wine's, and staff are always happy to share and explain the bottles. Music, ambience and staff are always friendly and their positive energy gets everyone in a great mood, esp during these trying times!
Also. Those. Nuggies. *CHEF'S KISS*
Granted, I’d finished one bottle of wine with a friend by the time I came here, but even through the wine haze I recognise a good place when I see it. Chose another bottle at random (am pleb am sorry) based on the recommendation of the staff and it went down smooth like honey. The place was casual and fun. Heard their karaage is amazing so I’m reserving the last star for when I taste it.
I enjoyed the food here in my previous visit, and booked for a visit this weekend, however I decided not to re-visit reading through how the restaurant responds to 1 star ratings.....
Food and wine were great, ventilation can be improved. Portion of the food was rather small, but not to the extent of complaining.
One of the best place to get a natural wine in Singapore. Their list of wines is amazing and each of them are unique. One of my favorite being their orange wine(white wine with longer maceration period) by Radikon. They also serve great wine by the glass that always change every couple of days.
As for the ambience, this place is the king of relaxed drinking. You won't get an ounce of the intimidating vibe here compared to any other wine lounge. The decoration was really cool and everyone took a really good care of every wine enthusiast that decided to put their feet on Wine RVLT's doorstep. Most importantly, they really know about their wine.
N.B. To sum up how cool this place is, it has Stranger Things on TV while playing N.W.A and RAtM on the speaker.
Found it a bit overrated. Didn't like the food too much, not too many wines available by the glass and place smelt a bit musty. Won't be back - many other great wine bars
Excellent, love the sharing style platters that go beyond the ordinary with amazing cuisine. Chatty and easy going staff make the wine selection fun!
A niche wine bar within Singapore. A good range of wine. Great to see Natural wine has entered into Singapore and Wine RVLT being apart of this movement. But WAY overpriced. Needs a good price restructure on wines that are 5x shelf price.
Excellent dinner and amazing wine with great service overall and the atmosphere is lively. Great date night spot!
Excellent selection of wine. Professional somm Mr. Alvin Gho! Vibrant environment!
Join the revolution!
Amazing place in Singapore where to drink natural wines from around the world!! The Spanish cook does amazing food too. One of my favorites places in Singapore.
Let me quote led Zeppelin when I say this place is "somethin' else!" Not your conventional, snooty, ilovefrenchwine bars. This place is all about character - something Singapore lacks. Not a falut of it's own. It's about wine that'll take you above those district 12 elitist in Paris. It will conjoure a new personality for you to hold on to. So, go forth, my brave warriors of yore. Discover neovintage. Discover wine that will set you apart from the norm and the Normans of the world.
Tres, tres excellent food to go with natural wines! Run by two dudes, the vibes are great although so is the reverberations bouncing off the walls - - the only drawback.
Love the influence of RVLT on the SG wine scene. People are turning to artisinal wineries more and more, while other wine bars are trying to grab their fame with focus on "natural" wines. But there can only be one king - or two in this case - Ian & Alvin. Viva la revolucion!
Great wine, amazing food. The wine list is very unique, there is a wall full of went bottles with prices in then!
Cosy place, good variety of wines
Great food, great wine
Great place, atmosphere, team and wine list !
Just go...
One of the best Natural Wine Bar in the world, Great selections and wonderful atmosphere.
Great food and wine. Loved the entrees more than the pasta mains. A tad on the pricier side but well worth it
Great food wine and service. But high prices.
Brooklyn vibes. Great wines, cheese platter (toasted walnuts were chefs kiss) and both desserts were super yums.
Nice spot to drink good wines!
Good food, great wine selection. A bit more expensive than craft beer, though.
If you're into natural wines this is the place to be
Food and service are on point!
Can only buy wine by the bottle though, so more suitable to come with friends.
Great staff, usually good music and a great variety of wines - all without additives.
I recommend !
The best wine bar in Singapore hands down. Great mood, great wines
Great food for sharing...delicious chicken. Interesting and great drinking wine collection with very knowledgeable sommelier...
Great place, food, wine selection, people. Everything is on point. A bit of humor..
Best place to find organic/natural wines and food is great.
Nice place with large variety of organic wine
Interesting and yummy wines, delicious food, friendly informative unpretentious staff
The amount of Wine options they have is just crazy! Will visit again for sure.
Great concept and amazing wine selection!
Nice atmosphere for chit chat and drink.
There are many red and white wines to choose from, as well as many special wine pairings and dishes, and very friendly service.
